How likely is it for a 9 to feel kinda like an 8 internally but struggle to actually act like that in real life?

Like finding it pretty emotionally/intellectually easy to understand the 8’s perspective, but not really acting like one because you either think acting that way is too extreme for the situation or because you feel like you’re too hesitant to a fault and won’t do what needs to be done?

And if so, would it be possible/likely for 9w1s to feel this way too or not really?

Or does that sound like a sign that you might not be a 9?

Do y’all ever feel stifled by or too devoted to your standards to a fault, or like they are necessary so there is no such thing as them being stifling or too much?

Or something else?

Wondering what the internal POV is from 1s since external descriptions tend to describe this as sometimes too much, but I wonder if 1s would agree with that judgment

Types likely to show the negative parts of themselves as a preemptive measure/chase people away/filter out people they wouldn’t vibe with anyway?

Like showing the worst parts of your personality or showing your least socially acceptable opinions or traits so that people who wouldn’t like you in the first place don’t get close to you or are scared off? Or making sure that someone you’re already close to actually knows what they’re getting into and isn’t close to you on false pretenses?

Or would the answer change based on the motivation or how hard they commit to doing this (like whether it’s constant or ambivalent) or some other factor?

Like would it matter if you do this because you know you tend to project a fake image so then now you’re trying to correct for that because you don’t want other people getting close to the fake image and then leaving later on after you’ve gotten more attached or you thought they actually liked you for who you are, vs you act how you act, and if it scares off people, then too bad, their loss, you’ll be unpalatable to them regardless?

Or is this not especially indicative of type?

Movie about a cat that causes the main character a lot of trouble and then ultimately dies by falling down an elevator shaft?

Not even sure what the main character was like at all or what the plot was, but the main character was trying to do something, but there was a cat that would get in the way. Perhaps the cat was an accomplice for someone else, but I don’t remember if that was the case. Anyway, somehow the main character either tricks the cat or cuts the elevator and the elevator falls down and the cat falls down with the elevator too and dies, which is the end of the cat’s scheming. Probably was live action, but I don’t remember for sure

Are there any common errors for speakers/learners of your conlang?

In my conlang, there is a dialect that sometimes pronounces s or ʃ as voiced or partially voiced, and so sometimes people misspell words spelled with s or ʃ with a z or ʒ. And then there could be overcorrection as well where people try to speak the “proper” way and end up pronouncing some words that are actually pronounced as z or ʒ as s or ʃ

Or another dialect tends to do vowel epenthesis for words with consonant clusters, and then when spelling, they could insert an unnecessary u inside consonant clusters since that’s how they pronounce it

How likely/possible is it for an unhealthy 8 to insist that a choice between a rock and a hard place was fully their choice because to admit otherwise would be to admit that they were powerless or coerced?

Like say their external circumstances forced them into a situation where all options were bad or they really had no good choice

But for example finding it very psychologically threatening if someone else insists they actually had no/little choice, since that would imply they had little autonomy over the choice they made, that they are actually extremely vulnerable and these situations can happen to them, etc.

Or for example also preferring to frame themselves as being someone who voluntarily chooses one way or another even if the choice was limited, rather than acknowledging that they have little control and how their sense of autonomy is only fully possible when their circumstances aren’t so constrained

Does this sound like it could be 8 or not really?

Btw, just to clarify, I do mean circumstances where the person can’t do much to better the situation besides accept either to rock or the hard place. Since I know 8s in general tend not to be passive

Can one Fi dom type another Fi dom as a Ti dom because they see the other Fi dom’s values as clashing with theirs and “cold”/“too logical”/not passionate enough”?

Like for instance one Fi dom feels very passionate about something and values pursuing it no matter what, while the other Fi dom prefers to be more chill and not devoting their whole life to this one thing, also motivated by them valuing living their life in a more chill and less stressed way, or they feel opposed to living in such an all-or-nothing way

Like for instance the first Fi dom might feel they need to keep pursuing an unlikely relationship because giving up would mean they don’t care. Whereas the second believes that worth should come from yourself and chasing validation that is unlikely to happen is foolish and disrespectful to the other person and to yourself

But the first Fi dom sees the second Fi dom as detached, maybe even too logical/cold, not passionate enough, ignoring what their heart wants in favor of focusing on what’s possible/logically correct, and so types the other Fi dom as Ti dom

How likely/possible is this to happen? Or do you think it’s more likely that the second person actually is Ti dom? Or is there not enough information to figure this out? If there isn’t enough information, what information would make it easier to determine what type these people are?

How to romanize when you have k, aspirated k, and voiceless velar fricative in your phonology?

I often see both aspirated k (kʰ) and the voiceless velar fricative (x) romanized as “kh,” but if I have both, are there any other ways to romanize one? I can’t use “k” since I already have k as a distinct consonant. And I would also prefer not to use “x,” but I understand if that’s the only reasonable option. I am considering having some romanized in the same way, but I would prefer not to so that I can tell which consonant in the original script I’m actually using through the romanization

How likely is it for your body to feminize significantly in your 20s if you don’t go on T?

Like if a person in their 20s still stays questioning this and/or putting off transition for several years for practical reasons, can their body become even more feminine during this period? How likely is it for stuff like breasts and hips to become even more prominent?

Because I’ve heard some people talking about how the body can continue to change well into adulthood, but how common is this generally? Does it happen to most people and are the effects usually dramatic?

Is it possible/likely for 9s and 1s to envy 8s for these reasons?

9 because 8s generally just do things that the 9 hesitates to do out of fear of rocking the boat, and the 9 might wish they could be this much of an active participant in their life and they might feel that it would do them some good if they could be more like an 8

1 because 8s can be less held back by the need to be good and so could be more likely to accomplish what they want by any means instead of being held back so much by principle

Do these sound plausible/likely or not? Trying to figure out if this thing I came up with in my head actually holds up or not

And could this work in the opposite direction or with other types? Have any of you noticed personally or through observation about certain types tending to envy other types because of certain traits that other type has?

Any book recommendations for a fan of science fiction who grew up in the 70s?

I am in my mid/late 60s. I was an avid science fiction reader as a child and teenager during the 70s. I particularly liked books such as Dune, Foundation, On the Beach, Earth Abides, A Canticle for Leibowitz, and The Road. I majored in electrical engineering in college and I worked in computer design. Do you have any book recommendations for me based on the books that I like?
