They raised the price, yet the experience is as terrible as ever. Having to relaunch the app a dozen times a day is unbelievable
I got student pricing but even 9 bucks per month feels steep for that crappy experience
or if an actual dev wants to give us any cool clues :)

it's a real pain to use that service, and it's been the case for a while, only gets worse.
no auto switch to downloads, switching between cloud and local takes ages, having several gb of downloaded songs leads to a slower experience, search isn't comprehensive, songs pause every so often and you have to reload/force quit, album art disappears.
a lot of people get the wrong lyrics for their songs, too. it feels all over the place and i'd be curious to see the state of their backend.
it seems the way they want to maintain a constant connexion doesn't handle interferences very well.
all of this is on iOS, but i've had issues with android as well.
on a positive note, the app improved a LOT in the past 8 months with tons of new features, better UI, improvements in tons of areas. the structure is just bad. but I doubt they'll actually work on that.
im not sure i remember right but I think there used to be a setting to handle of many songs you want downloads, what quality, and smart downloads
was that only on youtube.app?
so the only way to download is to do so manually?
During a search you could either go global or inside of library/downloads. They removed the option today it seems?
