[Fischer] Sources say that the Clippers, whether or not their talks with the Raptors progress all the way to a completed deal, have not pursued Boston's Jaylen Brown this offseason. The sources added that the Clippers aren't planning to make a run at the Celtics' MVP candidate.

[Charania]Those talks are continuing, they're serious between the Clippers and the Raptors...all signs point to these two sides being motivated and..Kawhi Leonard's tenure is nearing it's end in Los Angeles. He has not been given any indication that the Clippers want to give him a contract extension

[Haynes] "I think it’s very unlikely that Kawhi Leonard returns to the Los Angeles Clippers. I think it’s a situation where it’ll be hard to put the toothpaste back in the tube."

[Windhorst] The Clippers will have “serious demands” from the Raptors for Leonard. Leonard’s request to land in Toronto creates an exclusive negotiation, but his willingness to sign an extension and eliminate concerns about him being a rental will help LA secure an “extra piece or two” in a trade.

[Stein] It's believed that the Clippers, furthermore, would have interest in Toronto's offer because adding Ingram — who earned All-Star status last season — should be able to help keep LA sufficiently competitive in the West

full quote cause it doesn't fit in the title:

> It's believed that the Clippers, furthermore, would have interest in Toronto's offer because adding Ingram — who earned All-Star status last season — should be able to help keep LA sufficiently competitive in the West as it gradually shifts into a youth movement that features the likes of recently acquired Darius Garland and No. 5 overall pick Keaton Wagler. The Clippers have never missed the playoffs in Steve Ballmer's 12 seasons of ownership.

[Stein & Fischer] League sources say that Marcus Smart, who is expected to draw interest from Houston and possibly other teams in free agency, is very much giving consideration to declining his $5.4 million player option for next season with the Lakers.

The Rockets do, however, loom as a possible free agent destination for another one of Udoka's former players in Boston: Marcus Smart.

League sources say that Smart, who is expected to draw interest from Houston and possibly other teams in free agency, is very much giving consideration to declining his $5.4 million player option for next season with the Lakers before Monday's deadline to do so and then proceed to the open market.

The Rockets, sources say, are also exploring the trade market for avenues to move on from veteran swingman Dorian Finney-Smith and his contract, which has three more seasons to run at $13.3 million each but is not guaranteed in the final two seasons.

Mathurin probably exploring FA market on July 1st. Drafting Wagler was a key sign. Underrated player not even close to his ceiling

The drafting of Wagler by the Clippers probably means they are going to hold their ground on Mathurin.... which could make him walk. Mathurin lost his 3 in the last 25 games of the season so the Clippers didn't really get his full potential ( career 36.8% shooter) but if he walks, another team may just give him 2, 3 Million above MLE and he will still be making 18 -20 million a year which is still a bargain for a career 17ppg a game guy who just turned 24.... Math is a realy dawg and plays with a chip but he has been inconsistent... that's true.. but there are 2 teams Mathurin historically plays really well against. OKC and the KNICKS. And I know a few teams that could use a scoring wing or microwave type 6th man to get your 20 points on any given night...

Wolves

Pistons

Heat

Lakers

Denver

Boston (if they lose Brown)
In that order...
Do you think the Clippers figure this out and keep him in a win-win deal? Or those one those teams make sense for him in the 20 Mil range?

[Scotto] The Kings are expected to waive DeMar DeRozan if they cannot find a trade partner with the Clippers being the frontrunner to sign him.

>“In the midst of a rebuild and over the first apron, barring an unexpected trade, the Sacramento Kings are expected to waive-and-stretch forward DeMar DeRozan, HoopsHype has learned. DeRozan’s $25.74 million expiring contract is only guaranteed for $10 million, which can be stretched over the next three seasons. Should DeRozan enter free agency as expected, the Los Angeles Clippers are expected to have interest in the California native, HoopsHype has learned.”

[Vecenie] Multiple league sources have speculated that if the Clippers look to trade down, don’t be surprised to see them get another pick in this year’s draft — just in case the NBA’s investigation into the Aspiration scandal results in the loss of future picks.

The Clippers have also had discussions about trading down, although sources indicate that they do seem set on making an early draft selection this year. Multiple league sources have speculated that if the Clippers look to trade down, don’t be surprised to see them get another pick in this year’s draft — just in case the NBA’s investigation into the Aspiration scandal results in the loss of future picks. If they do trade the pick, I’ve heard Wagler the most out of the players that other teams would be chasing. If the Clippers were to move down, Brayden Burries would be a potential fit.

Part of trying to figure out what happens on draft night is being an investigator and piecing together all of the different intel that you get. The deal that makes the most logical sense, to me at least, is the Hawks moving up from No. 8 to No. 5, using pick No. 23 and maybe some other small asset. The Clippers want to make an early pick, and sources indicate that they have interest in Brayden Burries. Sources for other teams have also connected the Hawks as a team that likes Wagler. Both these teams have also been noted by sources to be exploring deals moving in these respective directions. This is speculative and not based on any specific reporting, but it tracks as a sensible outcome.

Does this mean the Nets think the Clippers are taking Mikel Brown?

[Sidery] The Kings covet Darius Acuff Jr., and they could look to move up from No. 7 overall to secure him. With Darius Garland cemented as the Clippers’ point guard, they stand out as a logical trade partner at No. 5. LA would net future draft capital from Sacramento in this scenario.
