hello everyone! I am looking to get into analog glitch video art. I’ve been looking into the equipment but I am confused on which method to use. I know that it is possible to take 2 videos and mix them with a video mixer after having applied glitches using glitch gear. It is also possible to use capture cards and send the videos back to your computer to be used in resolume, which contains the ability to mix videos of course. Which would be a smoother method for a live VJ set?

I tried a tutorial in which you are shown how to make a matrix rain effect. the guy in the tutorial does all of these confusing expressions and creates sliders to customize different components of the effect, such as transparency, speed, random seed etc. How do people learn what expressions do in order to create different effects?

When usjng photoshop, my computer has shut down and given me the VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (0x116) claim.sys message. I thought that the issue was my fans being clogged with fabric fibers. Could that be it?

21F. I am going to hang out with a new girl friend soon for the first time that I met online. We never called or anything. I can be kind of socially awkward. Should I warn her? For some reason I always feel the need to apologize for being awkward, even preemptively sometimes.

21F. I feel like my brain doesn’t make connections or explore all of the possible avenues. For example, I was looking for my brother’s iPad today. I went upstairs to look and it was on a counter I hadn’t searched all along. i am 21 and pretty much uninteresting in terms of hobbies and knowledge, largely due to my ADHD. If I lock in and get medicated and work on myself, I can see myself becoming interesting by 22.5-24. is that too late for me? I am asking because it seems like other people are already interesting by 18-19 and I feel like a baby/behind. I feel stupid.

my interests that I have somewhat or not had the energy to fully pursue:
- 3d modeling
- live visuals/resolume/touchdesigner
- goth makeup (I go to events already)
- embroidery (not pursued at all yet)
- sewing (not pursued at all yet)
- politics/history
- aerials
- sci fi

I currently have the ADHD where your head goes blank and you don’t have anything good to talk about at times and go quiet unless I was recently doing something interesting or have people to bounce off of

I want to add value to the friend group, to be the person to make everybody art or offer them interesting knowledge or something!
