I think there are too many people on reddit who are either too stupid to read something properly, or too rude to care.

I don't know how many times I will ask an innocent question, and someone will respond with something so useless it does absolutely nothing for the answers I am seeking, or treat me rudely and sometimes even insult me for something in the post.
For a few examples I have had personally these few weeks.
A post I make about a game not displaying customisation and if there are any options to enable it or any mods that do something similar - A guy responds saying he never cared for it and doesn't know if there is anything.
Why in the world would I care that a random stranger doesnt know my answer, and doesnt care for it. Why is he here. It's such a useless comment to make.

Here's another, I asked a question in regards to fitness (i find the fitness community here to be especially volatile, you do anything wrong or not optimal and people jump down your throat) basically going "here is my routine, should I add a core day to it?". Someone responds saying my routine is terrible under a false presumption that I cleared up in the change I made, and when i respond elaborating on how my personal split works, he then further insults it and says "no wonder your core is weak".
The whole reason I made the post was to remedy this problem, and the only thing this guy could say was to be insulting and rude to me over having this problem. And if there is an issue with my split, i would love some suggestions however he did none of that besides being just mean.

A last one (but there are others I and others can think of), I asked a question to a male oriented sub about shaving. I am 21 years of age and a man, but I have never been hairy so when I go from having to shave once every two weeks now to once every two days, I asked if there is any way to slow down hair growth and if not, how to manage it.
However, with the way I typed the post (aka, a lighthearted one), I had way too many people assume I was a child and then insult me repeatedly, saying I am a dumb kid, that I'm throwing a tantrum, etc, when all i was doing was asking a question and then saying "No, im actually an adult with autism, that's why im strange". It was over 60 i think total of comments from people insulting me simply because of the way I typed and assumptions they made? All because I asked how to shave! Of which, there were plenty of people that gave great answers I use today, which makes the insults even more unnecessary.

There are so many more things I can takl about with how people act on this site, like how if I ask a seemingly stupid question people will take offence in my comments rather than just, scrolling, but I'll save the rant.

Is this post gonna accomplish anything? Fuck no, but it feels good to bitch about people on this site because I'll look like a loser anywhere else and especially irl, so id rather look like a loser to a bunch of reddit strangers

Good splits for someone going 4x a week?

I have been going to the gym doing calisthenics for a few months now and love it, however with how busy it is being a student and working my part time night shifts, I find it difficult to go as often as I used to (used to be 5-6x a week).

Currently, I do a [Push/Pull - Pull/Push - Leg/Rest - Push/Pull - Rest - Rest] split.
The upper body days are essentially inverse of each other, so if i do Push - Pull - Push in the week, the next week ill do Pull - Push - Pull.
The legs/rest day in the middle is essentially me going "can i be arsed going to the gym right now or no?". I work as a night cleaner 3 nights a week and finish pretty late at night (10pm typically), and if I got class on that day as well the last I want to do after a whole day of studying and then going to work is going to the gym to get sweatier, but if it's the holidays or I'm feeling motivated I'll go. Optimal? No, but having a flex day keeps me sane.

Anyway, I have had a couple of people say on my previous post this isnt ideal due to how much upper body i focus on rather vs legs, however it's really the only split I know and am comfortable with. I want to go as hard as I can on these muscle groups to grow them as well as I can.

However, if there are better suggestions out there for different splits i would love to hear out, as I want to optimise my routine more and not miss any bases.

PS: I was also thinking of turning one of the rest days into a core day, as I find doing core on leg days to exhaust me too much.

Dedicated core day?

Hi all, I have been doing calisthenics on a PPL split for a few months and I love it, however I can never find the time to do core / balance (the cool shit like handstands) as I am too tired to do them. Either I do it in the middle of my leg days and im too tired to finish my legs or i finish my legs and am too tired to do anything for my core outside of maybe 3 sets of something, so I have been thinking of incorporating a core exercise into my split.
I do [Push/Pull - Pull/Push - Rest - Legs - Push/Pull - Rest - Rest].
Perhaps a dedicated day on one of my rest days for the core? Or is that too much work on the core and I'm overthinking it?

Thank you

Edit, to elaborate on my routine, the [Push/Pull] parts is because since i do an odd amount of them throughout the week, I end up either doing one or the other on the first or second week

Beer with my friends for my 21st the other night. “There is something wrong with your worker”.

Pic unrelated, had a very lovely night and its honestly just my way of posting this here lol.

I am autistic. Diagnosed when i was 10 years old at a gp down the road from me. Im described as high functioning, aka i can live as an independent adult without assistance (I work a part time job, I go to university and I have an active social life all myself, so id say that’s true).
It’s something that those who know how autism looks can pick it up in me pretty quickly if im not masking but normal neurotypical people have no idea. I have been told by many a person they wouldnt have guessed if I didnt say i was, which outside of my fucked up accent (americanish despite being a born and raised aussie, however I am working on changing it), I do a pretty good job of keeping my more socially undesirable aspects to myself.
These past few years since finishing high school, I have been coming to terms with the identity i have; I am disabled. My life will be harder than others, I have an on average higher chance to have other illnesses like depression, I will forever struggle with understanding people without proper training and practice and no matter where I go, who I am with, it is incredibly hard for me to feel like I belong. I am an alien in human skin, and honestly I am okay with that. I dont want to be a normal person, it seems exhausting not being true to myself. The way I do things, my circle is smaller but I just, dont pretend anymore. I dont hide being autistic from my friends, I don’t hide the special interests, I don’t care for what others judge me for, because I am happier being me than I am being anyone else.
But it’s not all great.
i work as a janitor at a major supermarket here in australia (if you live here, 50% chance your guess is correct). I essentially work by myself around the staff, going from when the store is open and finishing a few hours after close. During the first few hours of my shift when the store is open, there is the floor workers, and one of them is yhe most autistic person to exist. He skips along the floor instead of walking, he’s always eager to help, he talks to himself outloud, he needs to be touching one of the railings or walls as he walks by, he has the autistic intonation of the way he talks, and he never holds eye contact.
It’s the exact way I acted until I was about 11, when I got into an Autism Learning Program (essentially “people studying 101), although he is still clearly more on the spectrum than me without this autism program.
Every little piece of the things he do i see myself in, I dont do it nearly as obvious but i still glide my hand against the wall when im walking sometimes, I still talk to myself when im sure no one can hear me or no one will care, i dont hold eye contact to my friends (only to strangers or people im masking for). All of what he does, I either used to do or do now in a much more subtle and personal way. Not because i subdue it, just becayse its more me.
However one night I overheard the floor staff in the break room talking about what a customer said that night. Essentially the autistic guy i work around was making sure a customer was okay, and the lady took some form of offence to it, reporting him to someone else. Of course he didnt get in trouble as they explained he’s autistic and doesnt mean anything by it, but then the customer says “There’s something wrong with your worker”.
There’s something wrong with your worker?
You mean the man right in front of you? The man who drives a car himself, the man who works his job to provide for himself, the man who is trying to serve you? There is something wrong with him because he is different?
It’s been an incredibly long time since I have heard someone say something like that about people like me, i used to hear it a lot as a kid when i was bullied. But it was a reminder than I will always be wrong, i will always be incorrect in this world.
If I do not mask around normal people, if i do not put on a voice and use words i never say, pretend to be someone else to make everyone else feel more comfortable, hold eye contact that i hate, laugh at jokes id rather hate, play pretend for every fucking person in front of me who i do not know and thus cannot trust, I will be put right there in the same category. I will be wrong. I am just good at pretending to not be. Only around those I trust can i be myself.

Resonance of fate, any way to see your modifications made on your guns in game?

Id love to see what wacky shit i put on my guns in game , but it doesnt look like there’s any way to see it which is a bit disappointing. Is there any way to see any modifications? or maybe a mod?

Resonance of Fate: combat. Need a few clarifications on how enemies attack

Just bought RoF.
Combat is surprisingly not that bad, i actually like it. It’s super 2000s action movie, and surprisingly not that hard to understand. There is a LOT to chew on but the game does a good enough job of explaining it, all except the way enemies attack. So my impression was that it was initially turn based, in that enemies attack on their turn, and i attack on mine yet it seems that some enemies attack as soon as they get a full charge, and other times if im in rheir sight lines theyll start the charge but wont do the attack if i leave their sight lines. Im just a bit confused in how exactly the enemies and their attacking / turns work?

Failed a class, what now?

Hey guys, i failed my drawing class that i took last semester this year, but i passed the rest of them. Halfway through the class i expected to fail because i was NOT at the expected skill and confidence level that the unit expected of me, so i just did things at my own pace and still learnt a lot.
I really dont want to just, repeat the unit because the amount of mess and money it costed me was ludicrous (art supplies, easels, stands, paints, etc) so is it possible for me to get those credits over a online class on the next semester break? Or through other means? Or am i going to have to take an extra semester just to get one extra class done?

Just ready about half the grimoire cards. Wow, this stuff should really have been in the game

“You are a dead thing made by a dead power in the shape of the dead. All you will ever do is kill. You do not belong here. This is a place of life.”
Wow what a fucking quote, and an incredible way to introduce the deeper meanings of the light and dark in destiny 1. Throughout the game the vanguard have repeatedly seemingly dehumanised factions like the fallen (they refer to them as “it” quite a bit) and it always irks me the wrong way, because these are still fully sentient beings who act this way out of partly out of desperation. So to have the very nature of the traveller and its light be questioned is incredibly insightful, lets the player question what exactly they are doing. Like, we are referred to as guardians yet we kill so many enemies, some are genuine threats that need to be killed like the hive but others, such as the cabal and especially the fallen, i think could be negotiated with like the awoken of the reef are (which does happen in D2).
Then there is also an entire short story on the reef wars, what even was twilight gap, etc.
So why is all this not in game? What kind of design decision was this? The game has now got so much more depth because of this lore, yet even on launch it was annoying to get and today you need to use destiny checklist to even know which ones you got.

What’s the better upgrade for Mystic Spearhand, Dwarven or Vermundian?

Havent unlocked the dwarven area yet (just got to battahl and did the M SH maister quest) but i keep seeing dwarven be the recommended enhancement path, but in my eyes wouldnt vermundian because of the higher damage? Can anyone clear this up for me please?

Rereading berk from the start, what’s a good way to go through the golden age?

I finished the golden age arc a few years back but ran out of physical manga. after being a broke uni student I decided itll be better to just read online and buy later otherwise im never gonna finish the story (One deluxe volume is like $80 here, which is pretty much my entire weeks budget for spending) and buy them later.
I am finishing up the black swordsman arc and i want to go through golden age a different way, as previously i have both read and watched the original anime.
I saw the memorial edition and it looks beautiful however I want to know if its a good piece to pick up the manga where it left off, or is it like the original 97 anime where it cuts off the connecting tissue between arcs to tell the story alone?

Personal idea for a new light specialisation: Teleport!

Lights now the only class without a new specialisation and whilst i dont think its necessary, I do think it’s definitely got a lot of room for creativity.
So, I got to thinking; what would a potential fourth light spec be?
This led me down my line of thinking, some mobility or utility gadgets are actually lesser versions of lots of abilities in game.
Dome shield - Heavy shield
Goo nades - Heavy Goo Gun
Grapple - Medium Zipline (bit of a stretch but its my reddit post)
Vanishing Bomb - Light invis
Data reshaper - Demat for Medium
So that got me thinking what are some utility or mobility gadgets that could be used and turned into something bigger, and the one that stood out to me was Lights gateway.
So, why not give light a teleport? It can be used to sort of bridge the gap between dash, grapple and invis (good verticality and good movement, but doesnt excel in both like grapple / dash does, and teleporting would be a good stealth tactic to disorientate your enemies).
The way Id imagine it working is like the dishonoured teleport, but maybe you can even go through walls or something, or maybe only so if there’s a tiny gap?
Idk but what do you guys think?

I want to help people overseas in conflict zones or in zones that need help, I'm currently a journalism student at university in Australia. What are some future pathways I can go down in order to do this?

Hey all, I'm a 21 year old studying Journalism in Western Australia and I intent to go into war journalism / investigative journalism / foreign correspondence (probably a mix of the three but we'll see lol). At some point in my life (ideally my 20s / 30s) I want to work in global relief / aid, as a major reason for going into journalism is to help people and expose ne'er doers and the like (and be very poor doing so haha).
I kind of have a future plan which is
- Get Degree
- Work in local news, build up my skills and portfolio
- Move to UK
- Live there for 3-4 years, get citizenship (I am half english so it wont be too hard)
- In the meantime, work in more foreign correspondence / investigative and if i get lucky and get into an organisation, work in war journalism (this part is very vague and to be determined later lol)
- Get my citizenship, by then I should be around 27 - 28
- Spend the next few years with a blank idea of what to do (this is probably when i'd join and work in the UN)
- Semi-retire as a journalist by the time in 31 - 34, start working on getting my degree and then masters in Physics or Chemistry
- Work within that field until my 40s
- Join the European Space Agency via my UK citizenship
- ???
- Become an Astronaut
- Work on spacecrafts and colonisation of planetary bodies

Now is this ambitious? Yeah
Realistic? No
But id rather have an incredibly ambitious plan on how to spend the next two decades of my life. Maybe something will happen and it'll change? Maybe I would want to do something else? I don't know but it's what I got so far.

ANYWAY. Point behind telling all that is that I am curious about what kind of potential jobs I could work by that 27 - 28 mark.
I want to work in the worst of the worst places, helping people however I can. Whether that's with a gun doing security, doing logistics, or perhaps I can turn my Journalism experience into some sort of information role I don't know, but I don't really have the best idea of what specific roles the UN has / offers to someone like me so any feedback is welcome.

Thanks for reading

I have two questions and please please please do not spoil anything

I am playing through this game completely blind and I have two questions regarding it.

  1. I just unlocked Victor and got a Terror Sword and a Grief Polearm. Is there anyway to increase rhe movement speed? I like the look and vibe of the sword but I want it to at least have a B attack speed, i dont like how slow it is and the other weapons (Dual axes, polearm) arent aesthetically my choice but gameplay wise my fav.

  2. Is it worth cranking the difficulty beyond merciless? I am finding the game pretty easy so far and was thinking of maybe increase enemy damage or health or both and I am curious if there’s any recommended parameters or the like or if it just turns every enemy into sponges?

Just trying to understand core muscles

The way I had someone describe the core vs other muscles to me is like “Training your muscles is like levelling different stats, whereas your core is your overall level.” I just want to try and understand it, is having a strong core essentially strengthening every other action the body does, thus helping develop other muscles ?
