Colonial mindeset widely prevails in Pakistan’s bureaucracy as IG Police and Chairman CDA, Islamabad, both public servants whose job is to serve public, make entry like kings and rulers to Pakistan Independence Day parade. What an oxymoronic scene on “Independence Day”.

And this all extraganza on our hard earned tax money which was meant to be spent on welfare of people but being ruthlessly wasted on pomp and pageantry of few handful elites.

In rest of the world, taxes are collected from rich and spent on poor. In Pakistan, it’s just other way round. Taxes collected from middle and humble class are spent for luxuries of rich and elite class.

Nation needs real independence from this colonial mindset.

ایسے لوگ بھی موجود ہوتے ہیں ایک جوتے پالش کرنے والا بچہ ایک کار کے پاس ا کر رک گیا اور اس کو دیکھنے لگا کار کا مالک اندر ہوٹل سے نظارہ دیکھ رہا تھا اور مالک سے رہا نہ گیا اور فورن اس بچے کے پاس پہنچ گیا اور اپنی گاڑی کھول کا اس کو عزت سے اندر بٹھایا کسی کا دل خوش کرنا بھی صدقہ ہے

This isn’t just a case of “kids being kids.” It’s a massive ticking time bomb.

Underage driving is a serious menace, and far too often, it ends in fatal accidents and shattered families.

The responsibility lies 100% with the parents for negligence and failing to stop them from driving. Parents cannot simply look the other way and claim they didn’t know.

What should be done?

Strict legal action: Parents should face heavy fines and, where warranted, jail time. Existing laws need to be enforced strictly enough to actually deter this behaviour.

And if you see an underage child driving, call the police. Don’t dismiss it as harmless or “just a kid having fun.” It could be a disaster waiting to happen.
