What is your favorite Janet Jackson world tour? What did you love most about the tour or costumes?

My favorite is the The Velvet Rope Tour. It was a true cultural phenomenon with its incredible stage production, choreography, and iconic wardrobe. I still remember watching it on HBO when I was 6 years old. 🎤✨

🎛️ 💽40 Years of Janet Jackson’s Control

40 years ago, in February 1986, Control changed everything for Janet Jackson. I may be late on the anniversary, but this will always be my favorite Janet album.

Her first two albums barely sold 300,000 copies, but with Control, Janet took control of her career — firing her father as manager, teaming up with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, and bringing in Paula Abdul for choreography. Control went on to sell 10 million copies worldwide 📀 and turned the baby sister of the The Jacksons into a superstar in her own right. The result was an iconic album that changed pop and R&B forever. 🎶🔥

What are your favorite top two songs from the Control album?

The Jackson Siblings Albums 💽

All of the Jackson siblings released solo albums at some point in their careers, but Michael and Janet Jackson truly found the perfect formula for success. Michael’s legendary partnership with Quincy Jones, and Janet’s iconic collaboration with Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, helped shape some of the greatest music of all time. I always wished the other Jackson siblings could have reached the same level of superstardom as Michael and Janet.

TGIT 📺🍿

Do you remember when Shonda Rhimes had everyone tuning in every Thursday night for back-to-back episodes of Grey's Anatomy and Scandal? Unfortunately, I wasn’t watching during that era, but I later binge-watched Scandal and How to

Get Away with Murder at the same time.

I also loved the crossover episode between Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder. I wish Grey's Anatomy was in the same universe so they could’ve done a crossover called “How Grey’s Got Away With Scandal.” 😂

Shonda Rhimes really inspires me to one day build my own production company.

Fallon vs Fallon 2.0 🎬

I was disappointed when Pamela Sue Martin, who originally played Fallon Carrington Colby, left the show. She spoke about the pressure of fame and the demanding schedule on Dynasty—long filming hours plus constant press and promotion. At one point, she reportedly said, “I can’t do this anymore.”

Later, Emma Samms stepped in as her replacement. She even mentioned she had no formal acting training before taking on the role.

I still don’t fully understand the decision to bring Fallon back with amnesia and a British accent. It felt like a complete reset of the character. Do you think Amanda Carrington was originally meant to serve as her long-term replacement, similar to how Adam replaced Steven Carrington?

Beverly Hills, 90210 Final Bow 🎬May 17, 2000💍

Beverly Hills, 90210 ended on May 17, 2000, after 10 seasons and 293 episodes (Oct 4, 1990 – May 17, 2000).

In the finale, David Silver and Donna Martin finally get married. I was hoping to see Kelly Taylor and Dylan McKay end up together.

I also wonder how Steve Sanders, his wife, and their baby are doing now.

Jason Priestley, who played Brandon Walsh, appeared via satellite in the final episode.

Did you watch the finale in real time? What do you remember feeling? I was 8 years old when it aired.

Matthew Blaisdell Holds Everyone Hostage 🚨

This storyline was so random and pointless. Matthew disappeared from Dynasty in Season 1, then suddenly shows up seven years later holding everyone hostage out of nowhere. It made absolutely no sense.

Season 8 was one of the worst seasons ever. The Blake vs. Alexis governor storyline was a complete snooze fest. I could not wait for Sable Colby to arrive in Season 9 and finally bring some real drama back to the show.

Operation: Does She Yield 🚸

What do you guys think about Monica’s parents’ condo in Chicago on Girlfriends? Honestly, this design should’ve been Toni Childs’ condo.

Meanwhile, Monica always lived a luxury lifestyle, but Season 7 really revealed how much she depended on her father’s fortune. I thought Monica was completely self-sufficient, but her father was still giving her a huge monthly allowance, shopping sprees in Paris, and funding her lifestyle.

Then her mother cuts her off completely. Cold. But it also explains a lot about where Monica gets her personality from.

By Season 7, Monica Charles Brooks-Dent had to start figuring things out for herself, and Joan giving her the manager position at the J-Spot was one of the first times we really saw Monica trying to earn her own income.
