Been feeling sad that this will be the first season in forever with no games with Lee Corso
Wondering what headgear Lee would put on and reminding us "Not so fast, my friends!" was always a wonderful late-morning comfort.
Instead, we get Pat McAfee in cowboy hat and tank top shouting the school fight song, while Nick Saban and the rest of the over-sized/over-stuffed panel of personalities fake-smile and laugh in confusion and dismay.
Hope you been enjoying watching from home Corso, we will always miss seeing you on Saturdays.
If so many teams, including the Canadiens and the Blackhawks, can do theme nights/giveaways, why can't we do the same?
Personally I would love to go early and line up to get an Auston Matthews or William Nylander bobblehead!
Brandon Roy is in the Hall-of-Very-Good (if such a thing existed), but how likely would he have made the Hall of Fame if he didn't suffer his knee injuries?
I always loved playing as Roy in the NBA PSP (Play Station Portable) video games and it has made me think about what happened if his career went longer (even if it was just another four to five seasons longer)
In just five full seasons with Portland, plus an additional four seasons with his alma mater, the Washington Huskies:
3× NBA All-Star (2008–2010)
All-NBA Second Team (2009)
All-NBA Third Team (2010)
NBA Rookie of the Year (2007)
NBA All-Rookie First Team (2007)
Consensus first-team All-American (2006)
Pac-10 Player of the Year (2006)
First-team All-Pac-10 (2006)
No. 3 retired by Washington Huskies

Why is everyone calling December 18th, 2026, Dunesday?
Because we will all go to the theatres to see Dune Part 3 and then call it a day.
EDIT: welp, this is my first post on this subreddit and with the 14% upvote rate at the time of writing this comment, it's now more turning into Doomsday for me
If you scroll down to the bottom, the listing of all the theatres getting Dune Part 3 on IMAX 70MM is confirmed!
34 theatres confirmed so far (sorry citizens of San Antonio, TX)!

Love how the official Arthur YouTube channel has been releasing full episodes the last few weeks (and in their original image/aspect ratio too!)
That is all. Just nice to see these episodes uncut on the web for free!

A pattern of reaction, not action - Titans need to get real about their Ring of Honor after dragging their feet on Chris Johnson decision
Thoughts on this opinion article that was published not so long ago? They also go over some points from previous Ring of Honor inductions
Guy Who Can't Have a Good Time At a Foo Fighters Concert (humour/satire)
Credits to the video's creator, comedian/actor Chris Wilson, for this video, which actually made me laugh out loud at the very end unexpectedly!

youtu.beWhat is an episode of Arthur that you really like or love, but would re-write to make it better?
There has been a post or two about re-writing a bad episode or disappointing episode to make it more appealing, but what about re-writing even a small section of one of your favourite episodes to give it something extra or special?
The Adventures of Ford Fairlane (1990)
Is it outdated and quite controversial with some of the lines and humour by Andrew Dice Clay? Yes, of course. Is it still quite funny though? Yes, of course.
Some of the action scenes were well shot, including the cemetery car chase scene and the Capitol Records Building shootout scene, and was surprised to find it was directed by none other than Renny Harlin (it actually came out the same time as Die Hard 2!).
Plus the supporting cast is incredible: Lauren Holly, Ed O'Neill (with a full-on cop mustache), Gilbert Gottfried, Tone Loc, Sheila E., Vince Neil of Motley Crue, Priscilla Presley, and, as the main villian and his henchman, freakin' Wayne Newton and Robert Englund!
This film ultimately was nominated for a bunch of Razzies and ended up killing the Dice's short-lived career as a leading actor, but still was able to have quite a bit of fun with it. Plus that fake song Booty Time by Disco Express is still stuck in my head!
EDIT: also forgot to mention that Yello (the duo behind the song "Oh Yeah" from Ferris Bueller) also composed the musical score, which was an interesting surprise
Free-to-air broadcast coverage for FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™ secured across Europe - why can't they do a similar thing in Canada, despite the Netflix deal?
Next year's Women's World Cup will be the first World Cup with all the games on Netflix and not television
But in Europe, they have to have at least one game per day on free-to-air television. Why can't TSN or even the CBC make a deal to put a game a day on?
