Only now, MTRCB?

Netflix has been in the Philippines for 10 years. Ten years late but welcome. People have watched entire marriages begin and collapse on streaming. Children have been born who think TV means Youtube.

And now MTRCB says it's ready to regulate streaming services like Netflix, Disney Plus, HBO, (VIvamax?) if Congress gives it the power.

There's already a bill in the House. Streaming services could be required to register with MTRCB, carry ratings and parental controls, deal with complaints and, in some cases, take down movies or episodes.

Bilyonaryo entertainer Willie Revillame has bought back WilMall, the prime Quezon City commercial property he sold to the Villar group more than a decade ago, bringing an asset closely tied to the height of his television career back under his control.

Babbler learned that the Villar group had put the four-story mall, part of the Wil Tower complex across from the ABS-CBN headquarters, up for sale for more than ₱1 billion. Revillame agreed to buy back the property for an undisclosed amount.

Revillame is now building a studio inside WilMall, either for his own use or for lease.
