I think they were touted as more healthy so my strict parents allowed them - not sure why that was though. Maybe they had added vitamins or were sugar free?

These were really popular throughout the 70s-80s. Thread was stretched across little pins usually against a black velvet background I think.

Growing up, did anyone else’s parents have really strict rules about random stuff?

My Mum wouldn’t let us watch Grange Hill because it was a “bad influence”. We did not live in a nicer area, nor did we go to a nice school lol.
