I’m currently in high school and trying to decide what I want to study at university. My parents are pushing me towards Computer Science, mainly because they believe it has good career prospects and that I could eventually go into cybersecurity. The problem is that I’m honestly not that interested in coding. I don’t completely hate it, but I’m not someone who enjoys programming, spending hours on GitHub, or building software.

What makes me even more confused is the current AI situation. AI is becoming increasingly capable of writing code and automating parts of software development, while at the same time I keep seeing people saying that CS graduates are struggling to find jobs. So I’m wondering whether CS is still a good and safe degree to choose if I’m already not particularly interested in coding. I don’t want to spend 4 years studying something mainly because my parents consider it a “safe” career, only to find out that the job market has changed.

My parents say I should do CS and then specialize in cybersecurity, but I’m not sure how realistic that is. From what I understand, cybersecurity still requires a strong CS/IT foundation and can involve quite a lot of technical work. I’m also wondering whether cybersecurity is actually more resistant to AI automation or whether it will face similar problems.

So, is CS still worth doing in 2026 if you’re not particularly interested in coding? Is the job market really becoming that difficult, and would you personally recommend CS for someone in my situation? I’m not completely against CS, I’m just genuinely unsure whether it makes sense for me.

Hi all, I am currently in Grade 11 and considering Bocconi for my undergraduate degree. But since it offers many courses that overlap, and sometimes have similar courses, I am unsure what the actual career destinations are after doing these undergraduate courses.

I want to know the actual jobs, rather than the 1-in-50 story of someone getting into a prestigious investment banking firm. I know those outcomes are possible, but they are not the case for everyone, so I am trying to get a more realistic view. Also, where do international graduates typically work?

The courses:

• BSc International Economics and Finance (BIEF)
• BSc Economics, Management and Computer Science (BEMACS)
• BSc Mathematical and Computing Sciences for Artificial Intelligence (BAI)
• BSc International Economics and Management (BIEM)

I am an IBDP student in Germany (non-EU), thinking of doing my bachelor at HSG for either Economics or Business.

However, I'm seeing quite mixed opinions online about HSG for international student.

My main questions are:

• How is HSG for bachelor's studies in English taught BBA and Economics?
• Since INTL quota is just 25%, how competitive can the application process be and what to do to increase chances getting into HSG?
• How strong are the career opportunities after the Bachelor's for international students
• How difficult is it to get good internships during the Bachelor's?
• Is it realistic to get a job in Switzerland just after bachelors?
• What is the general student experience like?

I'm also considering other European universities, so I'm mainly trying to understand whether doing my Bachelor's at HSG would be a strong long-term choice, rather than simply looking at prestige.

I'd especially appreciate honest opinions from current HSG students or alumni, including any downsides or things you wish you had known before enrolling.

I'm stuck between 2 university choices for my bachelor's and need honest opinions on it.

To get straight to the point, my ultimate goal is to get into Investment Banking and I know that these 2 unis are absolute power house for it. However, I also have to consider other aspects such as cost, fees, competition, prestigiousness, and career outcomes. As I am already in europe, I also wish to work in major cities like London, Zurich, Frankfurt, or even Milan.

I don't also speak Italian so that would make a difference but BSc management at LSE isn't their sgship course like Economics.

Which is why I am not sure which on to focus more on?

I want to know and understand how difficult is SAT and what grade level maths and English questions appear?

From some people I've heard that it'd like 9th grade maths but since SAT is a university exam in the USA, I am speculating that it is very tough (kinda like 12th grade intense maths)?

I am an IB student who wishes to do TMUA becuase one of my course requires it. However, I need information about TMUA as I have Maths AI HL background. I have heard that Maths AA us better for TMUA?

I am an IBDP student (G11) and wish to study computing (computer science) at Imperial. I know that Computing needs TMUA, but I want to understand what matters the most and what not?

For example I know LSE values PS a lot, but what about ICL? Also I have Maths AI HL as my DP subject and not AA, i want to know about the preparation for TMUA whether it is doable since maths aa is better for it?

Should I start doing some supercurriculars so that my personal statement stands out or just focus on grades and TMUA and interview? I honestly dont know anything about coding or technical stuff but wish to learn it.

Just started DP1 and am desperately confused what subjects and what topic to choose my EE in. Furthermore, I understand absolutely not so much on what exactly is EE about? Is it just independent research or you create something?

I see many people and webs say that choose something from your interests, but this is just bs I'm opinion.

I am considering maths or Physics but I have heard that it's very hard to ace them and get high grades.

HL: MAI, Business, German B

Sl: Physics, Chemistry, English L&L

Half of my people are taking Business for their ee which is why I am tryba avoid it.

I was looking at the undergraduate admission statistics at LSE and saw that BSc A&F and BSc Management has way lower acceptance rate than the most popular BSc Economics. While these two aren't that popular?

Does this imply that getting into BSc Economics is kinda easier than those two? Since more available spaces will mean more chances to land an offer?

Furthermore, I would appreciate if I could get more information about the admission statistics at LSE as for latest.

I am not doing a bilingual diploma, just IBDP program and have chosen German B HL. I feel like not many people take language B at HL and only bilingual ppl do.

I wanted to switch Physics from SL to HL instead of Business as I may wanted to do Engineering later in university. However, when I emailed my school head teacher that I wanted to switch the level of the subject, she denied by saying that "I was the only student in my cohort taking Physics at HL level ." Other people in my cohort wanted to get into Medicine so most of them took Bio HL, and because of others decision I couldn't get what i personally wanted, and they still have their options open.

On top of that, my school don't even offer MAA and now HL Physics which are the most essential for Engineering, and tbh I am currently very confused and kinda sad.

For context I live in Germany and wish to study in Germany (TUM), UK (ICL Oxford, LSE), Netherlands (Delft), or Switzerland (ETH). But because of my subject choice I feel like the doors may be closed even before DP started. My current subjects look like:

HL: MAI, Business & M, German B
SL: Physics, Chemistry, English A LL

And I feel that Business is mostly seen as an 'useless' subjects by most schools, and that my only main subjects is Maths.

I really wanted to get into a good school and I am also hardworking & smart (got all As in IGCSE), but due to my school I feel like I don't have much options.

Could you'all guide me?
