So is it possible to become good on one’s own or does one needs a teacher necessarily? Or at least online lessons? Watch YouTube? Ir 100% self taught can be done with practice

What’s your experience

Is it me or is 2026 feeling like the internet in 1996 but AI wise.. like I know it began before but only now I feel is "finally" here.

Probably just me though 😂

Can a person vibe code their way out of a 9 -5 these days? Let's say creating the next angry birds with no knowledge of coding using Claude. Or an app that sells like pancakes. How realistic is this?

What about creating a movie that then a studio distributes? Where in the future are we exactly?

What you all think of completely AI generated movies? I looked at some shorts and I'm conflicted.

For one part, people can basically become Hollywood producers at a fraction of the cost and time.

The characters on a movie are usually fictional (unless a documentary of course) so what is the big deal then?

Well, for me is about the actors.. I like knowing that even though I am seeing a character and for the whole movie I am not seeing the actor but the character, I still feel drawn to know that "behind" the character, there's an actor, someone actually thinking and feeling you know? Even if things unknown to me and unrelated to the character.

On paper this shouldn't matter, it's still a fictional character no? But it seems to matter to me.

The same way that if I really think about it, even an AI generated comic book with fictional characters shouldn't be much different than one written and drawn by a human no? Yet.. I like knowing someone was having actual emotions while making it. The comic becomes alive then, same way that a movie with actors vs an AI generated one.

Now if it's a movie with robots as characters only I may think it shouldn't matter or not as much if it was done on a studio or with AI.. it still would as I would still feel the human touch behind the scenes imo, but particularly with Human characters I can't help but to feel like I don't really wanna watch it, perhaps only to get ideas but not as "the real thing".

The moment the AI gets so good it can fool me thinking those were actual humans then I may enjoy it the same but at the same time that's a scary thought! Isn't it?

What you all think, I've been warming up to the whole AI thing, some content is cool etc but at the same time I still think it will always feel empty, again, as long one knows it's AI at least! But if/when one doesn't and potentially feels exactly as the real thing for it we would be entering a 1984 kind of thing with O'Brian on the room with us wouldn't we?

Anyone else NOT ready to keep providing free day care services to parents? I wonder how some are holding up at home. One month left! Summer is going fast! 😩

Mostly directed to teachers with no children I suppose ;)

Mephistopheles has arrived, I had to divorce cause my wife wouldn’t have it but totally worth it!

I will miss her but she didn’t like the actual shrine with candles and all right at the entrance.

Are all the instagram commentaries on stories and random stuff that pops up now entirely written by AI? I am starting to hate it, I rather a human writes “It’s a badass movie, Google about it”

Than AI going @ “X is a movie groundbreaking movie that bla bla bla bla” it may even be well written and have interesting facts yet still feels empty or like why people don’t write their own anymore? I won’t lose sleep but felt like complaining about it haha

Are all these pages made by bots too? Like some dude writes an algorithm that will keep posting random stories or something and eventually gets money from sponsors if they have traffic? The dead internet theory may be true!

On the upside if the internet becomes dull due AI perhaps a better away from our phones era like in the 90’s may start!

Doe it bother anyone else or am I dying on this hill alone? 😂

How many hours a day do you work? How many songs do you produce in 6 months?

How many hours a day do you work? How many songs do you produce in 6 months? Honestly, the 128 characters thing in order to ask one discussion question hurts the sub, imo. Just let us ask.

Have your hands gotten used to it? Love the phone and I don’t even have small hands but sometimes I still think Apple over did it a bit! 😅

Still a great phone though! I am debating whether to upgrade to the 18 or not when it comes

Do you usually leave a lot of saves of the file on your computer? Or just erase 90% or 100% of it? It’s crazy the amount of saves ones gotta do

How come first world problems still hurt and are stressful?

I am aware that what is stressing me out feels like mockery to what used to stress me, and yet I am as stressed if not more!

What would be the difference between "PGW tint tempered" and "VITRO tint tempered"? Original glass was PGW. I got it changed supposedly to an OEM but says VITRO and while quite minimal distortion this time, there's still some, whereas the PGW has none at all.

This is for a Ford Mustang Coupe 2018, driver's side

I imagine there's no "fake OEM"? Like Just placing a sticker there?

I will probably buy the glass myself if I ever need again in the future. This was after a break in at my apartment complex where 15+ cars ended up with shattered glass.

Thanks in advance.

Is $220 extra after paying $275 already (with fees & tax) for a backjob in which I requested changing the glass they installed (that has a lot of visual distortion) for an OEM too much? I can see I could have gotten shipped an OEM for $235

He says he's not charging me for the installation this time ( driver’s window). The facts:

1.- He will keep the old glass which I assume he can still make profit with or be refunded

2.- I will end up paying $500+

I would think if the glass is, say almost $400 according to him, and I already paid $275 or so then I would just pay around $120 more no? Not sure where the extra $100 came from..

I am of course angry at the the stupids that did the break in but I thought I'd ask if you think is fair? It is $100 more than he originally told me and I see the OEM glass is not that expensive (more around $300 than $400 shopping around) so there's that. A lot less when used of course.

If I add the dent repair on my door is gonna be like $800 what the stupids gonna end up costing me. They didn't even took anything.

Anyway, please refrain from "then do it yourself" non sense as possible, is just cringe. I'm just asking if for a backjob in which customer paid $245 + fee and you offered warranty and after he tells you the visual distortion is bad and now wants an OEM glass and says he can pay the difference and after you getting the OEM it costs you let's say $375 (Assuming it's new here!) YOU would charge them $220 (+ fees I suppose) after honoring whatever warranty you told them.

Thank you for reading. I'm evidently a neophyte regarding cars. Thank you in advance. I already accepted his deal so I'm just curious.
