help me with the first game

Well, I started playing the game because I heard a lot of recommendations, mostly about its gameplay and loop, and honestly I find it satisfying to go out, kill things, get scrap and iron, and upgrade gear to face more enemies. That said, I feel the game is kind of rushed. I’m already in the labyrinth—I started the game on the hardest difficulty, reached the 'city,' and then that creature killed me (I guess it’s supposed to). I entered the base, activated the generator, then geared up, and suddenly everyone started treating me like a hero. I know they call you that in the intro, but it felt strange for them to say it out of nowhere.

I advanced with a fresh character on the hardest difficulty until the first boss, and realized it would be very hard, so I decided to reset my character and upgrades. From there everything feels rushed, and I don’t really understand much. I’ve just been upgrading my gear whenever I can and I got the flamethrower pistol. Other than that, the blacksmith only sells me weapons and armor from other classes, but nothing else. Am I doing something wrong, or when will he sell me more things? Any advice? Thanks, and sorry for my bad English.

[GoG] thanks u/kingsboyjd, for helldivers <3

Thanks to him I can fight alongside my SEAF brothers again. Seriously, this community is amazing thanks to everyone who dedicates themselves to helping other gamers.

PS: [GoG], because I think that’s the one for giving thanks, sorry if that’s wrong.

[REQUEST][STEAM]please help a marine and his little sister get back into the game, helldivers 2

Please recommend me a game based on the context below

One of the parts I enjoy most about the Halo saga is when I’m leading a big group of soldiers, with some badass music in the background, fighting against those “unbreakable threats.” Then a grenade on my side takes out three enemies, but a rocket from one of theirs kills two of my squad, and overall there’s that feeling of chaos and “camaraderie.”

Games that give me this feeling are: Halo, Gears of War, Enlisted, Alien: Dark Descent and kingdom rush a little bit.

I don’t care about the genre, but FPS would be the best. Thanks, and sorry for my bad English.

starfield

I just finished Halo CE, and apparently because of my processor the game was kind of broken. I’ve been wanting to play Starfield for a while, but from what I’ve seen my graphics card probably won’t give me a playable experience. With everything set to low in a city I get around 30 FPS, so in combat or larger areas I think it won’t work. Does anyone know if the game is better updated now, or if there’s a way to make it playable in big battles and have an enjoyable experience (without broken shadows or anything)? Thanks, and sorry for my bad English. (i3-7100, gtx 1060, 16 ram)

How do I install this mod?

https://www.nexusmods.com/halothemasterchiefcollection/mods/1436

Not just this mod but rather this is an example, how do I install this type of mods that replace a .map file in the game? In the description of that mod it says I should replace spacecamp with the mod’s file and disable the anticheat, and that’s it. But when I searched in my Halo MCC I only found spacecamp.info, not a .map file. What am I supposed to do?

And another thing: if I’m playing offline and with a cracked version, how can I disable the anticheat? Thanks, and sorry for my bad English.

3 questions about Halo CE

My first question is: why are there so many Covenant, Flood, and the sentinels on the Pillar of Autumn during the mission The Maw? I understand that the Flood might be attracted to the corpses on the ship and also try to use the vessel to escape the ring, but what are the Covenant doing there? I don’t think they’re trying to escape in it, since they know it’s destroyed, and I doubt they know how to repair a human cruiser.

My second question is: what happened to the UNSC after the mission 343 Guilty Spark? After that mission, no more Marines appear for the rest of the game, which makes it seem like none are left. But then in The Maw, out of nowhere, Cortana communicates with Hammer without us having heard from him since 343 Guilty Spark, and without explaining anything — she just asks for extraction. What was Hammer doing all that time?

And my third question is: where exactly was Hammer going to take the Chief and Cortana if he extracted them? Does Hammer’s Pelican have a slipspace engine? I should clarify that I haven’t read the books — I know there’s Halo: The Flood, so enlighten me. Thanks, and sorry for my bad English.

what are 5 skills I can develop from home that I can benefit from both in life in general and to make money from them?(context below)

Today I went out with my great-uncle to buy some things for the house, sugar and that kind of stuff. On the way we ran into my great-uncle’s brother, he was working cleaning and cutting plants in a yard. Well, I live in the third world so don’t imagine him trimming roses with scissors or anything like that, he was cutting the grass with a machete and separating trash from the soil with a rake. Something really “manly,” let’s say, hard work. Anyway, somehow the topic came up and I asked him how much he charged for that job, and he told me that tomorrow when he finished they would pay him 2,000 pesos (about 3–4 dollars) in my country.

That’s not the point though. He jumped from that and told me something like: “If you’re at home all day with your phone or in front of the TV, nobody’s going to bring money to your house, you have to go out and look for it.” I kind of took it as a personal attack because he made the gesture of playing on the phone, so it felt a bit mocking. I laughed it off, but it left me thinking.

Right now I’m not working or studying, basically just idle at home. Of course, it’s not by choice; I’m trying to keep studying because I feel it will be more valuable for me than working for so little. Anyway, that made me think: from home, what are 5 skills I can develop from home that I can benefit from both in life in general and to make money from them? If possible, without having to enroll in courses or anything, basically for free. (Also, if you recommend a skill, please explain how I can learn it and where, don’t just say “airplane mechanics” without more information, okay?) Thanks, and sorry for my bad English.

Does a GTX 1060 weigh enough to cause sag?

Where I live, even GPU support bases that cost around $5 are already expensive, and besides, they don’t exist in my country — I would have to look for one from abroad. There are no LEGO pieces either, and even if I found something that could work as a base, I would have to take the PC to a technician so they could open it and install it because I don’t know how to do it, and I’m worried about breaking it.

(Still, if you think of a good object, recommend it.)

So here’s my question:

Does a GTX 1060 weigh enough to cause sag (meaning bending because of its weight), or will it be fine?

Thanks, and sorry for the bad English

How do detectives learn?

Well, I’m a big fan of everything related to crimes, murders, etc. In my free time I sometimes watch YouTube videos about a crime or a famous killer, and in mystery TV shows I always try to pay attention to see if I can anticipate the resolution of the case or learn something.

Now, I was thinking… what better way to learn than by using real life, right? So I was wondering: do police officers have any kind of public tool where they study to improve logical thinking or something like that?

For example, maybe some public videos about cases solved by veteran officers, where the “exercise” is seeing how that officer solved the case — like what pattern he followed and so on.

Does something like that exist?

halo campaing evolved, GTX 1060, 16 gb de ram dualchannel, i3-7100

So, once again with Halo: Combat Evolved — I’m playing it at around 30–35 FPS, sometimes higher, but very unstable. For me it’s playable, that’s not the important part. The problem is that the game looks bad, kind of blurry, and I can’t really explain it. There are thousands of videos about this on YouTube so I’m sure you know what I mean. Now my question is: does anyone know how I can make it look better?

xcom vs alien(I don’t know which flair use)

I’m not really a fan of RTS games, but I recently finished Alien: The Dark Descent and I loved it. XCOM is similar to that, do you recommend XCOM? Which one should I start with? Thanks, and sorry for my bad English.

Can I avoid this mess?

I know that having many parts is inevitable, it depends on where I download it from, but is there any way to avoid such a mess with the parts? For example, is there a way to make it so that only part 1 starts downloading, and the other parts wait, then when part 1 finishes it automatically goes to part 2 without me doing anything, and so on? Also, could I avoid that waiting time that shows up? (the green icon). Thanks and sorry for my bad English.

shooter game with offline grinding

I’m trying to be specific and at the same time not too much with this post. I’m looking for a shooter game with offline grinding, but above all I want a game to have running in the background. I like watching videos while I play, but obviously I can’t watch an episode of House M.D. while playing something like Skyrim, because I wouldn’t understand either the plot of Skyrim or the plot of House. You know? Also, I’m looking for something dopaminic, not those kinds of games about making infinite money or stuff like that, but still with its dose of dopamine. That’s why I mentioned a shooter with grinding. But if you can think of a game that makes you feel identified, recommend it. Thanks, and sorry for my bad English.

steam cards

Well, I’m screwed. In my country it’s practically impossible to buy games, there’s no PayPal and games are really expensive — 5 dollars, which is considered cheap, is around 3000 in my country’s currency. And now I got the idea about trading cards, meaning selling them, saving up, and then being able to buy things like Helldivers 2 or some multiplayer games, which are the ones I can’t play. Well, I don’t fully understand how the cards work. Is what I’m planning possible? How do the sales work? Can I do it without having my account activated? i can do it just using free to play games? How long will it take? Does Steam give infinite cards? Thanks everyone and sorry for my bad English.

Custom battles in Halo?

I was watching a short on YouTube and the guy was using something like ‘gameplay’ spectator mode from Halo 3, showing some ODSTs fighting a Brute Chieftain and then a battlefield in general. The thing is, these aren’t campaign missions—they look more like Halo 3 multiplayer maps. So I was wondering, is there any sandbox mod to make custom battles? Thanks, and sorry for my bad English.
