Surfilmusic feels like we're flipping through an old photo album or notebook filled with ideas, sketches, and melodies.
A thoughtful review of Surfilmusic.

Excellent Eggy show last night in Portsmouth, NH.
Would it make sense to restrict buyers on RSD to 2 vinyl albums per purchase. If they want more they would need to exit the store and get in the back of the line. I think this would be one way to discourage the flippers who line up early, buy all the highly desirable vinyl, then head home to flip them on Discogs.
This would at least give the people that are in line an actual shot at buying what they’re looking for and take it home and listen to it and love it.
Born To Kill, the new album by Social Distortion carries that same emotional weight that has made Social Distortion feel less like a band and more like the story of your life.
Their new album, Twice As Nice is a hybrid mixture of rock, funk, and a jam band all tied up in one.
Randomly ran into Jon Bon Jovi at Rough Trade in London in October last year. He was such a nice guy. Signed a copy of Forever(Legendary Edition) for me. The collaborations on this album are great.
“Anne” on the 2004 album Curtains is so beautiful.
I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that the Dunlop Tortex lime green pick is the most popular pick of all-time. Am I right?
Besides anything by Taylor Swift, what do you think have been the most sought after RSD releases since this whole thing started? What album was most people trying to get—it could be during any RSD event.

Record Store Day was originally conceived as a way to drive foot traffic to local music shops during the rise of the digital music era.
My feeling is, we need more events during the year to keep the momentum going rather than just one day. What other serious ideas would make sense?
I generally like many genres of music, but I just can’t get into Geese. I don’t get them at all. The singers voice throws me off.
But then on the flip side, I dig the jam band Goose.
Who do you prefer, and why?
Not sure how many of you were able to score a copy of the Jimi Hendrix - Valley of Jams via Third Man Records, but the track Slow Version might be a new favorite. A fuzz-tastic instrumental. 🔥
Peaches is a genuine blues rock album that showcases the band’s ability to create punchy covers of tracks from the past with the raw grit that they are known for.
I was very surprised by how good their debut album was. Not sure if anyone else have given it a full listen yet.
