Current have storage formatted with zfs. On Nextcloud AIO setup, it freezes on docker image pull.
Should Docker container be overlay2 or xfs vDisk if using Nextcloud AIO in unRAID?
Usually carry my laptop and phone and want to carry a 2 port USB-C charging block in my ultralight EDC bag. I already have a 3 port Anker charger (2 USB-C/1 USB-A) but it’s too bulky to carry in EDC bag. I only take that when I travel in my travel bag or luggage.
What do you recommend that’s 2 port USB-C, light and not bulky?
How much should you have saved to give up your career, everything in the states and travel internationally as a vlogger and be able to earn enough income from your social media platforms to do this permanently? The savings should last at least 1-2 years while you build up your channels for repeat income.
Just wrapped up a 7 night stay at the Hyatt Place San Jose Downtown (Sat to Sat) while visiting friends and working remotely the whole time. Figured I’d drop some thoughts since I didn’t find a ton of recent reviews before booking.
The room
Got a room with two beds on the 9th floor, which is actually the top floor of the hotel. Room itself was decent size, clean, nothing fancy but did the job. Don’t expect a view though, mine looked out at basically nothing special.
Wifi / working remotely
This was my main concern going in since I was WFH the entire week, but wifi held up well the whole stay. No complaints, video calls and everything worked fine. I worked mostly from the breakfast/dining area and there were only a couple seats where a power outlet was accessible but had no problems getting access everyday as there were only a few people working there during the day.
Interesting crowd
This was the most interesting part of the stay honestly. Weekdays the hotel skewed heavily toward business travelers and families, felt like 70% older/professional crowd. Then Friday through Sunday it completely flipped, tons of people in their 20s checking in and the whole vibe shifted to something closer to a hostel especially with the pool table near the dining room. At weekend breakfast it was probably 70% young people. I think there might have been some anime con that weekend I stayed so hence the younger crowd.
Breakfast & amenities
Breakfast was decent, nothing to write home about but got the job done every morning.
Gym was fine for a quick workout. No pool though.
Location
Don’t expect a neighborhood full of restaurants and shops right outside the door, but the hotel is literally right next to the Convention Center, like a 2-3 minute walk. So if you’re in town for a conference or event there, this is about as convenient as it gets. SAP Center and San Jose State are also both within a reasonable walk if you want to catch a game or wander campus. Otherwise a few Lime scooters parked nearby for getting around further out.
Parking
This one caught me off guard, $45/day for parking. I assumed the Hilton across the street had free parking as an alternative, but I actually looked into it and they charge the same $45/day self-parking rate with no valet option. So don’t bother switching hotels for that reason, it’s the same story downtown.
Overall
Every day I asked at the front desk for water and they gave me two bottled waters without ever checking my Explorist status. Small thing but appreciated the consistency.
Solid stay if you need a base in downtown San Jose, especially if you’re there for something at the convention center since you’re basically steps away. Just don’t expect much of a walkable food/shopping scene beyond that, budget for parking, and know the vibe of the hotel will feel completely different depending on if you’re there on a weekday or a weekend.
I consistently win in San Diego casinos for the past 4 years playing only slots and every time I travel to other casinos including Las Vegas Strip/Fremont, Reno, Tahoe, Yaamava, Graton, Florida, Atlantic City, NYC, I lose every time. Anyone who consistently play in San Diego casinos (Barona, Jamul, Sycuan, Viejas) have way better returns than any other casinos in the country?
It seems like iPads are more ideal for watching videos, web surfing, drawing, productivity apps and note taking, which does not require very powerful CPUs. It’s not a MacBook replacement and not ideal for desktop apps, coding, terminal, software development, AI or virtualization. So what’s the point of having a powerful M5 processor on a device for just basic tablet stuff?

Trying to not use all units hot key. Using control groups isn’t the problem for me. I have 1 set to main attack group, 2 investors, 3 vipers, 4 queens, 5 bases, and 6 Nydus.
It’s adding new units to the right group constantly thats hard for me especially when I’m building a bunch of different units at once with Zerg while macro/microing.
I’ve been using all units hot key to regroup them and then resetting the control groups. How to auto add new investors to 2, vipers to 3, all other units to 1?
