It's been a very productive weekend! The only film I had seen in the franchise is the first one, and I remedied that this weekend. :)

Please help me determine if this is trafficking.

I want to start off by saying I know nothing about this website. I found this post on r/hammondcollection and got a really bad feeling about it. First off, the descriptors for the figure make absolutely zero sense. The figure is NOT all brown, it's NOT 44cm long (it's 68), and the word preemie to describe it makes me wonder if something terrible is actually being sold here.

If anyone knows what website this is, I would really appreciate any insight. Thank you.

My Deinosuchus enclosure WIP! I haven't even started with any of the foliage, trees, landscaping, or anything inside the actual enclosure, but I am so excited for it to be finished!

Regardless of how you feel about these movies (I love them), what Giacchino did with this trilogy is so so great, and unfortunately overlooked. Read more below.

I am a HUGE fan of when a franchise or series has a strong and consistent musical identity. As much as I love the MCU, the musical scores have usually never been their strongest suit. Please tell me why Thor has had FOUR DIFFERENT THEMES?! There is zero musical consistency. With this trilogy, hearing the themes evolve (haha) as the movies went on was such a treat as a huge fan of musical scores. These three films don't overuse or abuse the original themes either; they use them when they feel it's appropriate, and it always works.

The Indominus theme, Indoraptor, Maisie, Biosyn, Malta, Giganotosaurus, and the overall main theme throughout are just some of the many great themes you will hear throughout this trilogy. I highly recommend it if you have never listened to them before!

I think that the Distortus Rex is a sympathetic animal; hear me out.

I love, and am so fascinated by the Distortus Rex. I enjoyed Rebirth a great deal, but it obviously had several flaws, and the lack of D-Rex was one of them. However, after playing the Rebirth Expansion in Jurassic World Evolution 3, I see it in a bit of a new light, and it's one of my favorite Dinos, even if it wasn't obviously ever real.

The Distortus has been raised and has known nothing but pain her entire life. She's really not just a monster at all; she's just curious.

To quote Evolution 3:

Lily: "You should know that I've decided to return to the park, but don't worry. I'll make sure the Distortus rex goes back underground before I leave."

Callie: "Wait, I think we should keep it contained on the surface. For research, to see how it responds and behaves. Imagine the data we could gather."

Lily: "Data? It's going to escape again."

Callie: "Ms. Halford. Ms. Halford. The Distortus rex isn't a perfect animal, but it is an animal. As your final act, please, let it live like an animal. Fresh air, stars, sunsets, just for a little while."

Jurassic World Evolution 2 on Switch 2 is an absolute joy.

I've played several hours of gameplay (primarily in just campaign mode) in handheld mode only, and here are my main takeaways so far:

- Frame rate falls somewhere between 30 and 60fps

- Graphics look just like or even better than PS4 / Xbox One (but obviously worse than PS5 / Xbox Series)

- Has EVERY piece of DLC, including all campaigns, under one price tag

  • FPS can dip a bit heavily if you zoom in on a Dinosaur in a very high foliage

- Controls are tight, and you can tell they put a decent amount of effort into optimizations

- This isn't my exclusive to the Switch 2 version, but I LOVE how there are no genders / sexes here. I can finally have a Dominion Giganotosaurus and have it be a male in my head canon

- It's just a ton of fun having it on the go, and it's a dang good version!
