Need Suggestions for AM(25M here)

Hi Ladies,

I'm 25M from Hyderabad and I work in IT.

Coming to context, I come from a middle class orthodox family. Never been into any relationships and said no to few girls, just to focus on my dream career and I'm in a good situation, earning 6 figures a month now(hidden to parents).

So I did notice people are into relationships, get intimate, breakups, cheating, everything about relationships through college, social life and on the internet.

So I never dared to enter relationships due to my career and family situations. Recently my parents brought up the topic to get married( Strictly Arranged Marriage).

I'm not against marriage, I am able to manage things even now, but I have few traits to be there for me or for a woman, please don't judge me, here they are :

  1. She must be working(not expecting any salary range)

- Reason, she will be financially disciplined how earning is hard

  1. I need to populate some savings to avoid loans or heavy budget marriage.

  2. As I've hidden salary from everyone, few women need high earning males, definitely i need to talk in setup.

  3. I need calm, proactive and one who can be comfortable with me.( That will be after getting to know each other).

This question is for women who can give me suggestions that

  1. my requirements are valid ones, where I can find a partner easily?

  2. Am i overthinking as being single for long 25 years?

  3. Is this the right age or I need to take 2 to 3 more years getting to know people, build good life and more savings?

From walking 5km daily to save ₹50 to earning ₹1L+ per month at 25

Growing up, my family went through financial struggles due to loans and land disputes. During diploma and engineering, I used to skip snacks, save every rupee, and sometimes walk long distances just to avoid spending money.

After graduation, I had no job, health issues, and a lot of self-doubt around me. Applied to hundreds (probably thousands) of jobs, got rejected many times, but eventually got into a job.

Started my career at ₹5 LPA in 2023.

Today, at 25 years old, I'm earning (~₹1.06L/month in hand), investing ₹30k/month in mutual funds, building an emergency fund, and supporting my family.

Still living simply. Still cooking my own food. Still going to the gym every morning.

Not a huge flex compared to many here, but for the guy who once walked 5km daily to save ₹50, this feels like a win. 💪

Current goals:

₹20 LPA next

Six-pack abs

Financial freedom before 35

Need advices on Learning AI stuff, especially from current AI engineers.

Hey guys, I'm working as an SWE (Appian developer) with around 3YOE.

I've started with 4.5lpa initially and moved to 5.5lpa after 1.5yrs hike. After 2 years I've started searching for offers, due to market breakdown i rarely got offers, initially got an offer from big4 (9lpa), used counters and I'm currently working with 14.5lpa(14lpa fixed). My goal is to switch next year at 3.5-4YOE, with atleast 20LPA.

I know Appian(low code platform) is becoming expensive day by day and projects are minimal. I'm thinking to move towards AI, our current company already has few AI developers whom i made friends.

This company gives consent to employees to learn AI related stuff more, so I've been going through chatgpt it's giving me roadmap, but my question is

What could be the correct roadmap I can follow, I need suggestions especially from current AI engineers(generative/ Agentic/ Prompt AI engineers).

I'm a very fast learner and has basic understanding of all the stuff like python, llms, prompts etc. I'm expecting very good responses here, thanks for commenting

Am i thinking right way ?

I'm 25M, from Warangal, working as SWE at Hyderabad, So last month oka post pettanu, parents and sister insisting me to get married, however aa plans ni atleast 1-2 yrs ki postpone chesanu.

Coming to context, I don't have any responsibilities towards parents, goals aithe unnayi, but I can reach in some timeline, inkoti my parents only know that I'm earning 60% of my current salary, rest are secretly save/invest chestunna.

I don't have problem/difficulties in getting married, I know it's too early marriage ante, chala karchu untadi, and na age ki ammaylu just passed out or early career vallu vastaru(they have dreams to achieve big).

But na thinking entante, will I able to afford to start a family, earning 1lpm+ alone, don't think so, future lo kastam kavachu, atleast thanu konchem aina earning unte better. Elago nak inka time undi, my salary will be increased by atleast 30% more.

Many people suggested, ipat nundi start cheste ee courtships valla est ga 1-2 years ellipothay, what if one matches and vallani ekva rojulu hold lo petalem ga.

I'm still building career and I know I can do better, na skills ki chala demand undi, so no setbacks. Mekemanpistundi, shall I start looking for matches?I cannot reach out to girls as I never been into relationships. Chasing girls are not my cup of tea.

Evaraina recently married/matched/engaged or mature minded guys can help me out, please dont judge endukante I need to take suggestions from all, but my decision depends on majority including mine.

Is it wrong that I don't tell my parents my actual salary?

I'm in my mid-20s, working in IT, and my parents don't know my actual salary. They think I earn quite a bit less than I actually do.

The reason is simple. If they know I'm earning well, I know there'll be more expectations to spend. It won't be anything bad, but things like helping relatives financially, buying assets like land, house etc

Instead, I'm trying to build an emergency fund, invest through SIPs, and save for my future. I want to buy a house someday, maybe a car, and also be financially stable before I get married. My thinking is that if I build wealth now, I'll be in a much stronger position to support my parents later.

I still help them whenever they need money, so it's not like I'm refusing to contribute. I just don't feel comfortable sharing my exact income.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm being practical or just dishonest.

Has anyone else done this? Did you eventually tell your parents your real salary, or do you think it's okay to keep it private?

Edit: Thanks for all the responses, got huge support from everyone, Thanking everyone :)

Endukandi manaki evanni, baane unnam ga

Context entante, I'm 25M, working as a software engineer in hyderabad Very introverted guy, entha ante, oka ammayi vachi natho interested ga matladina, kanisam tirgi chudanu or i dont care, okavela edana work undi message CHESI, conversation build cheste, I'll end it there. Career focussed valla Ammaylaki no chepna clg days lo(i look very average guy).

First time filing ITR. Will I have to pay any tax? (New regime, salaried employee)

Hi everyone,

This is my first time filing an ITR, and I'm doing it myself through the Income Tax portal.

My details:

FY: 2025–26 (AY: 2026–27)

Salaried employee

Gross salary as per Form 16: ₹6,16,842

New tax regime

Standard deduction already considered by employer

Employer deducted ₹0 TDS

AIS shows only around ₹586 savings bank interest and a ₹44 entry from Amazon under Section 194C.

No mutual funds, stocks, crypto, business income, rental income, or foreign income during FY 2025–26.

From 1 April 2026, I switched jobs and my package became ₹14 LPA, but I understand that's for the next financial year and not this ITR.

Based on this, should I expect to pay any tax while filing, or should the tax liability still be zero? Is there anything I should watch out for before submitting my first ITR?

Thanks in advance!

Oka pedha vidyarthi story

So I'm varun, from Warangal. Na chinnapati nundi dream, I want to be a software engineer, came from lower middle class family, but due to my father's wish, I had to take mech in diploma, internship chesa mumbai lo. Diploma chese time lo Hyderabad lo hostel lo undevadni.

My family was in a situation that , we used to love in 6X6 single room, chala ibbandi ayyedi, but my parents used to treat me good even though they are struggling.

Nak ma family situation telsu kabatti, I used to save a lot of money that my dad sent. Etlante, used to stay at hostel, my friends used to eat out evenings and weekends, but nen kadupu mardchukunedi & inka ekva akali aithe I used to drink water.

Then corona hit, I joined btech, CSE in a tier 3 college in warangal. Somehow anni kastalu, 1 by 1 are getting solved as I'm adulting, then ive passed out with few offers, not joined any of it because I've done and internship that led to revoke all offers

Job ledu btech aipoindi, recession aitundi, then I saw a job Postings in one of the company my friend working and I've applied, completed internship and got full time job, even In recession. First 6 months was hecticly struggled, then started happy life, rewards, recognitions, my first salary was 32k(4.5lpa), then after 1.5yr it's 41k 5.67lpa. then after 2.5 years, nenu shift kotta.

This is the most valued part. I hit 14lpa as a good offer(150% increase). My in-hand salary is now 1.06lpm & I'm very happy that I'm saving 80% of my salary. My life is very good now, antha snkunnatte jargutunnay ☺️

I hid my salary with my parents because vallaki nen emanna pedhaga achieve cheyalani undi, I'll get 20lpa next year at around 4yoe. Kotti chupetti, i want to make them happy.

I donno where to share, but idi na chinna story. Please share your thoughts.

Edit - Thanks for 100 upvotes & 12k+ views & tons of love received ❤️.

Rant: Finding something genuine here feels almost impossible

Frankly speaking, I've posted in multiple dating and relationship subreddits hoping to find a compatible partner. I wasn't expecting instant success, but I was hoping for at least a few genuine conversations.

I received around 20 DMs. Unfortunately, most conversations followed the same pattern. Some people would chat for a day and disappear the next. Others stayed for two or three days before ghosting without any explanation. A few would reply only when I initiated, and once I stopped, the conversation simply ended.

Almost everyone said they were looking for a serious relationship, but very few seemed willing to put in the effort to actually get to know another person.

I also realize that mentioning my salary in my posts may have attracted some people for reasons other than genuine compatibility. That's on me, and I probably won't include it again.

What disappointed me the most wasn't the ghosting itself—people lose interest, and that's okay. It was the lack of curiosity. Hardly anyone asked about my life in depth, my values, my interests, or what kind of person I am. Most conversations never went beyond surface-level texting.

I'm not trying to convince anyone to like me or force a connection. I simply believe that if two people are genuinely interested, both should make an effort to know each other.

Maybe I've just been unlucky, but so far this experience has made me question how many people here are actually looking for a meaningful relationship versus simply passing time or seeking temporary attention.

Has anyone else had a similar experience, or am I expecting too much?
