Me seeing mfs talk about some "Dive Code" type of bullshit or something similar like that

Dude at that point, just admit either you're throwing the game, are not able to 1v1 said dive or just are plain stupid. By this logic, tanks/suppprts should have codes for not facing each other lmao this is so stupid. Just in case, im calling doing this stupid in comp, not quickplay. Even i know quickplay is not that serious.

Heres a buff idea to give Ultron burst healing without it being broken, give im percentage based burst healing with Two drones with a 10/12 second cooldown on each of them.

Ofc he can still freely apply the drones like he nornally does and shift em around. The cooldown is for limiting said burst healing, not his regular drone usage mind you.

Yo shoutout to the absolutely insane PC optimization of this game.

Like holy heck, my garbage potato somehow can run it on sub 60+ fps while looking halfway decent and being more than playable. I just finished the 3rd sector and im honestly having a blast with it. Already a contender for GOTY on my list alongside RE9.

Finished Resident Evil 9. Flawed but a very fun time (story discussion spoilers are marker appropriately at the end)

I really loved the Grace sections in this game. Sure her arsenal is much smaller compared to the oher survival horror heavy titles, but i liked it. Heck i'd say her sections were more return to form to survival horror roots than re2 ever was (or even 7). I played it on Standard(Classic), and it felt like capcom was more confident in letting players feel more vunerable and be more mindful about resource management. I really liked the scrappy aspects of her arsenal with how the crafting system works, it goes with her character of being a relative everywoman who has to scrap by. The gunplay being snappy helps too with it feeling satisfying when i did decide to pop s9me zombies. But yah i love that the game felt more confident in scaring the player and making them feel more anxiois about resources. Grace is also a really nice character, it was nice seeing her become more brave around her surroudings as the game went on.

Leon sections im more mixed about. While sure, i felt relieved everytime a Leon section popped up in the care center section (short as they may be) since the whole section is linear and tighter, my problems stem from the open ended section Racoon City. Resident evil is at its strongest when the levels are designed around linearity with a focus on interconnectivity between them, so the open ended section at the middle of the game felt really off to me. Now the gunplay is at its peak with Leon, its the snappiest as its ever bee and it was really fun when the game spammed more combat encounters at me, but i felt like there was way too may grace periods of nothing happening in those sections before the action starts. What im saying is Leon sections should have had more combat encounters, like i did at the end. Also i know this game has a lot of nostalgia references, but the re2 (specificaly being more remake centric) key jangling felt a bit um...annoying to me. Tho i kinda i get it, they prolly didnt wanna habe ps1 pixels over the screen, but it does feel like they are shafting the original re2 over the remake hype (which has a lot of story cut mind you). Also the melee felt a bit off with him, the hatchet is fine but the fact that enemies barely get stunned had me barely habe any chances to do kicks. And i also think the game squanderes it potential with how they showcased enviromental takedowns like it did with the trailers..still its a fun time.

This part im gonna briefly discuss the ending scenes of the game so be warned.

>! While its true the spencer redemption arc comes out of nowhere, i really think capcoms intetion was to make players speculate about spencers intetions with elpis. There some factors that make me think this is case that being:

> the fact that Victor said Spencers' research was incomplete, and his conclusion to elpis being an antiviral was that Spencer intended to disable virus based weapons for nuclear anarchy.

> the unlockable Grace reports later state that no one actually knows what Spencer intended with Elpis, thus grace saying Spencer felt guilt was prolly an in the moment thing she didnt exactly believe in.

> Grace saying shes not special even tho there were multiple instances where she should have been infected (the bite at the start, infected blood getting in her mouth, monster victor stabbing her) but didnt makes me think Spencer going all psuedo father figure felt a bit bullshit.<!

So yah, flawed game but really fun

8/10

I feel like this line perfectly encapsulates how batshit insane the story beats of Raidou 1 go in comparison to the era its set in

Me when i boot up my old P5R save file on my El Quatro and look at my frankly dogshit Persona builds that make me look like i never played a JRPG in my entire life

Straight up magic builds on physical personas and the opposite for magic personas while also relegating busted personas as support slop, am i stupid?

I want to rant about the absolute "Genius" desicion capcom made in regards to getting starting weapons in the 2nd playthrough of Re9

So for a little context, my broher and i play on the same steam account. Less hassle this way since we have one single computer.

So after getting Requiem, i let my brother play it first (he's a bigger fan than me), and i avoided all the potential spoilers and gameplay sections so that the fun wouldn't get spoiled for me. So like after he was finished with his playthrough, i got on the game. I got weirded out when i saw how Leons upgrade system (this one i did know about) was availalble in the very start of the game. Made me realize the game doesn't let you start with a full fresh new game after finishing it first.

I was like "Thats fine, i guess" and used it in a semi regular basis, somewhat protecting the spirit of a first playthrough. I was weirded out more when i go shotgun shells but no shotgun during that psuedo boss fight section. Its only after the cutscene where Leon gwts the sniper, i realize i had no sniper. After searching it up, i find out you have to BUY the starting weapons for some reason.

As i said before my brother played it first and i played it after blind, so for me its the first playthrough . Its bad enough the game doesn't let you start a completely fresh new save, there was literally no warning or indication that i had BUY the starting weapons (as i had no idea what the name or how the starting weapons looked like). I spent all the credits i had on upgrading the pistol, hatchet and buying inventory space. You can call me dumb to some degree but capcom designing the game this way is even more dumb i'd say. Now i have almost no credits and a pistol to my name against a sniper section. I am so mad rn i dont even want to play any further (till i calm down i guess).

And thats that...man what a game. What a remaster even

I love how so many of the jank got fixed and all the improvements from the 2nd game got imported in the remaster. Not only that, they also added new stuff into it. Easily the definitive way to play this game.

One thing i was wondering while fighting the final boss was how it was a shame but the banger of an opening theme wouldn't play for the final boss like it did in the 2nd game (since it didnt in the original). But atlus just surprises me and it does play the theme, not only that it also loops better too so.

I was also shook when they let my boy Raidou actually have voiced lines at the end. It really increases impact of his resolve for the future. I especially wasnt expecting him to respond to Narumi lol.

But yah if you're interested, you really should play this. Amazing game and heres hoping the 2nd one will be widely avaialble too. I plan to make a tricks and tips type of post for this game to help people ease into the game since its not the usual megaten experience.

The way the combat works here,i lowkey think this game should have had 6 accessory slots,as ridicolous as that sounds

The game has way too many accessories you'd wanna use in various loadouts, especially in NG+ and the DLC where they made very useful accessories to upgrade your existing eikonic feats. Some of whicb pretty much feel essential (Ramuhs accessory for example). So 6 slots might sound way too much but if the entire theorycrafting hinges on this accessories (alongside eikon abilities ofc), they might as well could have gone all in at thar. 3 slots is way too limiting imo.
