Inglorious Basterds would be my pick, I watched the movie without knowing what it's about, but I saw basically universal praise for it. It left me throughly unimpressed. Aside from the scene with the French farmer which I admit was very well done, the movie left me questioning what exactly was I watching. I couldn't tell if it wants me to take it seriously (previously mentioned scene), or the contrary (Goebbels crying like a baby when Hitler compliements his movie comes to mind, or his sex scene.... Cartoonish). Hell I couldn't even decide if the movie wants me to sympatise with the Germans or not - for example the protagonists execute a brave German officer in cold blood, kill another soldier deeply concerned about his family, the sniper at the movies end has PTSD.... These do not fit at all in a movie who's main antagonist is a psychopatic SS officer and the ultimate goal is to kill Hitler (and the entire nazi leadership, seems like).

Basically this movie has it's moments and places it shines at but the incredibly inconsistent tone left me feeling confused and made it impossible for me to enjoy the movie.

Honorable mention goes to the Godfather, a movie that was kinda boring to me, so many scenes are just "mafia guys talking about mafia things" and it just doesn't make for a fun viewing, but that opinion is so controversial (and I imagine outright wrong) that I leave it as a fun footnote.

Anyway if anyone made it here I'd love to hear your thoughts, I love talking about movies even tho I didn't see all that many

It's been a while since I read the books so I mostly go by movies, sorry if I forgot something but... The dwarves, where are they? Is Gimli the only one left? We see some accompany him to the fellowship first meeting and then Gimli is the only dwarf we see? Did all other dwarves die in Moria? Or are they somewhere else? What are they doing? Are they doing anything?

I read the hobbit and there are there, think they even hold the mountain at the end? What happened to them?

I discovered a mod to make prospecting less tedious and honestly I love it, I very much like the game's slow, gradual approach, but prospecting was just.... Too slow. I've been wondering if perhaps I'm not missing out on something else. Do you use any mods you like that make the game a bit less of a chore?

I read Starseer's Ruin as my introduction to AoS and ended up with deep hatred for the lizardmen and humanity in AoS

So I think I should like the skaven, do they have any books worth reading?
