Absolute beginner, I saw something cool on a YouTube video, can you help me replicate/understand

Hi all to put it simply I was watching YouTube and I saw a networking guy who had it setup that he can type

sonarr.home and it took him to his sonarr instance instead of typing 192.168……….. etc

How is this achieved and is it easy ?

Does my home external up address changing (which could happen) stop my tunnels from working?

Hi all,

I started my Cloudflare journey tonight and wanted to check that my setup will continue working correctly.

I bought a cheap domain through Cloudflare and pointed it at my external IP address (94.175.xxx.xx). I’ve recently learned that this IP isn’t fixed and my ISP could change it at any time.

I followed this YouTube guide:
https://youtu.be/o4OFKBev6hU?si=hWZ6k9UMQQbNDbOS

The video walked me through setting up external access to my Sonarr/Radarr Unraid Docker using a cloudflare tunnel using subdomains like:

sonarr.DOMAIN.co.uk

Everything is working great so far, but now I’m worried that if my ISP changes my external IP address, everything will suddenly stop working.

Am I understanding this correctly? If so, what’s the proper way to handle this?

Thanks!

Can we stack the clubcard + 10% off with the colleague discount?

My sister works for Tesco and I was given her family colleague Discount card, I recently learned that you get 10% off when you subscribe to club card plus can these both be stacked ?

What’s your ISP down, backup solution?

Internet has been down since Sunday and it’s really highlighting the fact I’ve got no backup plan for long term internet outage

Recently moved from Plex, does jellyfin not have an in app download section?

I travel with both iOS and android devices and with Plex I would que up stuff to download and I could then watch within the Plex app when I had no internet ( when it actually worked lol) is there no jellyfin version of this ?

All my downloads seem to just download a physical file to my phone or tablet

Question for anyone using this light switch

I’m looking for a bit of advice.

I’m in the UK and want to install this in place of a traditional light switch. I recently had a rewire done and now have a neutral wire behind the switch, so that part’s covered.

My question is: will this switch let me control the main light it’s physically wired to (the one a normal light switch would turn on and off) through Home Assistant?

And can one of the other two buttons be set up to control smart bulbs or plugs elsewhere in the room?

Hi all,
I’m experiencing a strange, consistent video hitching/stuttering issue when streaming games from my host PC. It’s not completely unplayable, but there’s a noticeable repeated hitch that happens regularly.

Host PC
Fresh install of Windows 11
RTX 4080 SUPER
Ryzen 7 7800X3D
Connected to LAN via Cat6 Ethernet

I’m currently running the latest version of Vibeshine (I switched from Sunshine because Vibeshine creates a virtual monitor that exactly matches the client device’s resolution and refresh rate).

I was previously advised that mismatched resolution or refresh rate might be the cause, but this issue was also present when I was using standard Sunshine.

Client Devices Tested

I’ve tested multiple clients and the issue appears on all of them:

Amazon Fire Stick (using Ethernet adapter)

iPhone 17 running the latest Moonlight app

Another gaming PC in the living room using the latest Moonlight Windows client

Key Point
The hitching/stuttering only occurs while streaming. When playing the game directly on the host PC, everything is perfectly smooth with no issues.

Any ideas what could be causing this would be greatly appreciated.
