Jowett Javelin PB Deluxe (1952). New Zealand.

I have a long history with this beast going back to 2008.Ended up buying it in a package deal in 2020. My late landlord had it first..but the problematic gearbox saw it stand again..after he'd thrown cash at it.

Painting by my Grandpa. Edinburgh. 1923

Albert Lewin. Edinburgh. 1899-1974. He trained as a lace designer from the age of 9.This painting was from his degree show at Edinburgh Art College 1923. He was a pilot in the Royal Flying Corps post WW1...flew a bi plane under the Forth Rail Bridge..and was Lancaster Bomber Command Squadron Leader in WW2. He had five children. He then became an art teacher.I still have a small pile of his original art supplies...and i use the watercolours. Hardly any of his work survives. My cousin has this painting.

Isle of Islay.Highland.

Taken from a family home just above Port Askaig ..thats been around since the early 20thC. The Paps of Jura..this is where George Orwell wrote u/1984..to the left of the image. The Gaelic myth is a Giantess Fenian was using Jura as a stepping stone coming from Northern Ireland..and she tripped on the Pap and fell and broke her neck...her finger marks etched into the side of the mountain.
