If I got cut off at 100 qs and didn’t have a bunch of hard ones in a row is that a bad sign ahh

I just took my exam and I had questions all over the place literally every single subject it wasn’t just like 10-15 questions is a row of one subject getting harder I can’t tell if that’s a bad sign

How long can you suction from a patient mouth both adults and children? I haven’t got a solid answer for NREMT?

My textbook says 15 adults and 10 kids. But I’ve been told for both it’s 10 from paramedics teaching near me so I have no clue at this point what to answer for the test if I get asked this. Like it seems like there’s not a solid answer it’s just different whoever you ask

For those who used pocket prep and took the test recently how similar were the two?

I plan to schedule my test hopefully for the next 3-4 days. My average on pocket prep is 75% with 1100 question answered. I just took one of the mock exams on pocket prep and scored a 67% so that’s kinda discouraging. It’s weird I feel decently confident like it’s not really terribly hard. I just still don’t know certain terms where I feel like I see it for the first time while answering a question lol. Most of the quizzes on pocket prep I’m getting anywhere from 70-90 percent

Also the ones where it’s like pick the 3 out of 5/6 that resemble symptoms of ect trip me up as well. I’ll get two right then get the last one mixed up

Can long term neck spasms / back pain cause tightness pain in my arm?

25 male

I have been having neck/back pain since November. I had a MRI in February which said I had neck spasms. More recently been getting left arm pain which I believe to be from this neck pain going on, kinda feels like a tightness feeling.

I have done PT, tried different medications, deep tissue massage nothing has worked which is frustrating. Could this left arm pain / radiation be caused from my neck spasms going into my arms?

Every lab has been fine of mine in the last 6 months.

Even had a full body MRI in march after my neck mri

No jaw/face pain, not really any chest pain. When I take a breath in I have no pain as well.

It’s just the constant neck/back pain which is now bother my arm as well

I’m seeing my PCP again tomorrow to let him know the 2nd PT didn’t work and now the arm pain

Edit I also notice I would say it’s definitely more painful around my chest when push my arm backwards and raise my shoulder out. ( I don’t have pain any other time regarding my chest at rest, running around ect

Anyone have any good study strategies to nail down certain terms?

I just completed my accelerated 6 week course. I was getting 60-70s on pocket prep during the first 4 weeks. The last two weeks I’ve been getting mostly 70-90s on my testing my average is now is a 76 overall. The information isn’t terribly hard I just find some terms (haven’t even seen before it seems lol) my biggest issue seems to be the questions where it says select the 3 of 6 that resemble symptoms etc.

Should I just keep grinding away at questions and maybe make a Quizlet on certain terms I don’t know? I kinda wanna just test within the next week.

What happens if you fail 1 or 2 stations of the psychomotor exam?

Curious because I really don’t know? If there are 5 stations and you fail let’s say 1 or 2? Can you still pass or is it done. If this is a fail and you would have to come and repeat do you need to do every station again or only the ones you failed?

Does anyone in here actually enjoy this career and path?

Whenever there’s a post should I go down the path of medicine 75-80 percent of the comments always say “no” “absolutely not” why is this?

Lack of respect?

Are the hours during residency and med school that bad?

Time commitment not worth it?

Changing of the medical field not what it used to be?

What are some positives /happy times during this process experience? Would people have rather gone down a PA/NP or crna type path instead?

Hello age 25 here. I had some events evolving the ER quite a few times 3-5 years ago. Long story short I probably have around 3-5k worth of medical bills total? Mostly in the same hospital , some in a different. Nothing has happened so far i don’t even think my credit has been impacted.

Anyway. I would probably wanna try and clear this up and get this resolved. Some people have told me I can call the collection agency and offer to pay 20-30 % and call it as “full” and settled. What are the odds they would let this happened if I called?

Hello Male age 25. So since November I started to develop middle/upper back pain with pain in the back of my neck. This has been intense for almost 6 months now don’t know what to do.

Symptoms

-intense back pain

-back neck pain

-sometimes I feel more tired than usually ( fatigue)

-sometimes stomach pain? Not much though

November

Did PT- did nothing

Multiple blood test , pancreatic elatase one of them all fine.

December

Saw pain management, had a neck mri that was clear in January.

February

Did PT again didn’t really do anything.

I also did a whole body mri with Prevuno that was clear( I know there’s mixed reviews)

Summary

so essentially this pain is not stop back/neck pain that is non stop. I’ve gone to two PTs, seen my PCP numerous times, seen pain management, massage deep tissue nothing has worked. At this point I’m scared I have some type of cancer, I had some ct scans back 4-7 years ago so that’s always in my head this could be causing issues.

Past medical history

-heart surgery at 1

-blood clots age 21 (had my first rib removed)

Could this be an issue from nerve damage from then? The surgery was back in 2022? But then again I didn’t have pain for a long time until my back and neck pain randomly showed up in November so not sure if it’s related. Who should I even see at this point? The last person I saw was pain management about a month ago they wanted me to do quarter zone shots really don’t wanna do that.

Would my full body MRI in February have picked up any cancer?

Hello me and girlfriend moving into a place soon and have always wanted a golden. We ideally would get one 3-4 months into the new place. Some things we consider when looking for a spot.

-pet friendly

-1st floor so we don’t bother people below us

-one neighbor on our wall instead of two.

What challenges should we be expected to face in an apartment? Is there anything major or nothing really? Exercise won’t be a issue lol I will definitely have this puppy moving outside

Hello was wondering advice on this. I probably have around 3-5k worth of medical debt in multiple hospitals total. Most is in collections now 3-4 years old. What’s the best way to go about this? Someone told me I can try and asking them if I can pay 30% of the total and we can settle that? Would that work

At this point I would probably contact collections right?
