Brillant outtakes! All love these which probably because they give off Bush of Ghosts vibes:) They say “unfinished” but these don’t sound unfinished since these are brilliant cuts from the Remain in Light sessions. ❤️💙🖤🤍

So what’s your favorite of these ‘outtakes?’ My favorite might be “Unison” since it’s soo Eno.:)

Relistening to this magnificent album again today and whoa it’s still an Brilliant,fresh,and beautiful album with some amazing music start to finish! Love everything about this album especially Adrian Belew doing some frantic,other worldly guitar work,John Hassell doing some great horn and trumpet work,and the brilliant production by Brian Eno with all this layering and beeps-boops.

My Life in the Bush of Ghosts was recorded between fear of music and this album(btw bush of ghosts is an amazing album from Bryne-Eno) so I definitely feel like they definitely used of the techniques used on My Life in the Bush of Ghosts to expand their sound and experimentation for Remain in Light which created an dense,layered album yet it’s so brilliant!

So what’s your thoughts on Remain in Light and what’s your favorite song(s)? Crosseyed and Painless,The Great Curve,Seen and not Seen,and Listening Wind are my favorites

Listening some of great elemental mixes from Larks Tongue in Aspic which I love these but glad that the great percussion by Jamie is highlighted because what creative percussion is done on this album next to the excellent Bruford drumming which I love recording stories so love how they recorded his percussion 🥁 Really need to listen to more of Crimson’s elemental mixes:)

Listening to the Visconti remix of Lodger recently which is an great remix that brings some new life and textures to this fantastic album but I could hear the Eno bits more in this remix which I love because I feel like Eno did his best parts here from the trilogy on Lodger even though Eno isn’t playing much(do love his musical impact) but he’s more in the songwriting process with Bowie:)

I feel like Eno definitely injected some Talking Heads like rhythmic Afro beats with the world music on side 1 but the “Cricket Menace”,”prepared piano”,and treatments are all Eno too which ofc I love with the unique sounds of Lodger(shoutout to Adrian Belew for some great,frantic guitar parts) so thank you Brian Eno for putting for touches on Lodger with Bowie and Visconti:)

What’s your favorite song from this album that was produced by Michael Beinhorn?

Fantastic production by him and love his mixing on 4th of July but Black Hole Sun might be the best song with the Michael Beinhorn production yet My Wave,Superunknown,and The Day I Tried to Live are great!

Going to go through a Twilight Zone rewatch again on October which my opinion always changes on the original run like last October I liked that 1 hour format change for season 4 so love the original series!:)

So I know that Rod did the Night Gallery and I haven’t watched Night Gallery yet should I pick up Night Gallery so I’m assuming yes which what are your favorite episodes of Night Gallery?

Edit:is there a night gallery episode like a twilight zone like episode where it’s a starting point or should I start from Season 1 Episode 1? That’s basically what I’m asking so apologies for the confusion

June 1st,1974 exists which is an great album but apparently Eno played on 3 tracks on Nico’s The End produced by Cale too and all 3 tracks with Eno’s synthesizer parts pair well with Nico’s harmonium playing which creates this nice haunting,eerie sound that I quite enjoy since it fits what Nico and Cale were doing on The End.

Phil Manzanera plays electric guitar too but only on the title track which fills out this album’s sound nicely yet apparently Eno’s synths pairs well with Nick’s harmonium together so overall what’s your opinion on this or what’s your thoughts on Nico’s The End album?

So what’s your opinion on Elfman’s music for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?

Love this adaptation from Burton first of all but really this soundtrack makes my love for this movie valid because this is Elfman at his best with Burton and it’s so whimsical,magical,and brilliant like most of his music with Burton but the actual music just fits this movie perfectly with its bombastic,whimsy!:) Those Oompa Loompa songs are great and catchy as hell especially Augustus Gloop and Violet Beauregarde.

Edit:There’s 2 demos on that rare Burton-Elfman box set in the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory disc which looks interesting since an work tape or demo from him can be great but it’s an pricey box to get unfortunately:(

What’s the thoughts on The Pink Opaque album*?*

The Moon and The Melodies and this album were the first 2 Cocteau Twins albums I’ve heard recently since I got into them from their Harold Budd connection and these are completely different albums from each other but I love them so much:)

The Pink Opaque is just a compilation album and in entry point to people but this is an amazing album start to finish that is good enough to be a mainline album tbh with some good gems throughout.

What’s the thoughts on Feelings?

First of all I’m an fan of this cover art and all the art for the Feelings packaging is great because it’s very Toy Story or Barbie and I love how Byrne does for his solo albums cover and packaging wise:)

Feelings is a great album from Byrne and it’s one of my favorites next to Catherine Wheel,Self Titled,and Look Into The Eyeball.Feelings has an great listen start to finish with Miss America,Wicked Little Doll,and They’re In Love being favorites plus love some of these remixed versions from The Visible Man!:)

Just love this whole era from the album(plus b-sides) to the tour! But this era’s look is magnificent.What remarkable is that how quick Prince recorded and released Lovesexy in less than 2 months from scrapping the Black Album is just incredible!

Didnt know that Jack Skellington appeared in Vincent and James in the Giant Peach as of today even though I could remember watching James in the Giant Peach as an Kid and The BeetleJuice Easter Egg is quite good even tho that looks nothing like Jack yet I like that whole “It’s Showtime” scene
