How do we fill out surveys?

We have to push surveys where I work and I’ve been trying to fill them out whenever I go to different places now.

I ordered WB on the app but I don’t see where there’s a place to fill out a survey. I know I’ve don’t it before but can’t remember.

Assuming this isn’t leaking air, should I worry about tire integrity?

I found this mesquite thorn in the tire the other day. It doesn’t appear to be leaking (haven’t checked but don’t remember what it was last filled to). TPMS hasn’t alerted yet.

Let’s say I pull it out and there’s no leak. Do I need to worry about the integrity of the tire wall or should I be ok maybe?

We’ve had these for a few years and I’d like to keep all tread depths the same. Or at least by axle.

Best place to buy a mattress?

I'm looking to buy a new mattress. Where do y'all like to buy them from? Any suggestions on Cantwell or should I stick with a national brand?

Any suggestions on a new mattress?

I hope this doesn't open a big can of worms but I'm looking for suggestions on a mattress.

I'm 5'6, 270lbs, and recently had lower back issues due to a protruding disc. I used to be a stomach sleeper but I'm trying to to side sleeping. Some nights I stay the same way, some nights it feels like I moved to half stomach. I've had my mattress for 15 years and it was probably 10 years old when it was given to me.

I had been looking for a new bed and mattress but I think I'm just going to get a frame and mattress.

Near me, I have a Denver Mattress, Cantwell, Lack's, Cubby's, Mattress Firm, and a Rooms To Go. I also considered an IKEA one. A few family members have said the foam mattress wouldn't work for me but I'm not 100% ruling them out.

For me, there are just wayyyy too many brands to choose from. I looked through Consumer Reports and their top rated innerspring mattresses Casper and Denver but then I see a bunch of reviews saying those aren't that good.

I guess I'd really prefer one of the major brands if I'm spending $1k-2k. I honestly don't mind spending $600 for that IKEA one since it has pretty decent reviews but if it doesn't last 10 years I'd be ok.

Do I need to pay a Microsoft 365 subscription to access my work email through Outlook app?

I signed up for Microsoft 365 a few years ago. We use all that at work but back then, I had my email on Apple's Mail App. They required us to switch to Outlook app a few months ago.

I realized I rarely use Microsoft products on my personal device (I'd use it for some work from home but don't really need to anymore) so I canceled the subscription. It's set to expire in a couple of months.

But I remembered I'm using Outlook on my MacBook and iPhone to receive work emails. Is this going to be impacted or is it something on my work's side?

Where can I get sets that match years later?

Hope my title makes sense.

Here's my issue. I've had the same old bed, a mismatched night stand, and a broken chest of drawers for like 15 years+ years. I'm needing a new mattress and thought this would be a good time to get a new bed.

Right now I have a smallish room and when I move later, I might want to add additional furniture or get a larger bed so I would like to be able to buy more of the matching set. IKEA does this with a few of its lines but is there anywhere else that has something like this? I know I've been looking at MALM for years but I'd want something a little sturdier.

If not, I'm thinking of just getting the mattress along with a basic frame for it.

What's the best way to sell multiple cables on eBay?

I'm doing some cleaning up around the house and found a serial to mini plug cable along with 2 link cables. These would have been purchased in the last '90s, early '00s.

I looked on eBay and they're selling for a decent amount (~$5) so I figured I'd try to get them to a good home.

Would it be best to list them all separately or together? I have no way to test them.

And I'm taking most of the stuff I have to a donation place but I don't think many people would know what these are.

Doing a watch through... Is it just me or are S1-3 the best?

I'm doing a watch through of Law & Order. I remember watching this as a kid on TNT when I was in middle school or jr. high. After that, I was busy with life and work and never really got back into it. This would have been in the late 90s.

When I got to Season 4, it just felt like the vibe changed. I looked through the detectives online and the only one I kind of liked after 3 are Curtis and Fontana. But to be fair, I don't recognize a few of them.

As for the ADAs on Seasons 4 and beyond, I like Kincaid and McCoy.

Maybe it's just a bias and they'll grow on me? I do remember watching later seasons back then so I don't think that has to do with it.

Does this plan make sense?

Ok I have about 150k in my 401k. I'm planning to retire in about 15 years. l was planning to stop investing in the 401k (just keeping the match) and put that money into an IRA.

For now, let's say I'm going to put $500/month into the IRA. At 12% APR, I'm ending up with about $287k. If I just leave the $150k in my 401k and stop contributing, I'll have a little over $1M.

Obviously I'll contribute more to the IRA as my income increase and expenses decrease. But does it make sense to have 2 separate accounts or keep them both together? It looks like both come out the same, assuming the same amount of investments per month and a 12% APR. Or am I missing something?

When do I need a box spring?

I'm looking to buy a bed (probably IKEA or a frame from Denver). Some family are saying I need a box spring but it seems that depends on the type of frame or bed. Or could it also depend on the mattress?

Looking for a bed... would I be able to buy matching furniture next year?

I'm in the market for a bed and mattress. I'd like to buy matching furniture like drawers and night stands later on. Is this possible with Wayfair like IKEA? Some of the models on IKEA have been around for many years. I've never had matching furniture so it would be nice to have that but I can't buy it all right now.

What’s the best way to digitize a lot of photos?

We have several medium size boxes of old pictures from before 2000. I’d like to digitize them.

What’s the best way to do this? Just open Image Capture or Photos and sit there with my Epson all-in-one?

It would be nice if there’s an app so I can put 6-8 on the bed, it scans them all with the correct size, and makes 6-8 files.

Color correcting is a different issue I can deal with later but I’d want something easy for the majority of the pictures then more detailed on the ones we’d like to use.

Where’s the best/easiest place to open an IRA?

I like to think of myself as a simple person. I’m 45 and only had one bank account until a few years ago (opened a CU account).

I have a 401k at work but they match only to 2.5%. I was thinking of investing just to 2.5% and putting the rest into an IRA. I just looked at Vanguard’s list of ETFs and it’s a lot to choose from compared to the 7 at the 401k.

Maybe there’s a list for major firms to hit Dave’s recommendations of growth, growth/income, aggressive, and international?

S3E16 - Conduct Unbecoming

I’m doing a watch through and I’m on S3E16 where a Naval officer was murdered.

Why didn’t the navy pull jurisdiction? I was expecting them to fight saying it’s their people, they’ll deal with it. But here’s Briscoe and Logan doing their thing.

And a side note, IMDB says Jurisdiction should’ve been before this but on Hulu, Mother Love was first.

What do we do with old HDDs and RAM?

I'm doing some cleaning up and came across some older HDDs and RAM. Both were pulled from Macs (HDDs may have been from some PCs) when I upgraded them.

These are probably going to be from 2006-2011 models. I'm sure I can find something to do with the HDDs but what about the RAM? Give them to Goodwill? Pop them up on eBay?

Any suggestions on where to keep a deceased family member's iPhone?

My aunt passed last year. She had an iPhone 8. I'm kind of the tech/nerd guy in the family.

Her brother had taken it home with him and just left it off (she was on my Family plan and I could see location and battery level). I asked if he could bring it to town so I can remove it from my Family plan and make sure her Apple Watch is removed. He did and left it here for now.

But I'm wondering what I should do with it? I skimmed through it. Other than a few hundred pictures and some texts, there's not much in it. I don't mind letting it be out of respect. I had thought about taking it to her old house but since it's vacant, I'd hate for a batter issue to arise and no one be around to deal with that. I downloaded the photos to my Photos library so they're saved. I guess part of me just wants to make sure it gets recycled or whatever. I don't think it'll be useful for anyone at this point.

Can I use a Linksys router as a switch (I think that's the correct term)

My main network is on a Velop mesh system with 1 parent and 2 nodes. I'm doing some cleaning and stuff and found a couple of older Linksys routers. I asked other day about using them as an AP and was told they were too old. But, would I be able to use them just as a switch or something? These Velops only have 1 or 2 ethernet ports on the bottom of them. I'm thinking through rearranging a room and maybe adding a NAS, Apple TV, and ethernet connected printer. If they're too old, I could buy a switch if it isn't too expensive.

These are the ones I have.

  • Linksys WRT54G
  • Linksys WRT54GS2 V1
  • Linksys WRT150N

If I need to get rid of them, should I put them on eBay, take them to Goodwill, or just trash them. I'm thinking if I put them on eBay, whoever buys them will know what they're getting. They don't have an AC adapter.

Is there a place in town to sell sports memorabilia?

I have a couple of sports stuff that I’d like to get rid of. They’re not big name players but a popular team.

Is there somewhere in town that will buy them? I don’t want to put them on eBay or Marketplace. Just want a decent value for them and them to get a good home.

Just sold 2 items and about pay for shipping... what if I'm wrong?

I hadn't sold on eBay for years. Before, I would take the item to USPS, they'd weigh it up and I'd pay for the post. Now that I can get it cheaper through eBay, I'm worried what might happen if I'm a little short?

The dimensions should be good. One box I measured and the other had it printed on the box. For the weights, I added a little bit more, like if it was 14oz I just went up to 1lb. But will the USPS check and if it's off, can I just pay the difference there?

I'm missing an ATM deposit... is this normal?

I made a deposit at an ATM on Sunday at about 4:30pm. Yesterday, it was showing online as pending but today it's just gone all together from the website.

I have the email receipt for this. Never had anything like this happen. Should I be concerned or could it show up tomorrow morning?
