no art history, does this seem viable?

does it seem possible to learn after effects, blender, touch designer, and resolume at the same time as somebody who doesn’t have experience in art? I was thinking of doing 5-6 days a week of 2 at a time. Example schedule:
Day 1: 1 hour blender 1 hour TD
Day 2: 1 hour TD 1 hour AE
Day 3: 1 hour AE 1 hour resolume
Day 4: 1 hour resolume 1 hour blender
Day 5: 1 hour blender 1 hour TD
Day 6/7: rest

I can do more than an hour some or even most days of course but this is a bare minimum schedule

is using a silhouette of someone dancing copyright?

silly question, but if I wanted to take a video I found on YouTube of someone dancing, take their silhouette and use it for my own work, is that copyright or is it legal?

Good for Blender/Touchdesigner/Resolume?

looking at the Lenovo legion pro 5, AMD Ryzen 7, GeForce RTX 5060 8 Gb, 32 Gb RAM. It’s about $1420 with a Memorial Day sale. I need the laptop for Touch Designer and Resolume, but being able to use blender would be great.

Problem is, I am also contemplating upgrading the GPU on my PC which I can use for Blender because it is pretty bad, so all around it’s a lot of money (about 500 for a new GPU) I’m unsure whether I should buy a cheaper laptop (as long as it can run touch designer and Resolume well) or go with this one and it would be enough for me to not upgrade my PC for some time?

how can I optimize my computer for blender, it isn’t working well!

My PC cannot handle blender well, what is the issue?

as seen in the attached folder, my pc isn’t great at handling blender. when I try to render an animation, it craps out at frame 32. when I try to play my simple particle system in solid mode in the viewport, the physics go awry because my computer is lagging. the stats video is from when I play the animation in solid mode in the viewport.

I am unsure what the issue is with my computer and don’t know much about them.

RAM: 16 GB
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 , 6GB
CPU: intel core i7-10700F
PSU: 600W, can only support up to a NVIDIA GeForce 2070 GPU

the PC is from digital storm, 2021

Please help me decide on an affordable GPU for blender!

my budget is around maybe 350, but I am willing to push it if I can do pay and 4 and there would be a drastic difference. I want to buy a used GPU so that I can model in blender. I currently have a NVIDA GeForce 1660 which isn’t working very well at all, I don’t fully understand it but when I did the Furmark 8Gb test, it started to lag a lot. I was thinking maybe the NVIDIA GeForce 3070?

am I too stupid to learn blender?

a beginner here, feeling discouraged. I feel like it has been difficult for me to solve problems without finding it in some tutorial or asking people on Reddit. I don’t know why but I can’t even render a particle system without my computer crapping out and I’m too stupid to figure out how to fix it. I see people who have been using blender only a month and already make such cool things but I feel like I’m too stupid should I give up? I don’t feel like my mind is innovative enough to come up with solutions. I’ve just been watching tutorials and applying them to my own objects. It’s hard to even understand what people are talking about in this sub, there’s so much lingo.

Is my GPU bad for blender?

I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 and I am struggling to animate basic things on blender such as particle systems. Is this because my GPU isn’t good? Should I buy a used NVIDIA GeForce 3060 instead?

why won’t my cycles animation play/why my cycles animation blurry?

I have an animation of a syringe with bubbles in the liquid, but for some reason it is very blurry when rendered. I have tried decreasing max samples, changing the demolished to OptiX, denoising, simplifying, changing to GPU compute, enabling camera culling. I am a beginner and have no idea of how to fix this.

I have a digital storm PC with 16.0 GB RAM, 7.65 GB available physical memory, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660.

When I render it , it is very blurry with a bunch of particles and it won’t even go all the way through. It just saved a 0 second video of an image to my files.

I don’t know much about computers or blender so please provide me with simple responses/where to find things!

how would I learn to make something like this?

I am a beginner and would like to achieve this effect on photoshop or a similar application, I have a MacBook. I want to achieve the 0 and 1’s, the module looking thingies, and the circle thingies. I know absolutely nothing essentially about graphic design, having only really used apps like picsart on my phone. I don’t exactly know what type of tutorials I’d watch to eventually learn to make something like this.

Hello everyone, idk much about politics and am trying to learn more. I read some information about the recent voting rights act situation and the conclusion I came to is that in a vacuum, the lousiana congressional district could be considered a racial gerrymander, but in the context that the district was created in response to racial gerrymandering that was occurring before hand, it shouldn’t be considered as such and the Supreme Court is ignoring the whole picture

I have so many hobbies/media that I want to take on, but for some reason it takes a lot of momentum for me to actually want to do it. For some reason I get anxious and dread doing my hobbies because I am a beginner and it feels overwhelming maybe, even if I enjoy it while I’m actually doing this. Has anyone overcome this? I’ve had hobbies I’ve been wanting to do/become good at for over a year.
