The first two seasons are such a time capsule of the late 2000s it’s great

flip phones/Sidekicks, digital cameras, 2000s hair and fashion Dylan with the late 2000s emo teen look

characters watching movies on DVDs, characters reading magazines and newspapers,

mentions of lady Gaga, kobe Bryant and other celebrities of the time

it’s honestly such a great time capsule looking back

What’s your thoughts on the 90s middle part hair resurgence with teenage and 20 something Gen Z guys?

I have so many young white dudes with this look since 2019 especially since 2022

Did the last two years of the 90s have a different feel and culture to them compared to the rest of the 90s?

I have always heard from Gen Xers that 1998 and 1999 felt very different and removed from the rest of the 90s

and that it felt much more like the 2000s than the rest of the 90s

due to stuff like Brittany spears, Christina Aguilera, Mandy Moore spice girls, Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, bands like smash Mouth, sum 41, and blink 182, limp bizkit topping the charts

Tim Duncan and the spurs, followed by Kobe and Shaq all winning their first titles which would pretty kick off the early 2000s era of the nba

shinny y2k aesthetics all over the place

the Sega Dreamcast followed right by the PS2 coming out pretty kicked off the beginning of the 6th generation of gaming spiky hair and frosted tips were very popular by this point etc

Is it just me or do people not decorate their houses for Halloween and Christmas anymore like they used too?

I’m a Gen Z guy in my early 20s but even when I was growing up in the late 2000s and early 2010s into the mid 2010s people used to go all out on decorating their houses for Christmas and Halloween

people would even start early just to have their houses completely set up and decorated for Halloween and Christmas by October and December respectively

like you knew that Christmas was around the corner just by seeing people’s houses completely decorated and set up it seems less and less people are decorating less and not going all out l they used too
