Crimson Desert or Monster Hunter Wilds?

I’m torn between these two titles and would love to get your input.

To give you an idea of what I like: I'm looking for a game with strong RPG mechanics (character leveling, gear progression with weapons/armor, plenty of farming) and top-tier graphics (which is why I'm looking at Wilds instead of Rise). I couldn't care less about the story, my focus is purely on gameplay, progression, and the satisfaction of building up my character.

  • Monster Hunter Wilds: This would be my first Monster Hunter game. I played the demo and the gameplay felt really fun. My main concern is whether it might get repetitive in the long run. Also, the setting and color palette don't particularly blow me away.
  • Crimson Desert: I haven't been able to try it out, but visually, in terms of colors, art direction, and world design, I definitely prefer it over Wilds.

Given these preferences, which one do you think would be the better fit for me?

[PS4] Locked out of my old PSN account – Support asking for info I don't have. Any advice?

Reposting due to wrong flair.

I'm trying to start using my PS4 and PS Vita again after about 10 years, but I’ve completely forgotten my PSN account password.

Here is what’s going on:

  • Password Reset Failure: When I click "Reset Password" on the PlayStation website, I never receive the recovery email (I've checked my spam folder repeatedly). I’ve been trying for over a week, so I’m pretty sure it’s an issue on Sony's end.
  • Support Dead End: I contacted PlayStation Customer Care, but they keep giving me standard script responses. They are requiring two specific pieces of information to verify my identity:
    1. The last digits of the payment card previously used on the account.
    2. The serial number of the first console ever linked to the account.

Unfortunately, that card has been expired and discarded for years (I don't have the numbers anywhere), and the first console was an old PS3 that I sold/got rid of a long time ago.

Has anyone who had this same issue with the password reset email not arriving managed to fix it?

My L10S Ultra make a pig-grunting sound

Is it normal for the robot to make this noise that sounds like a pig grunting? It has done it right from the beginning, but now it does it almost constantly compared to before, even right after being cleaned. The central brush has just been cleaned.

Crimson Desert or God of War (2018)?

When playing video games, I prioritize gameplay over the story. A while ago, I played God of War for about an hour, but it felt overly cinematic compared to God of War 3, which I enjoyed for its fast-paced action. I might just need to give it more time to truly appreciate it.

Don't get me wrong: if a game is well-made, I can still enjoy it even if it has a slower pace or long cutscenes, as long as the gameplay is exceptionally well-crafted.

From the videos I've seen of Crimson Desert, I really like the setting and graphics, but since I haven't watched much footage yet, I'm not entirely sure how the gameplay actually is. All I know is that it has faced quite a bit of criticism.

Given that CD costs three times as much as God of War, and considering how highly acclaimed God of War is, which one should I buy?

How to Keep VLC Playback Position After PC Restart?

Eisenlink vs. Threaded Dumbbells for Home Gym (Bench Press Clearance?)

I'm setting up a home gym and could use some advice on choosing the right dumbbells.

I recently had a bad experience with a generic set of adjustable dumbbells (€400). I'm returning them for safety reasons after the half-kilo add-on weights suddenly detached mid-workout.

Now I'm torn between two options:

  • Eisenlink Dumbbells: I like that the overall width adjusts depending on the weight loaded (similar to traditional adjustable dumbbells). The downside is the cost—€320 for two 20 kg dumbbells, plus the extra cost for additional weight plates to scale up.
  • Standard Threaded Spinlock Dumbbells: Much more budget-friendly (€170 for a pair of 30 kg dumbbells). However, I'm worried about the fixed length of the handles: I'm concerned the protruding bars might bump into my chest during flat bench presses or restrict my range of motion.

For those who have experience with threaded spinlock dumbbells, is this fixed bar length actually an issue on the flat bench press? Are they noticeably uncomfortable, or is it easy enough to adapt to?

No water flow from Dreame L10s Ultra dock

Water is not coming out from my Dreame L10s Ultra base station. I suspected a limescale buildup or an airlock, so I tried injecting water and vinegar directly into the small pump using a needleless syringe, but it didn't help. Water still doesn't flow and the robot keeps cleaning completely dry.

What do you suggest I do to fix this issue?

Edit: I don't know if this is related, but I noticed that under "Base Station Activities", the detergent status always says "installation error", even though I've cleaned it thoroughly and reinserted it multiple times.

How is it even possible for a multi-billion-dollar giant to handle authentication in such a grotesque way?

I was trying to set up the Facebook app on my mom's iPad. Since I didn't know her password, I tapped "Forgot Password."

First absurdity: the app redirects me to Safari, where, after confirming a code sent via WhatsApp, I manage to log in... only on Safari! The Facebook app - the exact place where I initiated the request - remains completely logged out.

So I think: "Alright, no big deal." I open the Facebook app on her iPhone, where she’s already logged in, and try to change the password from there. It asks for the "current password" which I don't have and "new password", so I tap "Forgot password?" again.

At that point, the system outdoes itself: it opens a new pop-up window, asks for another WhatsApp verification code, and dumps me straight onto the Facebook Home feed still in the pop-up, completely ignoring my request to change the password.

It's an infinite web-login loop that never solves the actual problem and won't let me sign into the app.

On top of that, as I've mentioned recently, things aren't any better on my end: ever since I switched phones, the app keeps asking me to do a face verification check, but no matter how many times I try, it completely fails to detect my face!

Luckily I never use this app, or I'm sure I'd find issues everywhere and completely lose my mind.

How on earth are these apps governing the modern world when their core systems literally fall apart at the slightest bend?

Galaxy S25 Ultra: photo and video transfer to Windows PC keeps failing after a few files

I would like to import photos and videos from my S25 Ultra to my Windows PC. There are around 2,000 files in total. The problem is that every few files (around 10), the process stops with the message: “Unable to import files from S25 Ultra, check that it is connected.”

I have already disabled the automatic screen lock and power saving mode, but it seems like the transfer simply cannot handle more than about 10 files at a time and keeps failing.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Is there another way to transfer them?

When I connect the phone, I select “File transfer” on the phone (not “Photo transfer”, since there are also videos). On the PC, the Photos app opens automatically, and I simply click “Select all” and then “Import.”

Keyboard issue: Alt Gr + ò does not type @ and randomly changes layout

I have a problem with my keyboard. I wanted to type the @ symbol using Alt Gr + ò, but when I press these two keys, the computer does strange things. As you can see in the video, I press Alt Gr + ò and instead of typing @, after 3 seconds it types “aa”. Then, if I press ò again, after about 5 seconds it changes the layout for no reason and starts typing random characters like “saù”. The Fn Lock is already disabled. What could be causing this?

Viper V3 Pro charging issue after one year of inactivity

Messenger face verification not detecting my face. Can't reply to messages

So I got locked out because I switched devices. I can't reply to messages on Messenger because of this verification. When I try to verify my face, it just won't detect it. I'm using an iPhone 17 Pro, so I don't think the selfie camera is the issue. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

32 kg vs 40 kg adjustable dumbbells: which ones should I choose for long-term muscle growth?

I am buying adjustable dumbbells for a small home gym, but I am undecided whether to get the 32 kg or the 40 kg ones. At the gym, I can lift 37.5 kg on the incline chest press, while on the flat chest press using the Smith machine, I was lifting around 32 kg. These numbers confuse me because those machines were guided, so they were much easier to perform compared to free weights.

I was wondering whether the 32 kg adjustable dumbbells will last me a while or if, in the long term, it would be better to get the 40 kg ones. The 32 kg ones cost €400, while the 40 kg ones cost €600.

Adjustable Dumbbells or Loadable Dumbbells for Home Training?

I'd like to train at home using a bench and a pair of dumbbells, and I've been considering the 60 kg total loadable dumbbell set from Songmics because it's quite affordable (€170) and I can easily add more weight in the future.

My main concern is whether the fixed handle length, especially when using lighter weights, could interfere with certain exercises or make training less comfortable.

I also considered buying adjustable dumbbells, but the only ones available in my area at a reasonable quality are the RexGym adjustable dumbbells, which cost around €600. All the cheaper brands seem to max out at only 24 kg per dumbbell.

What would you recommend? Would the Songmics loadable dumbbells be a good choice, or could their fixed length get in the way of my training?
