We've noticed an increase in serious posts that aren't jerking, do you really want this sub, our sub, the sub of all shifter circle jerkers to be victim of loandroids, chatgpt, endless walls of text without real advice, etc? do you really want to lose the memes? the very foundations of this subreddit!

We demand a change! jobless mod! make rule 1 more estrict and remove posts that aren't jerking!

2012 (2009) it's an actual masterpiece and should've won an oscar (VFX specifically)

I think we all know the movie 2012, released in 2009 and directed by Roland Emmerich.

It has been wildly crictised as unrealistic, poorly written, etc.

But that moive is like a small hyperfixation of mine, so I'll explain why in my opinion it's a damn masterpiece:

People always complain about it being unrealistic usually pointing out things like when in the movie Dr. Satnam Tsurutani says: "The neutrinos! they have mutated!" that line made scientists go wild agaisn't the movie because it isn't possible, but here is the thing... it's a movie that's like complaining that the code in Matrix isn't code but a sushi recipe (it is, look it up), I think people got all whiney with this movie for no reason.

Another thing, they complain about how it's written, first of all, the writting it's outstanding, it isn't 100% located in the USA like most movies are, multiple countries appear and they even get the culture right (even if we got like 5 minutes of it), not like hollywood oscar winning movies where everything is super stereotyped, also characters are super iconic and charismatic, they all have a good backstory, I'll also address the most common complain about how the movie it's written: Kate Curtis didn't care when Gordon Silberman died in the most horrific way crushed by the gears of the ark and inmediately went back with her ex-husband (Jackson Curtis), for some context, Gordon Silberman was her boyfriend at the time, and the one that piloted the planes to get them out of Los Angeles, Yellowstone and Las Vegas, he was also a very nice person, the thing is that, it's clear that Kate Curtis didn't really love him, I'm pretty sure she was with him because of the money, because well, she didn't mind his death and also she kept caring for Jackson after their divorce.

Another complain is that the movie is 158 minutes long, well, get ready to be collored impressed, Titanic is 194 minutes long and it was way better received by the general public (I love Titanic too but it's just a comparison).

I'll explain why I think 2012 deserved the 2009 oscar of VFX, 2012 visual effects still look great and you probably wouldn't be able to tell that it was made in 2009, it would say it has aged like a fine wine, but the thing is that... it hasn't aged, they effects are still great, it was released on november of 2009 so it was nominated for the 2010 oscar awards, now, let's take a look at the 2010 oscar for VFX winner... avatar... look, personally I'm not an avatar fan, but if you look at it, as of 2026, it looks old, it has aged poorly, at the moment it was kind of impressive, but the CGI now looks awful, I'll try to see it from a 2010 point of view... which is better... incredibly well made VFX effects or wow, medium quality cgi that has used new technology....

it just feels wrong, avatar won just because it used newer technology and it was impressive, not because it looked good, but 2012 looked, looks and will still look awesome.

Also 2012 made history for disaster movies.

So to put it quickly: 2012 is a well written movie, with good characters, good vfx which still looks good, an inflexion point in disaster movies and in general... just a masterpiece...

Hello everyone, I'm someone and I think we gotta address something, there's some subreddit which I CANNOT mention because of Rule 5, but that subreddit sole porpuse is to generate AI porn of witty designer, I personally don't agree with her views but she doesn't deserves that and both sides pro and anti ai we all must agree on a common ground: "doing that is disgusting"

So on this post I'll expose the deepest pits of that hellpit and talk about my different theories, let it start:
Picture 1:
Over there we can see someone with the tag "jushi", sadly I had to censor the username, but that person will be the main character of this hell hole, let's start analysing this person, his pfp is a black yoshi OC with the flag of Israel in his eyes, I won't enter into real life politics, but ata first glance, we could just say: "Welp, probably a ragebaiter or a troll, nothing new" but look at this tag: "jushi (witty's bf)" after that there is "jushi - witty is my gf" this is were it starts to get weird, one might think that it's some witty weird fan or just a troll, but this is things start to get bad we don't know witty's age she may be 10, 15, 20, 30 and so on, but saying things like that about someone you don't know it's age can be predatory if the other person is a minor...

There are many other users on that subreddit, but this person is the main poster of that disgusting content, he posts suggestive content like the one seen here and straight out porn (pictures 3 and 4, censored because I don't know how to add spoiler tags to only the photos) and ALSO has some short of fetish with witty's transexuality (as seen in screenshot 3, I had to censor like 50% of it tho) and as a transfem person myself, I find that disgusting.

Do you think this is over? nah, this has just started, let's continue digging deeper

Excuse me sir, WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?! I don't know if witty had cancer or not in real life, but as a person who lost close people to cancer, this is absolutely awful, specially the tribialization and sexualization of the PTSD that cancer survivors may get, and if witty had cancer in real life then there are no words to define how much that comic digusts me, really.

Picture 6:
This picture is just weird but I honestly think it's proof that this person is most probably a fucking ragebaiter because of his obsession with Israel

Theory 1 about all of this:
It's an anti attacking witty by causing her emotional pain and stress

Theory 2 about all of this:

It's a pro ai troll that thinks they're funny.

Both of these theories are feasible.

If I'm not wrong witty has already expressed disgust about all of this but I'm not sure because I don't follow whatever she posts and I've only interacted with her once, but I think this deserves to get some visibility, I think we antis must be less harsh with witty, she already has enough with this shit.
