I like it when Teams automatically adds a "Charm" to meetings 🏠
There are only a few to choose from but every so often it picks one I forgot existed, before I think to add one. 😊
Sky Sports login notifications?
A while back someone from work gave me his username and password so I could log into his sky sports account on my phone so we could watch a match in the pub. I’ve used it every so often for months now even though he no longer works in the same team as me.
Theoretically, if I use his login on my iPad, will he get a notification?

I’ve been asked not to take lunch after meeting..
Hello all,
Every now and then we have a hour and a half meeting which covers 12:30pm-2pm. After the meeting I went to lunch as I usually take my lunch at 12:30 which I couldn’t this time due to the meeting.
I had a message from my manager when I came back stating that the meeting is considered a work lunch and that’s why food is served during that meeting, so I was not supposed to go on lunch after the meeting ended.
Could someone confirm if this is legal and if I should get in touch with ACAS?
New build estate road - most has red gravel in the tarmac but it switches to white before getting to my house. Why?
It is quite a big newbuild estate with lots of roads and about 95% of the road surface has the red gravel, seen on the right side of the attached photo. but in the run up to my house (basically my house and like 4 neighbours either side) it has white gravel, then goes back to red gravel once you’re round the corner. Will they be doing another layer with red gravel or just leaving it mismatched? it’s quite noticeable.
Lately been feeling the bug. Topped up my balance. Should I pull the trigger?
I’d be playing Horde on Soulseeker (EU).
I work from home and have a lot of spare time. WoW Classic would fill the hole nicely. 🥲
New build estate in UK. Lots of these in my garden especially on the washing line.
Should I be concerned? they look pretty cool, a nice green colour although some of the smaller ones are more brown. this is the biggest one I’ve seen.
north west England. It’s about 2CM long, I’d guess.
Taylor Wimpey refusing to fix leak under kitchen sink because we changed the tap, but the leak was already on the snag report. Where do we stand?
Bit of an annoying one.
My family and I moved into a Taylor Wimpey new build recently and, as you’d expect, had a snagging survey done. One of the snags picked up was a leak under the kitchen sink. There’s evidence of it in the snag report from before we touched anything.
Before Taylor Wimpey came out to fix the snags, we had our Quooker tap moved from our old house into the new one. The original new-build tap was basically bargain-bin rubbish, so we swapped them over. The plumber also moved the Taylor Wimpey tap into our old house so the buyer still had a working tap.
The Quooker plumber was someone I’d met previously through Wren when he came out to fix a leak under warranty at our old house. He seemed thorough, so I asked him privately if he’d move the Quooker when we moved. He agreed.
When he fitted the Quooker in the new house, he actually noticed the leak himself and said something under the sink had been cross-threaded. He adjusted/fixed what he could, but there was still a small leak afterwards. We left a towel down and it kept getting damp.
Taylor Wimpey have now sent their plumber out, but he’s basically said it’s probably down to the bloke who fitted the Quooker and that he should sort it. He did have a fiddle around underneath anyway, but if anything it seems worse now because the towel is getting wetter than before.
The frustrating bit is that the leak was identified on the snagging report before the Quooker tap was fitted, so it feels like they’re using the tap swap as an excuse to dodge responsibility. Everything else on the snag list has been sorted really quickly, but obviously a leaking kitchen sink feels like one of the more important ones.
Someone from Taylor Wimpey is coming again on Monday “to tighten everything up”, but I’ve got a horrible feeling they’ll just poke around, point at the Quooker, blame the independent plumber and leave us stuck in the middle.
For extra colour, I really don’t want to get the Quooker plumber back. Apart from being expensive, he also came out with a lovely bit of casual racism while he was here, saying he “wouldn’t buy a house near a mosque”. So I’m not exactly desperate to invite him back into the house.
Where do we stand with this?
If the leak was recorded on the snag report before the tap was changed, should Taylor Wimpey still be responsible for putting it right? Or have we weakened our position by changing the tap before they had chance to fix the original issue?
Has anyone had similar with a new build developer blaming a later change for a snag that was already documented?
I’m not trying to get them to fix the Quooker tap itself. I just want the leak under the sink sorted, especially as it was apparently already there from day one.

I can’t get my post without being a burden on the person who bought my old house. 😤
