BASANT 2027 LAHORE UPDATE 🪁
Kite and kite-material manufacturer registration begins today, 5 September 2026, as Lahore moves into the next phase of preparations for Basant 2027.
Here’s what Lahoris need to know:
🪁 Kite and kite-material manufacturers can now begin the registration process
📄 An official NOC will be required before production
🏭 Manufacturing locations will be monitored and inspected
🧵 Only approved kite sizes and permitted materials will be allowed
❌ Chemical-coated string, metallic wire and other dangerous materials remain prohibited
Registration for sellers, traders and associations is expected to be announced separately.
Basant 2027 is currently planned for 12–14 March 2027 in Lahore.
Important: this does NOT mean open kite flying has started.
The registration process is part of preparations for a regulated Basant, and Lahoris should continue to follow officially announced dates, rules and safety requirements.

The woman had just stepped outside with her morning coffee in hand to walk her dog Skoki down the gravel driveway when the bear appeared.
In order to get away, she threw her coffee mug and when she saw the bear go to investigate it, she started running. When she looked back, the grizzly was chasing her once again.
She ran back to where she had been camping with a group and others yelled and motioned at the bear. It eventually wandered off and chased a moose.
