imagine serving in parliament for two terms, contributing little to nothing, then walking away with a pension worth 80% of your highest salary during these terms for the rest of your life..

if ur salary was 350,000 DZD a month, u could retire on around 280,000 DZD every month..

meanwhile, there are teachers, nurses, factory workers, engineers, police officers, soldiers, and countless other public servants who spend 30 or 40 years working, paying taxes and actually keeping the country running only to retire with pensions of 30,000 or 40,000 DZD a month..

TELL ME!! HOW IS THAT JUSTICE ???

what's even more frustrating is that many MPs are appointed or elected despite showing little understanding of legislation, constitutional law, or public finance.. they rarely challenge the government, rarely provide meaningful oversight, and the debates on "la loi des Finances" often feel like a formality rather than genuine scrutiny.....

so what exactly are taxpayers paying for?

why should someone who spends decades serving society receive a tiny pension, while someone who occupies a parliamentary seat for a short period enjoys a privileged retirement for life?

this isn't about envy.. it's about fairness, accountability and respect for the ppl who actually build and serve the country

if parliament is meant to represent the ppl, then its members shouldn't be treated as a privileged class above the very citizens they are supposed to serve.

and let's not forget "the Council of the Nation", another institution that consumes millions in public money while contributing little that ordinary citizens can actually see.

would any other player get away with stepping on another player's leg like that, or is there no red card because it's Messi?
