I’ve been guarding in this city off and on since 1995, and at this pool since 2017. I’ve found plenty of frogs in the pool before, but this was a first! Scooped it out with the skimmer net after chasing it around the pool for a bit—I hope he finds his way back to the river!
I moved out from the home I bought when married to my ex in December 2020. My father has always grilled, and when I married my ex he learned how to grill really well, so I never learned how to do so myself. I bought a small Weber grill and a bag of charcoal two or three summers ago, and finally grilled myself some hamburger patties and sausages today!!!

I discovered DAC in college when I heard “You Never Even Called Me by My Name”. I enjoyed discovering his other albums, but when someone played me his underground album I never enjoyed his music the same way again.
How do some of you who are fans of his music manage to separate his commercial songs from who his underground songs showed him to be?
(I learned since joining Reddit that “You Never Even Called Me by My Name” was actually written by John Prine and Steve Goodman, not DAC!)
Wow, this song resonated so much for me! It made me think of my younger self who used to say similar things about my then-husband. Kacey is such a talented songwriter, as well as an amazing singer!
I love this duet Noah sang with her dad! His voice almost reminds me of late Leonard Cohen, especially at the beginning. The visuals I’ve seen on her Instagram are really beautiful. I have been a big fan of her music for years, but am really loving her current work.
