Recommend a game thats as big and deep as Elden Ring, but not Elden Ring

Souls like or otherwise.

Thanks

PS, not Baldurs Gate 3, Rogue Trader or Wrath of the Righteous :D

Any tips? I'm finding this a rough start!

I love Borderlands. But this is not off to a good start. Already had one side quest glitch out (meat is murder). I'm struggling to find a decent controller setting that's not simultaneously too swingy and too slow. The default setting was like treacle!

I've got the base set up with Claptrp right at the start and i'm making my way to the next main mission (a LONG trek). They don't give you a vehicle right away which is a mistake IMO. This particular region looks kinda dull too. There's lots to do and it's good content, but not easy. But Borderlands always had a grotty look to the regions. Not some pastoral farmland! WTF is that about?

I'm playing Vex, was using her summons but am switching to her direct attack skill when the game lets me respec.

The grapple is neat, except there seem to be so few points to spawn and you have to get really close to trigger the prompt.

Can you win without combat? (Console version, if that matters)

I mean, can you?

Thanks

Now stay thy blade....I said stay!

Is it worth persisting with the console version?

I have it on gamepass and i'm trying to learn it. I don't think it's a bad game at all, so this isn't a criticism. But i have heard a lot about it being buggy especially late game, and that it's not up to date with the PC version, maybe not ever. Ultimately, is it worth persisting or even purchasing? Which I was considering. Thanks

Game is advising me to attack Leon from Montaigu

Not really sure how or why.

I've started a game as the count of Montaigu in 876 and one of the things it's suggesting is that I attack Leon which is miles away with land between. I don't really understand why, or how I'd do this, or what casus belli I can have given that it's a completely different realm.

XBOX Version, FPS Dips. Is this a known thing?

Was really enjoying the tutorial having downloaded from gamepass. Was consdering a purchase, but got to the point where, having just learned how to set up my town and build a basic army, i send that army over to the enemy, the fps stuttered. This happened when I got to the enemy base and moved cursor over it.

Is this common? It was only a small army so I'm concerned as I'd like to purchase this (it's on sale!)

Thanks

Mission 1....died before i got to the first building, killed by a drone.

Mission 2....with 2 others, got ambushed.

Mission 3...first successful exfil. Sad the 2 others on my team didn't pay attention to the HUD and went the wrong way, ended up in a firefight with other raiders, I successfully made it back to town listening to the gunfire on my headset.

Good times

I loved the original.

Have played some of the base game on game pass (xbox)

The Premium version is on sale which has everthing.

But I couldn't find a tutorial for the controls.

Thoughts on this gem on the console specifically?? Assuming this isn't a PC only forum

I was sure it's an AoE game, but apparently not.

It was set, iirc, in the New World. You played a settler from euprope establishing a colony. You had a screen that represented a dock where you could import supplies from the old world.

That's all I got. But it's not AoE 4 I don't think. Been ages since I played anything on the PC (i'm on xbox right now)
