Lower back pain for at least 3 to 5 years
I’m 54F. 145 pounds. Diagnosed with Fibromyalgia almost 25 years ago. We recently moved from PA to AZ and I have had this lower back pain for anywhere from 3 to 5 years and probably longer.
Until I moved out here I was taking prescribed Tramadol but now I’m taking edibles (legal in AZ). This is the reason why I take them 99% of the time.
I should have had my back checked out back in Pennsylvania and it’s quite possible that I made it worse with the packing and the move but this has been a problem since before we moved.
The pain is right above my buttocks and across my lower back. My issue is that many people chalk it up to age but when it’s affecting my quality of life it’s not good.
I have found that the edibles help, as does my recliner (it has heat and massage in it) and going to the jacuzzi in our complex. But the issue is without knowing what’s causing it this is just a stop gap solution.
The pain is sharp and I was diagnosed with arthritis in the upper part of my neck. I don’t know if it’s related or not. I haven’t had a physically demanding job like lifting or anything for decades- I work on a computer. I’ve fallen a couple of times which also could have aggravated it.
Now I’m trying to find an orthopedist who can hopefully give me some answers. But I’m miserable.
