Built a clean way to document GTI builds

Hey Golf GTI owners,

I shared this with the Golf R community about 5 months ago and figured I should show it to the GTI side too.

I built it because detailed builds always seem to end up scattered across Instagram posts, forum threads, notes, and old photos. It gives each car one permanent page for its mods, specs, wheel setup, photos, and history.

Here are two of the best-looking & documented GTIs on the platform so far!:

  • Jasmin, a 2015 GTI owned since new with 33 documented mods, an APR IS38+ Turbo, Airlift Performance Bags, and HRE FF21 wheels.
  • MK6 GTI K04 Turbo Daily OEM++, a 2012 GTI with 46 documented mods, a CTS K04 Turbocharger, HPA Motorsports coilovers, and a Stratified K04 Pro-tune.

There are more than 40+ Golfs documented so far. The app is FREE and I’m still working on it, so there may still be things that need fixing.

We launched 4 months ago, and owners have already added 1,900+ documented builds. Across the platform.

If you were documenting your GTI, what would you want the page to include?

Built a structured way to document G87 builds

Hey G87 owners,

We launched 5 months ago, and owners have already added 1,900+ documented builds. Across the platform, that now represents $70M+ in documented build value.

G87 builds can change quickly, but the details usually end up scattered across Instagram captions, forum threads, photo albums, spreadsheets, and old messages. That makes it difficult to see the complete setup or follow how a car has evolved.

So I built permanent, structured build pages where each owner can keep everything together:

  • Full modification list and exact specifications
  • Wheel, tire, suspension, and fitment details
  • Power figures and dyno results
  • Shops and clubs involved
  • Photos with modifications tagged directly on them
  • A build-history timeline for deliveries, installations, upgrades, repairs, and other milestones

Here are three G87 M2 builds currently documented:

Whether your G87 is stock, lightly modified, built for power, or still waiting for its first parts, you can create a page and keep the complete build organized as it develops.

I’d genuinely love feedback from G87 owners. What would you find most useful to compare across builds: wheel and suspension fitment, exact tune and fuel combinations, or long-term modification history?

Update: Built a structured way to document ZD8 builds

Hey BRZ owners,

Full disclosure: I’m affiliated with PinkSlips.

Almost 5 months ago, I shared an early version of this project here.

I wanted to come back and thank everyone who checked it out, signed up, asked questions, or left feedback. Those early conversations helped me understand what owners actually wanted from a proper build page.

The idea is still simple: every car gets one permanent page where the owner can document everything in one place, including:

  • Full modification list and exact specifications
  • Suspension, wheels, tires, and fitment
  • Dyno results and power-to-weight information
  • Shops involved and clubs you’re part of
  • Photos and videos from the build
  • Modification tags on photos showing where each part is installed
  • A complete timeline for purchases, upgrades, repairs, rebuilds, track days, and other milestones

Since that first post, the platform has grown to 1,900+ documented vehicles, including more than 60 BRZs. Across the platform, that now represents $70M+ in documented build value.

Here are 4 incredible BRZ builds currently documented:

If you’ve got a BRZ, whether it’s stock, a daily, a stance build, a weekend project, or a dedicated track car, you can create your own build page and keep everything organized instead of having it scattered across different apps, folders, posts, and old threads.

I’d genuinely love more feedback from BRZ owners. If there’s anything you would want documented, compared, or added specifically for BRZ builds, I’d love to hear it.

Thanks again to everyone who supported the project early on. ❤️

Built a clean way to document Golf builds

Hey Golf owners,

Four months ago, I shared this project with the Golf R community. The same documentation problem exists across every Golf generation, so here’s what it looks like with two bagged builds and a track-focused 20th Anniversary R.

The idea is simple: every car gets one permanent page where the owner can keep the full mod list, exact specs, wheel and suspension setup, involved shops, photos, and build history together.

There are now 1,900+ documented vehicles that includes 50+ Volkswagens, that now represents $70M+ in documented vehicles across the platform.

Here's 3 of the most documented Golf builds right now:

We're also expanding the track side for regular enthusiasts, telemetry, circuit maps, track-day history, personal-best progression, setup changes between sessions, and friendly leaderboards.

Not trying to build a pro racing league. Just somewhere useful if you take your car out and want to actually see your PBs move over time.

Golf owners, what would make this more useful for documenting your build: better fitment details, part revision history, shop records, or something else?

Update: Built a clean way to document Z builds

Hey Z owners,

A few months back I posted an early version of this here, thanks to the 2 redditors who've been here that help the project early on! <3

Since then it's grown to 1,800+ documented builds from owners around the world.

The idea is simple: every build gets one permanent page instead of being scattered across forum threads, IG posts and camera rolls. Mods, specs, wheel and suspension setup, verified dyno numbers, mod tagging directly on photos, clubs you run with, and the full build history in order.

Three RZ34s worth a look out of the 70+ Nissans on the platform, and they show three completely different directions it can hold:

We're also expanding the track side for regular enthusiasts, telemetry, circuit maps, track-day history, personal-best progression, setup changes between sessions, and friendly leaderboards.

Not trying to build a pro racing league. Just somewhere useful if you take your car out and want to actually see your PBs move over time.

If you've got a Z stock, weekend build, or a full track car you can make your own page and keep it all in one place.

Built a clean way to document NC builds

Hey NC owners,

I recently shared this project with the Miata ND community, and wanted to share it also to NC builds, I wanted to share it here too. Atm there are now 1,800 documented builds from enthusiasts around the world.

The idea is simple: every build gets one permanent build page where its owner can document everything in one place, including:

  • Complete mod lists and specifications
  • Suspension and wheel/tire setups
  • Dyno numbers and power-to-weight
  • Photos with installed parts tagged
  • Shops involved and clubs you belong to
  • Purchases, upgrades, rebuilds, track days, and other updates
  • A complete build history and timeline
  • Track videos with documented track numbers (even for hobbyist)

Here's one of the first Track Miata NC build documented on the platform so far out of the 50+ miatas

Kuro NC

Whether your NC is completely stock, a weekend project, or a dedicated track car, you can keep its entire story organized instead of having it scattered across different apps and posts.

I’d genuinely appreciate feedback from NC owners, especially about anything you’d want added for documenting your builds.

It's basically a platform where every build gets one permanent page for its mods, specs, wheel and suspension setup, verified dyno figures, mod tagging on photos, clubs involved, and complete build history.

We’re now expanding the track side for everyday enthusiasts, exploring telemetry, circuit maps, track-day history, personal-best progression, setup changes, and friendly leaderboards. It isn’t meant to be a professional racing league, just a useful place for people who enjoy tracking their cars and document their PBs.

Here's one of the best Track Miata ND documented on the platform so far out of the 50+ miatas

Built a structured way to document Blackwings

Hey Cadillac and V-Series owners,

Full disclosure: I’m affiliated with PinkSlips.

We launched four months ago, and owners have already documented 1,000+ real builds representing more than $70M in vehicles, parts and modifications.

The problem we’re trying to solve is simple: important build information gets scattered across forum threads, Instagram posts, invoices, camera rolls, notes and old conversations. Eventually, even the owner has to dig around to reconstruct the complete setup or remember what changed.

One permanent page can hold:

  • Factory specifications, options and collector details
  • Complete modification list
  • Engine, exhaust, tuning and cooling upgrades
  • Suspension, alignment and wheel-and-tire setup
  • Brake and aero configuration
  • Dyno results and power-to-weight figures
  • Track days, PDR footage, circuits and lap times
  • Maintenance history and setup changes
  • Photos with individual modifications tagged
  • Shops, clubs and people involved

Here’s a rare 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing , #62 of the first 250 produced already documented.

I’d genuinely appreciate blunt feedback from Cadillac owners. What else should a proper V-Series build record include, factory RPO codes, collector documentation, PDR sessions, alignment changes, tire pressures, maintenance intervals, driver notes or personal-best progression?

If you have a stock, modified, street or track-driven Cadillac, you can create a permanent page and keep its complete history together instead of letting it disappear across posts and folders.

The problem we’re trying to solve is simple: detailed builds end up scattered across forum threads, Instagram posts, notes, invoices, camera rolls, and old conversations. After a few years, even the owner has to dig around to remember the complete setup or what changed between track days.

For a Honda build, one permanent page can hold:

  • Full mod list and specifications
  • Suspension, alignment, and wheel/tire setup
  • Engine, cooling, brakes, aero, and weight reduction
  • Power-to-weight and dyno numbers
  • Track days, circuits, lap times, and top speeds
  • Photos with individual mods tagged

Built a structured way to document RWB builds

I’m affiliated with PinkSlips and work on the platform.

We launched four months ago, and already have 1000+ live documented builds.

The idea came from seeing detailed builds scattered across forum threads, invoices, Instagram posts, notes, and photo galleries. After a few years, even the owner has to dig around to remember the complete setup and how it evolved.

For RWB owners and enthusiasts, what should a proper RWB record include?

Build name and date? Original chassis? Builder and location? Bodywork configuration? Wheel and tire specifications? Suspension and alignment? Paint or livery history? Engine setup? Changes made after the original conversion?

Here’s a documented 1986 Porsche 911 RWB for context:
https://pinkslips.app/tanuki/porsche-911-1986

I’d genuinely appreciate blunt feedback on what’s missing, unnecessary, or could be organized better.

If you already have a build, street car, track car, or something evolving over time, you can create a page and keep everything in one place instead of buried across posts, notes, and folders.

Would love feedback from 911 users, especially what you’d want tracked or shown on a proper build page.

Built a structured way to document Classic Mustang builds

I’m a developer and longtime car enthusiast, and I kept running into the same problem with detailed builds.

Over time, mod lists end up scattered across forum threads, IG captions, notes, and old posts. After a few years even the owner has to dig just to remember everything that’s been done.

So I built a structured build page system where each car has one permanent page that holds:

• Full mod list
• Exact specs
• Suspension & wheel setup
• Power-to-weight
• Dyno numbers
• Shops involved
• Clubs you're into
• Organized gallery
• Build updates over time

There are already 1000+ real owner builds live including a few classics across different countries with different setups.

Here's a properly documented 1965 Ford Mustang .

If you already have a build, track, street, or something you’re slowly modifying, you can create a page for it and keep track of the full spec and build history over time.

Would genuinely love feedback from Classic car owners on what would make this more useful for your builds.
