Offer on app

There is a deal / offer on my app regularly for a Regular #2 with chips and a drink for $10.99.

But I don’t eat ham or cappacuolo.

Can I write in the comments to remove all meat and add veggies manually in the app? Basically I want to turn the #2 into a veggie.

If I get a regular veggie sub, it is more expensive than $10.99 (with chips and a drink).

I don’t understand why a #2 is a better deal than a regular veggie sub.

Unicorn pop

I finally tried this the other day, as my local Starbucks had been sold out on this.

It was cloyingly sweet.

I don’t think I can handle cake pops anymore.

I prefer the vanilla bean scone or the rice crispy treat.

Does anyone know of other treats at Starbucks that are not too sweet? Has anyone had their cookie or brownie? Are those good?

How do I learn this

I was raised by a single parent and they did not teach me how to cook at all. I couldn’t learn by watching because they were cooking when I was at school / work. They were making complex entrees that you can’t just learn by watching anyway.

So now I have a blank slate. I don’t know how to make anything except ramen noodles (on the stove) and mac and cheese out of a box. And maybe a sandwich.

How do I learn how to make real food?

I mean, recipe books don’t include the nuances or the “secrets” of what you need to know to cook for one. They assume you already have the knowledge. And a lot of times, some ingredients are not sold in regular grocery stores, so I have idea what to do for substitutions.

I am mostly vegetarian. If I am craving chicken or something, I will just go out to eat for that.

Also, my parent told me it is too difficult and I should just eat out. But eating out is not healthy. I have high cholesterol and literally cannot keep this up.

And if all I had was salads / soup everyday, I cannot live off of that. I need variety and actual food.

Does anyone have any thoughts / ideas?

First studio apartment

I am looking for a studio apartment in my area, but the smell of the paint bothers me. It gives me headaches, and skin rashes. I can’t even fall asleep at night because all I smell is paint (from when they painted before me moving in). I even had to break a lease in the past.

Most studios have a high turnover rate. People stay for one or two years and move out. Hence, the apartments are always being painted / renovated.

How do others deal with this? It is like living in a perpetual construction zone because someone beside your apartment or above it could be moving out any day.
