Seals at Point Pleasant Park

I saw these seals recently on the Hen and Chickens shoal off Point Pleasant Park at low tide. The one on the right needs a daybed and a smoking jacket.

Looking for Saskatchewan style pizza in Toronto

I'm on the hunt for a pizza place in Toronto that makes something similar to Vern's Pizza in Saskatchewan.

I'm looking for that classic Saskatchewan-style pizza with a thick layer of toppings, plenty of cheese, and a generous amount of meat. Something hearty, filling, and loaded from edge to edge.

And before anyone suggests deep-dish or Detroit-style pizza, that's not what I'm looking for. They're completely different styles.

Don't get me wrong, Toronto has some great thin-crust pizza, but sometimes I want something substantial that doesn't leave me hungry afterward.

If anyone knows a place in Toronto or the GTA that comes close to Vern's, I'd love to hear your recommendations!

S2e2 red river gold

At the end of the previous episode they were digging up a find in the forest and it turned out to be a lower canada (Quebec) bank token (worth 1/2 penny) called a sou.

The gang heads to the riverbank to look for the location of an old dock. Not found.

Back to the forest. 3 buttons found, some with gold gilt.

History lesson looking at pierrette's map. Talking about the reign of terror at fort Garry where the metis people were raped and murdered. 1870. They are looking for the goulet house. Elzear goulet was stoned to death but his wife and 6 kids survived.

Laurie finds 1/2 of a horseshoe. Then Eric finds a woman's jewel. It looks like a ruby but the fitting is brass so it's costume jewelry.

I will post the YouTube link here when it's up

just wondering did their work really keep 100% of mice out? Their service is pretty expensive.

The Roman Road

First thing I thought of with the new stone wall was making a road with it 😂 What better than one of the best designs with a roman road! Placing down the stone walls and then giving them a weathered effect with a pickaxe and sledge.

Happy building!
