Air Canada Inaugurates Montreal-Berlin Service

This is great, but I'd love to see year-round service. I thought the route was staying until October when it was first announced, but this article says it ends around Labour Day. Not sure if there was a change, or maybe the demand just wasn't there.

First Glance: Riviera Resplendence Revealed Ahead of Inaugural Sailing

It looks swanky, but "resplendent" is probably a bridge too far ... and yes, that pun was intended.

FAA Restricts Boeing 737, 777 and 787 Landings in Canada Over 5G Interference Risk

I'm not sure why this hasn't gotten more coverage, or what it means big picture, but it sounds like a ton of aircraft won't be able to fly into Canada, or specifically, land in Canada. Will this really affect that many flights?

Replacing Cuba? Sunwing Shifting to Alternative Sun Spots

This makes me sad, but I can understand why it's happening ... hoping this isn't a permanent shift, but it may very well be.

I was kinda surprised by this. I mean, it's good news, but I thought they would hold off on it.

Flair Airlines Announces New Montreal-Punta Cana Service

This is great, but it would be even better if it started in November instead of December. Maybe they will expand in the coming years? If anyone knows when this route ends, please share!

AmaWaterways Reveals Europe's Largest River Cruise Ship

This is intriguing. Haven't experienced the AmaMagna, but have questions about the ever-widening river ships and where they can actually dock.

Is it worth waiting for AmaRudi? Or is a smaller ship better?

Never done a river cruise before, but the ships always seem a little claustrophobic compared to what I'm used to (we usually do one Caribbean, Carnival cruise each Winter). My husband really wants to do a summer river cruise, and we've been looking at some options. AmaWaterways double-width ships seem like a good option. I want to wait and book on the AmaRudi (https://openjaw.com/newsroom/cruise/2026/06/25/amawaterways-reveals-amarudi-europes-largest-river-cruise-ship/), but my other half wants to book sooner and smaller, he thinks it will be "cozy" to be on something small, and is looking at Avalon's options—does not like the idea of a double-width ship.
Am I worrying over nothing? How crowded do river ships actually feel? Like, can you find space without other passengers?

MSC Cruises Launches New Spa Treatments Including IV Therapies

Not for me, but a pretty interesting wellness gimmick. Haven't heard of any other cruise lines offering this ... and there might be a reason for that.
