Is it mandatory to write an essay?

Thinking of taking the HiSET wondering if writing an essay is necessary to pass if so how many points do you need? Been hearing different things some people say 2 others say 4.

I only ask because it seems a lot of people that take the GED say you can skip the essay part of the LA test and still have enough points to pass.

Any reason you guys are doing the GED instead of the HiSET?

SO was thinking of trying to get my GED for years. However my account has been banned from online testing from trying to take it online in Florida. I can't leave my home and trying to get my diploma.

So feel like HiSET is now my only option since I can take it online. Wondering if there's any downsides to this. Do jobs and employers look down more on the HiSET than the GED?

edit -> Well never mind seems the HiSET isn't even available in Florida...

Wondering what lube you guys use that's 100 % silicone

Been using the Sole branded lubricant for my F63 but it's around 15 bucks for a 2oz bottle so it's kinda adding up. I got the go ahead that using a 3rd party lubricant won't void my warranty it just has to be 100% silicone lubricant (preferably in gel form).

So wondering what you guys recommend. I see some big bottles on amazon for decent prices kinda hard deciding on which one to get.

Few week old F63 treadmill noise belt and motor

Can I get some advice, wondering if this is a problem or not. My Sole F63 is a few weeks old. After lubing up my deck I can hear the belt before it was silent now it sounds like there's friction or it's rubbing against something.

Also notice every time I step down it sounds like the motor is stopping doesn't really feel like it stops but sounds like it.

I tried adjusting the belt making is looser and tightening it but nothing helps sorta at a loss of what to do could use some advice.

I'm just a little concerned the treadmill was basically silent and now it's making this noise.

How is a residential IP VPN different from regular VPNS?

Trying to figure out if a residential VPN suites my needs and how it's different from a normal VPN like ProtonVPN or PrivateInternetAccess.

I want to take my GED online but in Florida it's not allowed to be taken online it's in person testing only. If I change my location on the website it will allow me to take the test online.

However the proctor software they use for the GED Pearson VUE says no VPNS and they check your IP address VPN use etc.

I know a standard VPN will 100% fail as it looks like it's coming from a big data center and not a local att, Comcast home internet IP. Would a residential IP VPN make it look like it's a stock Internet provider like att, comcast etc?

Does changing FL address online to GA etc still work for online testing?

I live in Florida due to some disabilities can't go and take the test in person and in Florida you can't take it online. Was reading you can change your address on the GED website to a place where online testing is allowed.

So I did and It looks like I can take it online but I have to do all the practice tests over first (green tests). However after reading about the proctor software it checks your IP address. So once it sees I'm in Florida won't it stop the test or flag my account?

I'm reading so much conflicting information online that it works that it doesn't can someone give me a straight answer so I'm not wasting my time studying for no reason?

I would use a VPN but said the pearsonvue proctor software checks for them. Plus of course my ID has a FL address but on the GED website changed it to a GA address. So guess that's another flag?

How does a 2nd opinion work?

So I've been diagnosed officially with schizophrenia and depression with psychotic features. I don't agree with these diagnosis's. If I get a 2nd opinion with a different phycologist would the previous diagnosis's still be on my record or follow me around officially?

I'm only asking because these diagnosis's are a deal breaker for a job I want and if getting a 2nd opinion would get them off my record that's something I want to try to do.

Could use some advice. Thank you

Those that seek therapy etc how did you find doctors you can see in person?

I've been trying to find a phycologist I can see in person and not via Telehealth as it seems every person I find only does. Is there any website or something that will let me search for phycologist in the Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Broward county area that do in person sessions and take medicare?

Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask been looking for a few days and sorta at a loss of what to do at this point. Seems like 99% only offer Telehealth and the 1% that offer in person sessions charge an obscene amount of money.

Looking for a place to have a casual conversation with people with mental health issues

Hi wondering if there's a subreddit like casual conversation but for people with mental health issues. Where we could PM or just converse on the post itself about or problems maybe help each other out?

Mailed in papers but have a deadline of august 1st anything I can do?

Mailed in forms 827 and ssa- 454-bk last week. The paper mailed to me which seemed to have taken 3 weeks to receive said I had an august 1st deadline.

I called a few days ago to my local office and they said they haven't gotten to or received it. Although the tracking number said it was handed to someone directly.

Unsure what or if I can do anything at this point. It doesn't look like it'll be scanned in before august 1st will my SSDI DAC benefits stop?

I tried asking the rep I was speaking to but couldn't really understand her.

What to use for gym flooring besides stall mats?

I purchased a few stall mats from TSC after people recommending them but they smell and in my small indoor space with almost 0 ventilation were I spend most of the day working and studying it's unbearable especially after reading about vocs and formaldehyde off gassing.

The mats I got are .75in thick so looking for the same thickness to put under my power rack and treadmill.

Do you ever tip your drivers?

I have some workout equipment coming maybe 300lbs between last week and this week. Told him I’d help on the instructions but think he uses a dolly. Anyway wondering if I should tip him. I don’t have cash but could print out an Amazon gift card or something like that.

Am I rucking wrong collarbone and upper shoulder soreness?

Did my first few rucks coming from being bed bound. Just a 20 pounder with my 5.0 ruck pack.

I don’t know if I’m doing it wrong. My collarbone and upper shoulders are sore kinda just wondering if this is normal.

When I put the pack on make the straps as tight as possible don’t know if that’s how you do it or keep it kinda loose.

Should also note I’m kinda skinny up top after losing 100+ pounds so I know I lost a lot of cushioning so don’t know if that’s a factor.

Last question do you lean forward when rucking a little or always keep your back straight?

Need help understanding my weight plates and what bar I need a standard bar or olympic 2in

So building my home gym back up. I have these weight plates that I think are 2 inches that would be for an Olympic bar but ChatGPT says they’re 1 inch plates and wouldn’t be compatible.

Can anyone confirm if these will fit on an olympic barbell? They look like 2 inches to me but maybe I’m just overcompensating.

I have these other plates that look like 1 inch that have their own bar so I don’t know.

Sole + only tracking one workout per day and not the rest is this normal?

I already contacted sole but figured I might get a faster answer here. I purchased a F63 a few weeks ago. Been using it with Sole + on my iPhone to keep track of my workouts.

This week I've been doing two workouts morning and night. It seems the sole app doesn't track my second workouts at night is this normal? Kinda seems like a bug or something because I'm sure people workout more than 2 times a day. Kinda a bummer I lost all my night workouts.

How long does it usually take to hear back from SSA from a SSA-454-BK form?

Mailed in my forms a few days ago SS office should get them Monday. Wondering how long the process usually takes to hear back if my benefits will continue or they will cease. Does it take weeks, months I'm just an anxious person and everyday I don't hear anything it gets worse.

Last time I filled out this form it took less than 2 weeks for them to stop my benefits and make me see a CE and a whole bunch of other stuff. Eventually they were reinstated but it was a hellish battle that shouldn't be necessary.

TLDR Is 1 or 2 weeks the standard or is it longer?
