What’s the reason why when on playback and looping sometimes one gets red numbers (+0.1 dB etc) and other times one doesn’t? Seems dependent on where I start the song and other times how many times I’ve looped.

Other times I think is related to transients. It’s been driving me nuts lol.

I’ll research but I’ll figure I ask here as part of said research ;)

Thanks in advance!

Explain “sends” as if I’m 8 years old? I thought I had it but now im not sure. Do the order of sends matter? I thought what matters is “output” as jn “output to the bus”. I turn different sends on and off and nothing seems to happen?

And yes I’ll read the manual but is not as fun as asking here now is it? ;)

Edit* Some great answers and a lot of food for thought and implications on “sends” to consider .

Thank you all!

Aren’t tracks and channels the same? I got a question about tracks on the reds and got replies don’t matter but the channels may? Do channels on red matter or only the Stereo Out?

Do you usually make sure absolutely nothing on the mix is on the reds? Not a track? A bus? Does it matter or do all that matters are the peaks on the Stereo Output?

I am wondering if leaving peaks on tracks is fine as long as the stereo has no peaks. Is there a consensus? If there’s peaks. Is a clipper plugin more recommended than a limiter? Or saturation? Compression? Thank you in advance.

I imagine stained teeth are not a given? I'd hate to have to quit due it. And don't really want to use a straw. You guys don't have that issue?

Wondering, I've heard drinking water immediately but not sure that's an as easy to adopt habit.

From the DentalHygiene community on Reddit: Doesn't having a cleaning is worse for the teeth? Like scratching and scratching and just weakens it? And then bacteria enters?

You all have my compassion for this speech impediment BS. I occasionally stutter and fuck this already at this stage of my life.

Respect to all of you.

That's all. Carry on.

I am assuming here that most here are rushing evrytime to work and even appointments for more pleasant things? Like no matter what, seems getting late it's what's written?

My mom was and is almost always late, and I wonder if it's something I learned but I'm not that young anymore and try not to be or blame it on someone else, mentioning for whatever might be worth for whatever context as I suspect I'm not the only one whose at least one parent is similar.

I don't think this makes anybody less efficient on anything either, like at all (let's say 5 to 10 minutes late for important things like clocking in at work), and if I was hiring people, for me is more important that they show up at all and do a good job once they're here and be on time when actual work starts not so much the clocking in. Still I would like to know of anyone managed to not be late and what did you actually do?
Thank you in advance!

With the advent of the internet I already had my doubts but now with all the "AI" madness and AI "music" and whatnot is all so depressing that I've decided not to reincarnate no more. Who else feels this way?

We had good times in Ancient Egypt, Ancient Rome, Feudal Japan, The Wild West, Even 1920 and up to 1999 (very early internet was just awesome, before social media etc) Humanity was not without hardships but always fun no?

Then suddenly there's "AI music" , where even is humanity heading to? I'm not reincarnatin no more y'all.

Maybe as a well taken care of house cat.

It’s passing now but what do you guys do when it REALLY hits and you live alone and can’t really talk with anyone and realize Reddit is not really a substitute for people?

I won’t take any more SSRIs as they just messed my body’s chemistry really bad, apparently so I haven’t touched that in years.

Is not easy to remember that the feeling will pass when it comes!

Multipressor appreciation thread. Who uses it on 2026? Me, I do.

Yes, I imagine the FabFilter is really nice but it's friggin $200 most of the year.

Multipressor is love, multipressor is Life.

Put it on vocals and profit, put it on buses, put it on drums, put it on bass, put it on guitars, put it on the Master, put it on your sammich.

Long live Multipressor.

What is something obvious in music production that you realized time after but that has hastened your workflow?

Cause I think after some years, I finally learned how to properly use an EQ and it’s like the secret sauce that I was missing I swear to the spirit with a sense of humor.

If you don’t make a living out of music production, about how many hours a day you work?

Assuming this question is fine and allowed here of course

Help me with the vocals, what's the secret sauce? How to make em sound recorded in a studio and not home made? Compressors? And how you “bury” them in the mix? Just EQ?

Izotope Nectar?
CLA vocals?

Compressors? Echo boy? Reverbs? Air plugins?

What do you use?

Thanks in advance
