Nani is absolutely heartbreaking. I saw her in eval last week and snapped a really quick video of all her puppies piled on her. This weekend she’s in the sick ward with all her babies and she’s definitely become more protective of them with more foot traffic. I tried gaining her trust for probably 10 minutes before I was able to leash her. She walked about 3 kennels down and then pancaked because she was so nervous. She didn’t care about all the barking dogs near her and we walked another scared mama past her and she didn’t even move. I felt like she was way too stressed so I decided to not bring her any further. As soon as I opened her kennel door back up she went straight back to her babies. She’s a great mama and I feel like with some love she’ll learn to trust humans in no time. 🥺

dog was in the kennel and when i leashed her she began to thrash but as i let her calm down she walked out slowly out the
kenenl and tried to walk towards other kennels and due to her kennel being dirty i placed the pups in the bin while i
cleaned and had her tied up to the wall and since i placed the bin next to her she lay down near the bin and then as i
placed the pups back she whined pulled towards them and through out the day has been layign down with her pups and
being vocal towards citizens and employees walk through the row.

when I approached the kennel she was in the back of the kennel with a tensed boyd and whale eyes with her puppies all
on top of her. I leashed her and she thrashed and ddin't want to walk, i baby talked her and got her to walk into the next
clean kennel. she allowed me to remove the leash and she sniffed my hand

nani greets me at the kennel door with all of her puppies dogpiling on her while she laid there quietly. She let me leash her
however only took a few steps before she started to thrash. I put her into the clean kennel next to hers and put her puppies
in with her. Inside her kennel she can be seen with dilated eyes laying quietly on her blanket.

nani greeted me at the front of the kennel with a tensed body, I baby talk her and give her treats to move her and her
puppies over to the next kennel because she thrashes on the leash. I gave her a lot of treats and she let me remove the
leash.

Very timid and skittish. Is avoidant while being leashed and flinchy. Once leashed, she continues to be skittish on leash, zig
zagging often while walking and needs lots of redirection.

08/09/26 16:04 While walking through the row, Nani's kennel was covered on both sides and she was deep alarm barking,
tail tucked and ears back from the far side of the kennel, ran to the other side once I came around the other side spot
cleaning.

Approaching kennel, Nani retreated to the other side of the kennel and vocalized with a tucked tail, whale eyes and tense
body. Passing kennel, she was resting on her bed with her puppies.

It’s the LAST CALL for JADE, now under kill command!

This handsome boy was found as a stray and was kept one month before being surrendered by his finder because he was moving.

He is curious, cuddly, bouncy, vocal, affectionate, and food-motivated.

He earned the BEST possible behavior rating, is tolerant with strangers, playful with kids, and is familiar dogs.

The poor boy is simply overwhelmed in the shelter environment and just needs a safe space to decompress!

Jade (Animal ID #260825) was placed on the NYCACC “To Be Killed” (TBK) euthanasia list primarily due to behavior deterioration caused by the stress of the shelter environment.

While he is noted to be very playful, affectionate, and sweet in calm settings, the loud and restrictive facility caused his anxiety to spike.

According to the shelter's public tracking logs, his placement on the urgent list is due to:

Escalating Arousal: High stress in his kennel caused him to become over-stimulated and highly anxious.

Leash Biting: He began aggressively biting his leash during walks as a frustrated reaction to being confined.

That’s how long Lobo had his family.
And then, after an entire lifetime with the people he knew and loved, they surrendered him to a high k*ll shelter.

Now Lobo #A5789645 is 14 years old, sad, alone, and visibly heartbroken. He is struggling in the shelter environment, and watching a senior dog like him deteriorate in this way is devastating.

He spends his last days on a concrete kennel floor, lying in his own urine and feces.

A 14-year-old senior German Shepherd.

He should be sleeping on a soft bed. He should be surrounded by love. He should be spending his final years feeling safe and cherished.

Instead, he lost his family and found himself in a shelter.

We don’t know how much time Lobo has left. But we do know that he deserves for whatever time he has remaining to be filled with dignity, comfort, and love.

Ricky and Lucy are a pair of bonded, neutered shepherd mixes. They both are approximately 8 years. Ricky and Lucy are fully vaccinated with a calm, friendly personality. They walk well on their leashes.

Unfortunately, they are in danger of euthanasia at the Apple Valley Animal Shelter in Apple Valley, California. The shelter does not have a scheduled euthanasia date. So they can be destroyed at any time.

Nena is a friendly, calm girl that has lived with a family for two years.Unfortunately, she is medically sensitive due to a tail tumor. She I'll most likely need the tail amputated.

Her Facebook post says that she is eligible for rescue by A New Hope Rescue Partner. I'm not sure what that means since I don't work at the shelter. The post also says that her adoption may qualify for a $1000 stipend.
