Wang resigned from her post as mayor on Monday, according to the Arcadia City Council’s website.

Acting as an illegal agent of a foreign government carries a maximum term of 10 years in prison in the United States.

The Justice Department said Wang and an accomplice, Yaoning Sun, promoted pro-Chinese propaganda through a website they operated called US News Center serving the local Chinese American community.

“Wang and Sun received and executed directives from (Chinese) government officials to post (pro-Chinese) content on the website,” it said.
Sun pleaded guilty in 2025 to acting as an illegal agent of a foreign government and is serving a four-year prison sentence.

President Donald Trump is scheduled to visit Beijing this week and meet with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping.

CHINESE MAN C-4: NOT A TERRORIST JUST A GUN ENTHUSIAST 🤣

“National Police Chief confirms the seizure of firearms and explosives from a 31-year-old suspect following a May 8 traffic accident, dismissing rumors of sabotage.

National Police Chief Police General Kittirat Phanphet announced the arrest of 31-year-old Chinese national Mingchen Sun at the Na Jomtien Police Station in Chonburi.

Officers seized a large cache of firearms, ammunition, and explosives.
Following a traffic accident on the evening of May 8, 2026, patrol officers noticed the suspect acting suspiciously while carrying a firearm. They coordinated with an investigative team to search his residence, where they discovered a large stash of military-grade weapons.

The police chief dismissed rumors that the suspect was planning an act of sabotage or had ties to the BHQ group or the Cambodian military. Interrogations and intelligence reports indicate the suspect collected the weapons out of personal interest, purchasing them online. Police are still reviewing videos of the suspect at a shooting range, but they assess he was not preparing for a violent attack.

National security officials and the Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC) are conducting a thorough investigation. Authorities have also ordered stricter border controls to prevent similar incidents in the future.”
