FoodToronto and Rogers Stadium

So I posted over at r/FoodToronto about restaurant recommendations north of Roger Stadium as I am attending an event in the area. I’m not from the area so I thought I ask the appropriate sub.

My post got taken down because apparently I should search up the sub.

I get that it’s one of those frequently asked questions, especially for tourists but the mods should at least pin the top post concerning Rogers Stadium surrounding restaurants.

The moderators then posted a link to their searchbar but instead of posts about Rogers Stadium, a lot of the posts are restaurants around Rogers Centre. To my knowledge, these are two different locations right?

The other posts are literally mixing up Rogers Stadium with Rogers Centre.

What gives with the moderators at r/FoodToronto

Also, if you’re reading this, do you have any food recommendations north of Rogers Stadium (and not Rogers Centre).

Food Recommendations north of Rogers Stadium (the North York one)

I will be visiting the area this weekend. I will be staying at the Montecassino Hotel for an event. I may have limited time exploring the area but would love to try some food the area has to offer. Are there any food recommendations around the area that’s not McDonald’s?

Looking forward to my visit!

Vibes at Commandfests

Hello EDH players

What are the vibes at Commandfests?

I will be visiting Toronto and going to the Commandfest there. This will be my first Commandfest.

I’ve been to GPs of old and usually those are straight forward: bring your deck + sideboard and extra sleeves with it. I would bring water and lots of portable snacks just in case my rounds go for long. I would also bring my fancy basic lands in case I scrub out of day one (which I usually do).

I have an impression that Commandfests are less structured in a sense that they don’t go by rounds. Can I get away with not bringing food and just buying food from outside the venue?

For those who’s been to Commandfests, how many decks do you usually bring? Can I get away with Bracket 3 and precons? Are the side events worth it? Should I bring my trade binder? (Something I normally won’t do when I go at GPs or a large tournament). I will be there for all 3 days and hoping to be there from when the doors open and until they close.

Looking forward in hearing what experiences people had from when they went, along with the Dos and Don’ts.

Bloodletter of Aclazotz and Exsanguinate

Hello Judges,

I am currently in a commander pod. I have a [[Bloodletter of Aclazotz]] on the battlefield. I understand that if I cast [[Exsanguinate]] with X=5, my three opponents will each lose 10 life.

The question is, how much life am I gaining. Am I gaining 15 life (because X=5 and there are 3 players and because the Bloodletter damage effect is applied outside of Exsanguinate) or am I gaining 30 life (because X=5, which is doubled because of the Bloodletter of Aclazotz and there are 3 players)?

Thanks in advance

Tacos around Kensington market

My cousin from San Diego is visiting this weekend. We’re planning to hit Kensington Market and he really wants to check out the taco scene there.

What are your recommendations for tacos in the area? We’re planning to visit as many as we can but I don’t think we can visit all of them in a day.

Review for new and repackaged Ultra Pro Eclipses (for Magic/Pokemon TCG)

How are the new batches of these Ultra Pro Eclipses?

I’ve always used Eclipses as my sleeves and was saddened when they stopped. To my delight, I saw new batches of them though they’ve been repackaged.

I haven’t purchased them but what is the general consensus for the new batches? Are they similar to the old batches?

I personally don’t like Dragon Shields. I know they’re top quality but I find that don’t shuffle smoothly though that may be a user error thing.
