Can I apply for a Master's program with a higher diploma?

I have a bachelor's degree, but it's a general degree, and besides, I wasn't doing well during those years, so I graduated with a poor academic record and only a passing GPA.

I hesitate a lot when trying to apply for a master's program because I feel ashamed to apply with this embarrassing record. I don't even want to ask for a recommendation.

So I was wondering if a higher diploma could compensate for that.

Does a higher diploma help in finding a job?

Hello everyone. I graduated with a degree in general biology, and it's extremely difficult to find opportunities. I was considering pursuing a master's degree, but due to several factors, I feel that this degree would require a lot of work and preparation.

I would appreciate any advice or experiences from those who have obtained a higher diploma. What difficulties and challenges do you face with this degree? Will it save me from unemployment, and is it okay to study remotely? I care for a family member and cannot leave them. Thanks

Growing old is painful.

I was at my grandmother's house. She's the only grandparent I have left. Her husband died. And when her sister died, my brother said, "She's the last one left of her family."

She used to smile, dance, and talk, but now she's more like a zombie.

Grandparents' memes are no longer funny to me; instead, they bring back nostalgia and sadness.

That moment, when I checked my account on a government website meant to help the unemployed and I discovered they had scheduled an interview for me months ago and hadn't notified me.

Is this millet safe for budgies? I used to give them the brown variety that's the color of corn kernels, but it was harder to find, so I bought this from the herbalist, and they ate it, but I'm worried it's not good or dangeres.

Midnight Library by Matt Haig

I finished this novel the day before yesterday.

I know she receives a lot of criticism and I can understand why, especially since she seems very childish and predictable.

But honestly, I enjoyed it and finished it. I've been suffering from a kind of burnout that has made it difficult for me to finish any book for a while now, and this was the first book I've finished in years.

Although the events were predictable, I agreed with the lessons the author wanted to convey, such as that life is unpredictable and can be either good or bad. I like it because I have experienced some unexpectedly bad experiences in my life.

In addition, the concept of the library of many lives was brilliant and could have opened up possibilities for more complex stories. I wish the author had explored it further. It's a vibrant and wonderful story, and I became attached to many of the characters, but the author succeeded in giving them their place in the narrative without focusing solely on Nora.

The pigeon as a companion

Hello everyone, I've been looking for a good companion animal for a while now – one that doesn't require much care, isn't overly active, but is also affectionate and loyal. In short, a mix between the attachment of a dog and the calmness of a cat. Parrot breeders have suggested that pigeons might fit this description. I'm wondering about the difficulties and challenges of caring for pigeons.

I've seen a lot of city pigeons and I'm amazed by their large size, as well as their droppings. Is this manageable?

Also, it seems that taming pigeons doesn't take as long as taming parrots, and they are not as reserved as parrots, requiring more than a year to tame. However, they may never be fully tamed if they are not accustomed to humans from a young age.

Any tips to help accustom a budgie to a smaller cage?

I have a larger cage for my budgies, but unfortunately, because of its size, I can't take it with me when I travel by car in a few days. I put them up for sale because of this problem, but no one has contacted me yet, so I've decided to get them used to a smaller cage that's more suitable for transport and travel anyway.

Conure or Cockatiel

Hey everyone. I've always wanted a pet companion. I've been torn between cockatiels and conures. People say conures are better, but I'm afraid they're too energetic. I know they're very active birds, like lovebirds, but I'm wondering about the difficulties. Cockatiels seem affectionate, but they're calmer, though they're not as good as conures when it comes to companionship. I don't mind a little activity, but I'm afraid a conure would be hard to control and wouldn't suit me because of its hyperactivity. Plus, I'm worried about dealing with messy droppings everywhere, especially since they move around a lot and have watery droppings. I just want a bird that's loyal and affectionate like a dog and bonds with its owner, but also less active like a cat—playing sometimes and then relaxing for most of the day. I've completely ruled out lovebirds because I've heard they're very energetic, but I don't know much about conures.

Edit: Thank you all for your time. I think I'll get a cocktail; the conures look great and I think my family would love them, but unfortunately, they're not suitable for me right now. I'll leave this post up so it might be useful to someone else in the future.

Does anyone know of a good game for $8.59?

I tried to get a refund from a store via PayPal, but they're charging exorbitant fees for the amount I'm getting back into my bank account. I decided I wanted to buy a game with it using PayPal.

edit:thank you all

I know this sounds silly, but does anyone have a trick to transfer $8 from PayPal to my bank account without fees?

I'm not from the United States, so in my country, $8 is roughly equivalent to 40 in my local currency. I'm extremely broke and need it. If I pay fees, I'll only have enough left to buy chips. I bought a product from a store and then returned it. The store had trouble transferring the money directly to my account, so they said they could refund me via PayPal. I had a good experience with PayPal before, but I haven't used it in a while.

I tried using the free transfer option instead of the instant transfer option which has a fee, but my card always went to the instant transfer. I contacted customer service, but they didn't help me.

This is ridiculous. If I had known they would charge a fee for refunding money to my account, I wouldn't have requested a refund via PayPal.

Can you describe a country using emojis that remind you of that country while others try to guess which country you mean?

It's okay if the emojis are negative because that will make these comments more fun.

Edit:Since you're all enjoying this, don't forget to reply to the new comments.

Last night before bed I took four allergy pills to increase effectiveness, and this gave me a strange feeling. I slept for about 14 hours.

Thank God it's the last of these pills left. Next time I'll get pills that don't cause drowsiness.

I've also started taking vitamin D to reduce my use of allergy pills, and I hope this works.
