Allegory/Theory + 2001 (1968)

Anyone else consider the backrooms "complex" as a kind of allegory to modern generative AI? The way it makes a facsimile of anything, while not quite being the real thing.

This then makes me think of the ending scene of 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), where the room Bowman finds himself in has furniture and features of a room, though the things themselves are somewhat "off." (It's been awhile since I watched 2001 so I'm sure someone else can clarify that better than I can).
