Ghost was a lot of things but he never once threatened to kill his own family. Even when he and tommy were beefing they eventually put it aside.
Tariq betrayed kanan when he realized he had no regrets killinng shawn. His own son. Plus it helped that tariq loved shawn.
If they knew how kanan tried to kill his mom over a misunderstanding, killed his uncles and caused his mother's death later on would they lose a lot of respect for him? Cause keep in mind those three still mourned K after everything he did to them later
Let's not kid ourselves we all know tariq got a whole lot of hate back at og power esp in season 6. Now I'm thinking part of why cane never got ove rhis weird hatred with tariq was because he was basically an avatar for the haters to latch onto. Only it didn't work and just made cane come off as a weirdo always thinking about another man xd.
Maybe that's why his writing is so corny. Bro hated tariq for literally no reason. Bro couldn't even have a plot line, let alone a conversation that didn't involve this nigga until like season 4. We saw this fight in justice league unlimited but vixen was mind controlled and they never finished it as canary only freed vixen from her control by destroying the chip controlling her.
