I haven’t posted in a few days, in part because there are so many thoughts and emotions swirling inside me. Jane Doe absolutely was assaulted, even if she didn’t process that in the immediate aftermath, even if she “voluntarily” imbibed earlier in the day. The number of men in the group chat who chose to remain silent, who even celebrated the situation is…unspeakable. The number of talking heads who are blaming the victim rather than acknowledging the depravity of what occurred enrage me.

I keep thinking that we, as a society, are better than this. And I keep realizing how little systemic change has occurred.

I knew this was coming…overheard one eighth grade boy saying this to another today. How are we supposed to teach polite behavior to kids when our nation’s leader displays that kind of behavior?!?

It is astounding how quickly we can go viral and how completely inappropriate men can be when it happens!

I really enjoyed listening to this episode today! I realize both women are from the generation before ours, but certainly had an impact on Gen X.

I was excited to listen to the 20th anniversary edition of B’day by Beyoncé yesterday! I realize that a lot of people my age mostly listen to the music that we enjoyed when we were teenagers or in our 20’s, but I enjoy finding new artists I enjoy or new music from artists I love. How about you?

It seems like a dance song to me rather than a ballad; I can’t wait to hear what else this album will bring!

Her work will continue to have an impact for generations to come. A life well lived!
