The UK loves salt and vinegar. Its one of the top three of any range int he UK and Ireland, and putting salt and vinegar on chips is pretty common, however in most of continental europe, the idea of putting vinegar on chips is revolting.

New home, TV freshly mounted, dankpods is a must

Just bought my first house, and post painting and mounting televisions, taking a break with the best nugget dip ever.

I really like this thing. But surely this is a very basic problem to fix after 10 years?

2020 Core i7 32gb 1TB

I love it, especially given i got it basically for free. However this screen thing is really annoying me. Surely this is such a basic thing they’d have fixed, still seeing it on brand new macbooks.

2026 Birmingham Council Elections Results

The overall results  so far are as follows:

NO OVERALL CONTROL

🌳 - Conservative - 16 (-6)

🌻 - Green - 19 (+17)

🌹 - Labour 17 (-48)

🪽 - Liberal Democrat 12 (0)

➡️ - Reform UK - 22 (+22)

🔘 - Independent - 13 (+13)

Unconfirmed - 2 seats

========

Conservatives have held most of their usual seats in Sutton and central Birmingham, with the leafy suburbs and Edgbaston remaining blue, however have lost almost all of their southeastern seats, that previously swung between blue and red.

Greens have made a lot of gains in student-heavy and progressive areas in south Birmingham, with large continuous Green patches of map, however not as many in more central areas as expected.

Labour, as expected, have made huge losses just about everywhere, their few seats left are in central, especially along the canals towards the west.

Liberal Democrats have remained pretty similar. They haven’t made many gains, as often in Birmingham, they struggle to persuade the public to elect, but hold their existing seats well.

Reform UK have made expected gains, especially taking some more blue-leaning fringe seats in the south-west, towards Weoley Castle and Rubery. They have also gained a few seats bordering the Conservative Sutton stronghold.

Independents have been successful in more central areas, mostly appealing to ethnic minority groups, and have taken one of two seats on a few councils, sharing with Green, LD, and Reform.

========

Two seats are still yet to be decided, the seats for the Glebe Farm & Tile Cross ward. One of these seats is currently held by John Cotton (Labour), leader of Birmingham City Council.

Note that there will be a delay until numbers of votes per ward are released. Also note, as seen on results day, the website cannot cope with the demand caused by the election, and so pages may be unavailable at times.
