Issues:

1 icon on the chat button despite no new messages [Image 1]
Chat sometimes never loads at all or only loads 1 bugged chat [Image 2]
Chat shows black box aka scrolls to the top whenever you move around to other pages while having chat open, This has been an issue for months [image 3]
This is the bug preventing me from chatting with fellow mods for a few weeks now, Chat is delayed, as seen in image 4 the newest message when scrolled all the way down is from a week ago, Yet on the preview box it clearly shows there is supposed to be a new message from today, Meaning there is a bunch of messages being hidden away from me that i can never see until sometimes days later,
Not seen in the images but chats from months ago sometimes only appear after months of being sent, So someone send me a message on jan 1st 2026 for example, There is a chance i will not get that message until may or something, No idea why this happens, Mostly happens on my alt account u/canyobeatit

This issue also prevents me from seeing modmails and messages from non group chats

Chat is 100% vibecoded and is the worst thing on reddit, it prevents me and my mods from chatting

Known chat bugs that have not been patched for months:

Chats do not load sometimes as seen in image 2

Chat shows black box instead of messages as seen in image 3

Chat shows 1 icon on the top despite no new messages

Chat history is massively delayed, The mod messages you see on image 1 are from days ago, there is a lot of new messages that have been sent through chat since then, in image 3 you can see the preview being something from today, But image 1 shows something different: both of those screenshots are from today, in image 4 i am unable to scroll further down

Chats from months ago suddenly appear in requests meaning not all chats will ever come through to the user you are attempting to message

Normal things should not be elephants, It was just a image of people getting vaccine and Op said the elephant was boob,

2 spez hole designs on the last post i made, No comments are loading anymore AND i cant even make comments anymore on that post, even with cache reset

[Firefox, chrome, any desktop browser] Reddit chat is not functional at all anymore, Cache reset and relogin does not fix, See body text for all issues i have found, [And yes i disabled Cyby client and all other extensions to make sure it was not that while testing]

Anyone else think reddit chat is the worst thing to exist? 1 even though there is no new messages, Mod chat is several days behind unless i view it in mod mail exactly, Chats sometimes just wont load on certain tabs,
