Free backing boards and polybags for people who do crafts / prints / comics / markets

Free backing boards and polybags for people who do crafts / prints / comics / markets

I haven't done conventions in years and am moving so I'm giving away these backing boards and bags I had for prints.

Pick up at 32-15 30th Street just to the left inside the entrance archway

11x17 inches

9x12 inches

A little over 50x of each size

At least 1mm thick

The bags are only for 9x12 but if you get bags for 11x17 they're not very expensive.

They're pretty heavy duty so I don't just want to throw them away. If you do prints or craft markets, etc. or if you have comics or other things of that size these would be great to protect them.

1BR Astoria takeover - Leaving May 31 - $2600

4th (top) floor

2 min walk to Broadway N station

$2600/month

(I think move in cost will be 3 months rent: 1st month, deposit, broker fee)

This is a takeover as I'm ending my lease, but you'll have your own new lease

Text me at: 646-397-0434

I'm leaving my apartment on May 31, so it'll be available first week of June or so. The maintenance guys will do refinishing of things like bathroom, paint, etc. so you'd just need to confirm your move in date with the landlords.

Tons of natural light and great view of Manhattan from windows.

I moved in 10 years ago in the same kind of lease takeover way, and they redid just about everything before I moved in except the refrigerator, which was replaced a couple years ago too.

Where can I list my apartment that I'm trying to move out of early?

I don't want to break my lease, but the brokers who are supposed to help find a new tenant don't seem to be doing enough. They haven't listed the actual unit on any of those rental sites. I don't think I can do that myself because I'm not a broker.

I'm not moving very far but I needed to move out earlier than my lease is supposed to end and I don't want to break the lease and lose my deposit, or have to pay for this apartment and the one I'm moving into.

I moved in here by taking over someone else's lease, but that was 10 years ago and the broker is different now. The landlords won't do anything and push everything to the brokers

I don't know if people still use Craigslist. I don't use facebook so I can't post it on there. I know it's against the rules to post it here.

Brushes not syncing to other device

I was able to set up CSP on a new tablet fairly easily, just by using "backup app settings" in clip studio and updating the settings on the tablet, to get everything I use on the desktop onto the tablet all at once.

But then I added a set of brushes I'm using for a project, and when I back up the desktop app where the brushes are, and update/restore the app settings + materials on the tablet, it'll download and update everything, but the brushes never show up.

It worked before, but it's not working now, anyone know why?

[TOMT] I thought it was called "The Little Boy Who Tried to Obey" but can't find it anywhere - very old story or fable

It's a kids story about a boy who's parents ask him to do things, but he keeps doing them wrong, and each time he gets scolded and corrected, but then he'll do that thing to the next request they have.

Example: They want him to bring milk home, but it's too hot, so they yell at him that he should've run the milk bottles under the stream to keep them cool on the way back. Then they ask him to get bread, and he follows their instruction for the milk, soaks the bread in the stream and ruins it.

And so on, with each thing they ask him to do.

Aside from the fact the parents should know to give him clearer instructions, I remember this book from when I was a kid in the 80's, and it might've been much older than that, since that seems like a boomer mentality to make it the kid's fault.

Recommendations for movers?

I'm going to be moving literally down the street at the end of the month, but I still need to find movers with a truck who can help with all my furniture.

I've searched this sub and couldn't find anything recent. Anyone have good recommendations? Preferably with reviews?

Is there a way to manually change the app a file is set to "open with"?

I just got a wacom movinkpad, which is an android tablet and comes with clip studio preinstalled.

I'm having some other issues opening and/or saving files in and out of dropbox, but my main issue is that .clip files don't even give me the option to open them with clip studio. They refer me to ibis paint, or nomad sculpt, neither of which are even compatible.

I would assume with clip studio already installed on the device, it would have given me that option to open any file, as it can open any image or video file, same as photoshop.

But to not even have the option to open its own files? There must be a way to manually set this in android.

Anyone know how to do this?

Just got a wacom movinkpad, can't open .clip files on it...

This is an android tablet, so I'm already struggling a bit with the file storage, as I manage ALL of my files in dropbox already, and it didn't seem like I could save directly to dropbox (like I heard was how it worked), even if I download a .clip file and tap on it, there's no option in the "open with" to open in clip studio

Another weird thing is even if I try to open something from my downloads folder, google's file system says it won't let me "for security reasons"

Is there a way around this? I'm guessing enough people are using clip studio with android they've found a way to do this.

I'm not going to use the clip studio cloud though, it will mess up my entire file management system.

I'm willing to try it out if I can possibly download a couple files and just reupload them to dropbox, but if I can't even open a .clip file on the device that comes with it preinstalled.....might have to return it

UPDATE: Just use this addon called "PopupOFF" and set it to "moderate" https://popupoff.org/

It'll remove that stupid popup and keep everything else. If you set it to "aggressive" it hides the navigation too, which you don't want. It's available for all browsers.

---

I guess "not now" means until I click something else.

I'm trying to figure out how to remove this popup with ublock origin, but when it appears it also blocks me from scrolling and I can't figure out how to change that so I can just use the site normally.

It's a fucking mood board website. I'm not giving them my phone number, especially because it says on the popup "this is to give you ads". FFS.

There's a video like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBGUO-WqMFY that I remember, and one of a kid smoking it at a park on a pic-a-nic bench and then having a seizure. It seemed like these videos were everywhere and then suddenly nothing.

Was that stuff actually as dangerous as they say? Was it made illegal? I remember it being sold in gas stations and middle school age kids were buying it. Why don't we hear about it anymore?
