Health Insurance Porting – Which Plan?

Planning to port my Star Health policy. Advisor suggested Niva Bupa ReAssure 3.0, ICICI Elevate, Care Supreme and Tata AIG.

We have some pre-existing medical/surgical history, so advisor says 20–30% loading may apply and final approval depends on underwriting.

Before proceeding, what should I specifically clarify with the advisor regarding

Looking for advice from people who have actually ported with PEDs.

Is it a good idea to take a ₹30 lakh PNB plot + construction loan and close it within 3 years?

My friend is planning to purchase a plot and take a PNB home loan of around ₹30 lakh, including future house construction.

The plan is to purchase the land now and close the entire loan within 3 years, before starting the house construction.

The main reason is that PNB offers a relatively low interest rate, so he is thinking of using the loan to buy the land now and repay it quickly.

Is this a good strategy, or would it be better to save money and purchase the plot without a loan?

Also, are there any issues or penalties if the house construction is not started/completed within the required period? Looking for advice from anyone who has taken a similar PNB plot + construction loan.

₹10 lakh spent on infertility treatment this FY — is there any way to save/recover the tax I’m paying?

My package is around ₹13 lakh per annum, and around ₹87,000 tax is being paid/deducted this year.

This year has completely broken me financially. Due to infertility treatment, we have already spent around ₹10 lakh in FY 2026–27, and the treatment is still ongoing. We may have to spend a lot more.

After treatment expenses, whatever little is left goes toward rent, family expenses and supporting my parents every month. Now I’m literally sitting with almost zero savings.

Emotionally and financially, this is becoming extremely difficult. We never expected infertility treatment to consume almost everything we earn.

Is there any legal way to claim any tax benefit for IVF/infertility treatment expenses during the current financial year, or reduce the tax burden/TDS going forward?

I’m not looking for any illegal workaround. I just want to know if there is any genuine provision, deduction, reimbursement, or tax-saving option that I may be missing.

If anyone has personally gone through this, please guide me. Even saving a small amount would make a huge difference to us right now.

One ovary – 3rd IVF cycle and feeling devastated

We are on our 3rd IVF cycle and feeling extremely emotional right now.

I have DOR (AMH 1, FSH 10), only one ovary, and both tubes are absent.

1st IVF: 3 eggs → 2 blastocysts → failed. 2nd IVF: 5 eggs → 2 blastocysts → pregnancy, but sadly miscarried around the 45th day.

This cycle, baseline scan showed around 10 follicles, which gave us so much hope. But by day 6, only 2 follicles are growing.

We are really heartbroken and scared that this cycle may also not work.

Anyone with DOR and one ovary who had a similar experience? Did your follicles catch up later, or did changing the protocol help?

Can I recharge multiple ₹979 Airtel Unlimited 5G packs on the same number?

I’m planning to recharge the ₹979 Airtel Unlimited 5G plan multiple times on the same number.

If I recharge ₹979 × 2 or × 3, will all the packs get activated at the same time, or will the additional recharges be queued/stacked and activate after the current 84-day validity expires?

I’m mainly worried about losing the extra recharges.

Has anyone actually tried stacking multiple ₹979 plans recently? What happens to the validity and Unlimited 5G benefit?

₹3L hospital bill – HSBC Live+ vs Kiwi + best way to repay CC bill?

I have a roughly ₹3 lakh hospital bill (infertility treatment) coming up.

  1. HSBC Live+ – 1.5% unlimited cashback on eligible spends. Apart from the cashback, are there any additional benefits/offers that make it better for a large hospital payment?

  2. Kiwi – 2% unlimited cashback. Is Kiwi clearly better for this transaction, assuming the hospital accepts both?

Also, after paying the credit card bill, what’s the best way to repay it for additional rewards/cashback?

Any debit card/UPI/account combination that gives cashback for credit-card bill payments?

Looking for the most efficient way to do the ₹3L payment.

Home theatre suggestions around ₹15k?

I'm planning to buy my first home theatre and have shortlisted the Sony HT-S20R, which is available for around ₹14,000 during the sale.

However, I came across several reviews mentioning that the bass output is underwhelming, so now I'm a bit confused.

My budget is around ₹15,000 (can stretch slightly if it's really worth it).

My main priorities:

  • Movies & OTT (30%)
  • Music (70%)
  • Strong bass
  • Good dialogue clarity
  • Reliable brand and after-sales support

Are there any better options than the Sony HT-S20R in this price range? If you're using one, please share your real-world experience and recommendations.

CB350RS Owners – Let's Request Honda to Review the H'ness Front Mudguard Price

Many CB350RS owners upgrade to the H'ness front mudguard because it provides much better protection during the rainy season. Unfortunately, the price has reportedly increased from around ₹3,300 to almost double, making a simple upgrade unnecessarily expensive.

If you also feel this price increase is unfair, please take just 1 minute to send a polite email to Honda Customer Care at customercare@honda.hmsi.in.

The more genuine customer feedback Honda receives, the more likely they are to review the pricing. One email may not make a difference, but hundreds of respectful emails from actual owners might.

Let's show our unity as the CB350RS community and request a fair price for this genuine Honda part.

First bike - CB350RS owner. Need beginner tips & must-have accessories.

Recently bought a Honda CB350RS. This is my first bike, so I'm completely new to maintenance.

Current issues:

  • Pillion seat is very hard (using OEM seat cover)
  • Need a ladies footrest
  • Not sure where to safely keep RC/insurance papers
  • Planning to install a front mudguard extender

Any other must-have accessories you'd recommend?

Also, how do you maintain your CB350RS on a budget?

  • Chain cleaning & lubrication frequency
  • Rust prevention
  • Keeping the bike shiny
  • Washing tips
  • Products you actually use (budget-friendly)

Would appreciate any beginner tips or mistakes I should avoid. Thanks!

Final IVF Cycle – High DFI & Varicocele. Need advice.

Hi everyone,

This will be our last IVF cycle, and we want to make the best decision.

Our history:

  • Dermoid cyst surgery (one ovary removed).
  • IUI failed.
  • First IVF resulted in an ectopic pregnancy (one fallopian tube removed).
  • Last pregnancy ended with a corpus luteum rupture, emergency surgery, and a miscarriage one week later.
  • My wife now has low 1 AMH, 17 FSH, so we're expecting only 5–6 mature eggs.
  • Our doctor recommends not delaying IVF for varicocele surgery.

My reports:

  • Bilateral varicocele: Grade 4 (left), Grade 3 (right)
  • Count: 41 million/mL
  • Motility: 59%
  • Morphology: 25%
  • DFI: 36% (high)
  • ROS: High
  • Mitochondrial ROS: High

I'm currently taking L-Carnitine (Maxoza-L) and Fertisure-M.

Our hospital doesn't offer ZyMot. The current plan is to check my semen sample at the start of the cycle. If it's good, proceed with IVF; otherwise, use ICSI on egg retrieval day.

Since we have about 30 days before IVF, is there anything else I can do to improve sperm quality or reduce DNA fragmentation? Has anyone seen better results with lifestyle changes, supplements, or a specific abstinence period before giving the sample?

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone with similar DFI/varicocele results. Since this is our final cycle, we want to make the best possible decision.

Honda BigWing ruined my first CB350RS buying experience. Need advice.

Title: Honda BigWing ruined my first CB350RS buying experience. Need advice.

Last Saturday I paid the full amount for my Honda CB350RS.

- Ex-showroom: ₹2,01,248

- Road Tax & Registration: ₹25,200

- Insurance (quoted): ₹11,729

- Accessories: ₹3,150 ( seat cover, mud guard extender, bumper)

Since then, it's been one issue after another.

- They forgot to deduct my ₹5,000 booking advance from the final payment. When I pointed it out, they first tried to push extra accessories instead of refunding it.

- Registration was promised for Thursday, but it's now postponed to Monday.

- Mudguard extender and crash guard were out of stock after taking payment.

The biggest issue was the insurance.

The quotation showed ₹11,729 for insurance, but the actual policy is only ₹9,628. The remaining ₹2,100 was used for "Brisk Assistant" without informing me or taking my consent. I had clearly asked for RTI, Engine Protection, and Consumables, but none of them were included.

Now they're saying Brisk Assistant is "mandatory" and removing it may delay registration because the papers are already submitted.

Honestly, this has completely ruined the excitement of buying my first new bike. No transparency, hidden charges, repeated delays, and I still haven't even received my invoice
