
An American in Toronto
I was making American Trilogies tonight because it's the 4th, and had a large dinner so i wanted to work some fernet in there and realized it was reminiscent of a Toronto, hence the name.
An American in Toronto:
1oz Lairds Bonded in Bond Apple Brandy
1oz Rye (bonded in bond)
0.25 brown sugar syrup (highly recommend Jeffrey Morganthaler's excellent recipe, which was recommended many times on this sub)
3 dashes orange bitters
1 barspoon Fernet Leopold (can sub 0.25oz fernet branca)
Stir over ice and strain into a chilled glass; garnish with an orange peel.
