I'm looking to hook up an Apple TV to an older CRT via component. I've come across a lot of converters but want to make sure I buy one that'll work well with my needs. I'd like to set Apple TV to output at 4:3 and I'm guessing 480p (unless there's a better resolution for this).

Also would a certain model Apple TV be best for this? We have 3 HD versions, 2 with the white ring on the remote and 1 without. We recently got a 4K TV so I could buy a new Apple TV and move this one but I'm find for now.

ETA nvm about the outputs, look like they all have HDMI except the first version and that won't work.

I was talking to someone the other day about how loaners from dealerships work. I have a Ford I bought at a Ford dealership and took it in for service. They gave me a loaner. I had to show them my license, insurance, they gave me a brand new Bronco to drive and told me don't go over 1,900 miles on the odometer. I got close so they swapped it for a brand new F-150 XLT.

About 15 years ago, I bought an Accord from Carmax. I had a couple of issues with it shortly after buying it. I'm pretty certain the loaner they gave me was some random car off the lot and they didn't check my insurance or anything. Does that seem normal or am I remembering it incorrectly?

I bought a ESP from Granger about 9 months after I bought my car. I have an email that shows the length and mileage but it’s not clear to me the options I added (rental, lights, keys, etc.).

Is there any way to pull that up? My car’s at Ford for a repair and it’s going on 2.5 weeks. The cynical part of me thinks maybe I don’t have rental coverage and they’re dragging it out to charge me on renting a full size Bronco.

About 3 weeks ago I started hearing a low rumble while driving slow and turning. I looked on here and was directed to TSB 25-2627. I called my local dealership and they asked me to drop it off on 6/10. They didn't give me a loaner and I work out of town so I was a little anxious to get my car back. I called the next day and they said they're waiting on the tech to look at it. I think on the 12th they said it was the approved for the TSB, they have a loaner for me now, and it will take 3 days for the part to get in.

I watched the location on the Ford app and it sat there until today, 6/24 before either being turned on or moved. Since then, I've called a few times to check on the status and it was always they're waiting to service it. I believe once I called on a Thursday or Friday and was told I can't count Saturday because the tech was off and he would be the only one servicing it. I was also given different max mile limits I can put on my loaners, first up to 1k miles, then 1.2, now 1.9k.

Is this a normal way of doing things? I work out of town and the Bronco I was given is full of bugs. I was told I'd need to clean it if it was very dirty. I don't know if this counts or if they want me to try cleaning it. It also gets 15 mpg less than my Bronco Sport so costing me a lot more to drive. So all that loaner stuff is stressing me out.

If all that makes sense, then it is what it is. This is the only dealership in town and the next one is about 35 minutes away. I'd rather stay locally but I wonder if I would've had my car back sooner if I went with another shop.

I dropped my Bronco Sport off at the dealership about 10 days ago for an RDU TSB.

In the app, it looks like the location is in the same spot on their property and says "Vehicle Location 10 days ago". It's still at 43% fuel capacity and 160 miles to empty. Does this mean it hasn't been turned on or moved? Does the "Vehicle Location" update when it's turned on or moved?

It took them several days to look at it, get it approved for the TSB, then another few days to get the part in. I was hoping it was done yesterday but that didn't happen. I didn't get a call today. They gave me a loaner; a full size brand new Bronco Big Bend. I guess it's nice, I have to jump in and out of it, but it makes me worried to drive it, especially in the rainy weather we've had lately.

I want an America250 decal for my car. I know there's the America250 site but is there anywhere else to buy them that might be better quality?

I got an email awhile back about Ford America 250 items but didn't go look for it. Now that I'm thinking of ordering something, I don't see it on the online store. Am I looking in the wrong spot?

I have a 2023 fully stock Big Bend. Stock except for tires... they're Yokohama Geolandar 235/65/17.

The last couple of days, I've noticed there's a low rumble when turning right, full lock (I think that's the term). At first I thought it was someone thumping bass near by but today when I heard it and realized no one was around, I did some test drives in the parking lot and realized it was me.

Any suggestions as to what this could be? Tires rubbing against the felt maybe? I have an extended warranty so I'll probably take it in but I think I'm responsible for the diagnostic cost. I didn't get the recall on the suspension so it's probably not that.

I’m pretty sure I just got a scam call. The guy said AT&T is offering 30% off service due to people leaving for cheaper providers. He said there’s no fee and nothing I have to do.

I said it sounds funny and he hung up.

This is a scam, right? Just want to make sure before I report that number (I know it won’t do much).

I have a couple of 32” TVs. One still mostly works but has some green lines around the edge. The other is toast.

Is there any place to recycle these? I don’t live in Corpus but my small town doesn’t seem to have any place to take them.

I was mowing the lawn and sprayed Cutter all over. Some of it got on my AirPod Pros 2.

Can I wipe them down with 70% alcohol? Can I dunk them? It may have got the case too. Can I just dunk the case in alcohol or wipe that down? The plastic feels a little tacky but it might just be in my head.

I thought their choice of cell phones was really accurate. I remember at one point it was either Stephen or Bree (one of the "not rich" ones) was using either an older or lower level Blackberry. Then later on, I think I saw Evan with an iPhone while others were still on the Blackberry. The last period show I watched pretty much had everyone switch to iPhones around 2007/2008.

I'd like to detect and record whenever vehicles go by. I also have human recognition and human detection turned on. I'd like to get recordings of vehicles and maybe even turn on pets and other motions but I only want to get notified when humans are coming up to the door or walking by the house.

Is this possible? Am I missing a setting? Since this is in the front of the house facing a road, I'd like to record any cars that drive by incase that information is needed later.

I guess I've been saving old birthday cards and things like that for the last 40+ years. I have several shoe boxes of them.

But I'm going through a lot of stuff right now and getting rid of things. Do y'all get rid of these too? How long do you keep them? Do you keep important ones?

Maybe about 15-20 years I went through them and it was nice revisiting some of them, especially from older relatives that have passed. I did get rid of letters and cards from exes and some other generic ones (Happy Birthday from the dry cleaners).

I was doing some cleaning around and found an old 2010 MacBook Pro that I'd like to wipe clean. I can't find the charger for it though.

Can I borrow someone's or buy one cheap to use for a few days or a week or so? There are two users signed in so it might take some time and I might want to swap HDDs or pull the RAM in case I decide to just recycle it. So that's why it might take a few days.

I'm going to buy a new mattress soon and will need a new bed or bed frame. I really would like an IKEA HEMNES but that's kind of expensive along with shipping (I live about 4 hours away from the nearest IKEA). For now, I'd like to just get a basic frame or platform or something.

I'd prefer something that isn't flat to the ground so I can use the under bed area for storage. And I'd need something that doesn't require a box spring.

Any suggestions? Like on Amazon maybe? There are a few at Mattress Firm which would work if I buy my mattress from them. I'm also considering a local mattress place that only sells adjustable frames or frames that require a box spring.
