Probable ringworm was noted and a private vet was recommended for further evaluation/treatment. Melody has hair loss on her elbows, tail and feet. Assessment includes dermatitis/contagious dermatitis. She was vaccinated with Rabies, DA2PP-V and Bordetella, dewormed, and given flea prevention. Heartworm test: Low Positive.

Eddie arrived as a stray on June 24. When he first came to the shelter, he shared his kennel with another male dog. Sadly, his kennel mate became ill and was euthanized. Eddie is healthy, but he has been waiting alone ever since.** 💔

CEDAR #A657929 is only 5 months old and has already spent nearly TWO MONTHS in the shelter. 😭 At his age, he should be learning where the toy basket is, chasing leaves around a backyard and falling asleep after playing with his family—not growing up behind kennel bars.

He’s a happy, goofy, dog-friendly and people-friendly puppy who is currently kenneled with two other pups. ❤️ He’s also already NEUTERED and ready to leave the shelter!

7/30/26: Felicia was very fearful during her evaluation, hiding, crying, and retreating when approached. Despite her fear, she allowed handling with patience and time.

7/31/26: Felicia greeted staff with a tense body, tucked tail, and worried expression. She walked semi-loosely but was nervous around doorways. With gentle baby talk, treats, and patience, she relaxed, leaned into pets, and sought affection.

8/1/26: Felicia initially showed a tense body, lowered head, and tucked tail, but after entering her kennel she slowly warmed up with a wagging tail. Although she remained cautious and stepped away when approached, she gradually became more comfortable.

8/3/26: Felicia walked to the front of her kennel with a semi-tense body and low wagging tail. She was easy to leash and walked well on a loose leash.

8/4/26: Felicia greeted handlers at her kennel door with a low wagging tail. She allowed herself to be leashed and walked in zig-zags to and from the potty yard. She occasionally pancaked or retreated briefly when returning to her kennel.

8/5/26: Felicia greeted staff with a wagging tail and playful bow when they baby talked to her. She walked nicely on a loose leash.

💖 Felicia is a shy young girl who is steadily learning that people can be kind. Every day she shows a little more confidence-offering tail wags, play bows, and eventually leaning into gentle pets once she feels safe. She will thrive with a patient adopter or foster who will let her build trust at her own pace and celebrate each small victory.

7/20/2026: At the front of her kennel with a relaxed body, perky ears, and wagging tail. Leashed well and walked on a loose leash. Sniffed neighboring dogs and did her business in the runs. Returned to kennel with no issues and keeps her kennel clean.

7/21/2026: Ellie was jumping up and down on the kennel door with a loose wiggly body and tail. Pulled forward to go outside. In the runs she ran back and forth and play bowed with the dog next to her. Took a treat gently from my hand before returning to her kennel.

7/23/2026: Moved to adoption. Quiet with a relaxed body and wagging tail. Easy to leash and walked on a loose leash to new kennel.

7/24/2026: Ellie walks on a loose leash and occasionally takes treats. In the kennel she forward barks at dogs walking past.

7/27/2026: Ellie greets me at the kennel door with a wiggly body and fast wagging tail. Occasionally high-pitched whines before going out. Jumps on the kennel door to be leashed, walks in zig zags to and from the potty yard, and waits by the kennel door for interaction.

7/28/2026: Same behavior as previous day. Ellie greets handlers with a wiggly body and fast wagging tail. Occasionally whines before going outside. Jumps on the kennel door when leashed, walks in zig zags to and from the potty yard, and waits excitedly by the kennel door for interaction.

7/29/2026: Quiet until I approach and uncover kennel, then begins to bark. Easy to leash and walked on a loose leash, sniffing neighboring dogs in the runs.

7/30/2026: Barking at dogs passing by her kennel, easy to leash and walks on a loose leash. Relaxed body and fast wagging tail. High-pitched barking as customers walked past kennel, jumping on kennel door to peek over blanket. Given a nylon bone and pig ear and has been quiet since.

7/31/2026: Ellie was easily leashed and walked loosely with a neutral body. She vocalized as other dogs passed her kennel during AM cleaning and as customers passed through the row. Passing kennel, she had destroyed her plush toy and looked up at me with dilated eyes, ears back, lip licked, wagging curled tail and front paws on the door. Later, whining and howling with no customers in the row and all other dogs in the row were quiet.

8/1/2026: Vocal as I enter row, relaxed body and wagging tail.

8/2/2026: Ellie greets me at the kennel door with a fast wagging tail, jumping up on the kennel door, and when I pass her she high-pitched barks. She let me leash her and walks in zig zags to and from the potty yard. Inside her kennel she can be seen waiting by the kennel door for interaction.

8/3/2026: Vocal in kennel. Standing in front of kennel door with a wagging tail and relaxed body. Easy to leash and walks on a loose leash.

💔 Gracie has already survived more than any puppy ever should. She was rescued from a horrific hoarding situation involving about 20 dogs, where they were neglected, left without adequate food or water, and living in squalor. The home had a gas leak so severe it nearly exploded, putting every dog inside at risk. Instead of finally getting the safe, loving future she deserves, Gracie now finds herself on BARC’s euthanasia list.
As if that wasn’t enough, she arrived covered in infected bite wounds and suffering from demodex and dermatitis. This tiny puppy has endured neglect, injury, and fear—but she still has a chance if a rescue and foster step forward today.
