I genuinely don’t understand how this girl is still here. 💔

Fettuccine came into our rescue at just 8 weeks old.

She was a tiny little puppy who should’ve been scooped up immediately.

And somehow… she grew up here.

She’s now 6 months old, 30 pounds, fully vetted, and STILL waiting for someone to finally look at her and say, “That’s my dog.”

And watching videos like this makes it hurt a little more, because there is absolutely nothing wrong with this girl. Nothing that explains why she keeps getting overlooked.

Fettuccine is the kind of dog who is just happy to be included.

She wants to play.
She wants to explore.
She wants to ride in the car and go on adventures.
She wants to wrestle with her dog friends until everyone is exhausted. 😂
And when all of that is over, she wants to be right there with her people.

She is dog friendly, cat friendly AND kid friendly. She’s doing great with her house and crate training, walks well on leash, does great in the car, and genuinely wants to make you happy.

She’s goofy. She’s affectionate. She’s outgoing. She’s smart.

And she has spent almost her entire little life in rescue.

That’s the part that gets me.

Because Fettuccine doesn’t know she’s being overlooked.

She doesn’t know other puppies have come after her and gone home before her.

She just wakes up every day being the same happy, ridiculous little girl she’s always been — completely unaware that somewhere out there is supposed to be a family of her own.

We’ve gotten to watch her grow from a tiny 8-week-old baby into the beautiful girl in this video.

But we don’t want to watch her grow up in rescue.

She deserves birthday parties.
A spot on somebody’s couch.
Car rides that end at adventures with her family.
A person who knows all of her weird little quirks.
A home where she isn’t somebody’s foster dog anymore.

‼️🙏7/19 Puppy PEPPER could possibly lose her[life in the morning for being in the overcrowded shelter over 100 days, and now 6 months old.

We really don’t her sweet life cut short. She was only a little over 2 months old when she arrived. For 3 1/2 months all she has known is life in a horribly loud shelter sleeping each night on the floor with other puppies joining her in a kennel built for one.

PEPPER is only 6 months old and has been at the shelter since April 9. Instead of growing up in a loving home, she’s spending her puppyhood behind kennel doors. 💔

Her sister was adopted on May 29, leaving Pepper behind, wondering why no one has come for her. 😭

Pepper was spayed and had an adopter waiting for her, but because she was in Wing 2, closed due to a parvo outbreak, the adopter couldn’t pick her up. Sadly, after the wing reopened, the adopter never came.

🚨 Pepper can be euthanized any Monday, Wednesday, or Friday morning with NO WARNING. Puppies deserve to be safe, loved, and playing with a family—not growing up scared in a shelter kennel.

E-collar provided. It is important to check that the fit around the neck of the e-collar daily to ensure it is not cause discomfort for your pet. You should remove the e-collar after 7 to 10 days, or as instructed by your veterinarian.

7/8: sweet and friendly, very gentle and calm loves pets and affection, low energy in kennel.

Owner Notes

7/10: Oreo was surrendered after his owner reported concerns about food-related resource guarding in the home. According to the owner, Oreo growled, barked, lunged, and attempted to rush toward the owner's daughter while she was putting down his food, and he also displayed similar behavior around the family's other dogs when food was present. No bites or injuries occurred, but the owner was concerned someone could be hurt and was unable to safely manage the behavior in a free-feeding household.

Like many German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois, Tyga needs structure, exercise, training, and mental stimulation. Instead, she’s spending her days confined in a noisy kennel, where her frustration shows through jumping, barking, pacing, and trying to escape.
💔 This isn’t a bad dog—it’s a young, active puppy trapped in an environment that doesn’t meet her needs.

🚗 OUT OF STATE OR CANADIAN ADOPTION IS POSSIBLE - cost is typically around $600 USD (give or take). The fee includes transport, boarding, full medical, spay/neuter, and a health certificate.
We are a volunteer network dedicated to helping at-risk dogs. We are not affiliated with BARC. We connect at-risk animals at the BARC shelter with the adopters, fosters, and rescue organizations needed to save their lives. 🚑 Medical Notes:
• 10-year-old spayed female weighing 48.4 pounds
• Heartworm positive
• Severe wearing of her incisor teeth down to the gumline with broken teeth noted
• Moderate muscle loss in both hind limbs with a mildly stiff gait, consistent with suspected osteoarthritis
• No lameness observed during examination
• Veterinarian recommends chronic joint supplementation for comfort and mobility

💜 Winnie is a gentle senior who is showing the normal effects of aging but still deserves comfort, love, and a soft place to rest. Veterinary staff noted that although she has arthritis-related stiffness and worn teeth, she is not lame and could benefit from supportive care and joint supplements. At 10 years old, Winnie should be spending her golden years in a peaceful home-not facing euthanasia in a shelter. She urgently needs a foster or adopter willing to give her the compassion and care she deserves.
